I've always loved this brand; they always use quality leather and build a good pair of shoes. I've owner 3 pair of the Nolan style; love them. However, these shoes just plain hurt to wear. The toe is wide and comfortable but the heal is super narrow, even for someone that normally can wear a narrow heel. Cant send these back because I wore them outside already but I'm going to have to replace with another brand. I regret this purchase.

I wanted to like these shoes, but they are not at all comfortable. The leather is stiff and cuts into my heel. I had them on for exactly 10 seconds before I puled them off and returned them to the box.

I'm familiar w/ Franco Sarto shoes and as they are beautiful they run small.. they offer a lot in black but only one page on brown. Good quality shoe

I wanted to love this shoe. Reasonably priced, good styling for work, comfortable to wear. However, it just didn't last. I first ordered this shoe about a year ago to wear around the office. We're business causal most days and occasionally a suit when meeting with clients. This shoe was good for both. I initially liked the shoe so much I ordered a second pair just to keep in the closet because finding good work shoes can be a challenge. Unfortunately the heal started to break down pretty quickly. I started noticing black scuff marks on my wood floors at home (they would easily rub out) but they were from the shoe leaving residue behind when I walked. After about 4 months of regular wear (wearing them for about 8 hours 5 days a week) the heal started to fall apart completely and the shoe had to be replaced. I hoped perhaps it was just a bad pair, but sure enough the second pair did the same thing. Maybe 4 months of regular wear is all you can expect for these types of shoes. But I've had Clarks I've worn for years. So I'll be looking at other brands. I think if you're planning to wear these shoes occasionally they'd be fine.

Absolutely beautiful shoe but...it's just not comfortable. I"m going to buy cushioned inserts in hopes that will allow me to wear these shoes.

I am a solid 8.5W with a high arch. That said, I felt like Cinderella's step sisters trying to shove my foot into a glass slipper. I could not get my foot in to judge comfort or arch support. However, I could tell a 9 would be too long, which is sad. They are exactly what I wanted. Have to keep looking, I guess.

They are pretty and what I expected. However, I found them difficult to get on. The leather rolls in sort of stuck to my skin as I tried to put them on.

I needed a good looking black shoe and this fits the bill, but is not one of those shoes that feels like you're walking on pillows for sure. I can feel the rubber sole already and have only had these shoes for a couple of months and have worn them a handful of times. Get a pillowy insole for these!

I usually wear a 5 medium. This 5 was very narrow and slipped off at the heel. Been looking for a black loafer to replace my old Clarks and have had no luck. Zappos has been very patient with me.

I wanted to love these! They are stylish and are the perfect look for the workplace. I ordered the 12 and it was far too long so my heel slipped and the shoe gaped on the sides. The box was perfect though so I hoped an 11 would work. The 11 was still too long and was very narrow (I ordered a medium width) so they were returned as well.

I bought this shoe over a year ago on the advice of a friend. When they first came out of the box, I was shocked at how stiff they felt. Over the next 12 months, I'd pull them out of my closet once every 2-3 months and wear them around the house to try to decide if they would work for me or not. Finally after more than a year I decided that I would keep them and wore them outside for the first time. They look very professional and I get many compliments on them but after 2 months they still feel very stiff and I only wear them a maximum of twice a week. I'll probably be going back to Clarks. I find Clarks much more comfortable but haven't been able to find a style as professional looking.

I wear 8 wide in most shoes. I have high insteps, and high flexible arches which means I need arch support. I was tired of wearing heavy, clunky Danskos and Finn Comfort so was really hoping these would work with a small arch support. Even without the arch support, this shoe was very narrow for size wide. Maybe the extra wide would have been better for me. The part over my instep was way too tight and buckled. I've tried wearing them enough that I don't feel good about returning them. My mistake.

Your basic all around work loafer. I don't care what the reviews say...this shoe runs narrow. I've never had to buy a wide shoe. I could cram it on, and the length was great but the width was not. All in all great shoe. Just get a wider one.

Something has changed, as I've had 4 pairs of this "Bocca" style over the last few years and I've loved every one of them. I tried a pair on a store recently, and my normal size (9-1/2N) felt strangely tight and short. I haven't gained weight or changed anything on my side of the equation, so I tried ordering a pair of the same size from Zappos (thinking it was an odd pair in the store), and the same poor, new fit happened with that pair. I tried a 1/2 size larger and its too big. I even tried wearing the 9-1/2N around the house to see if stretching would help. It didn't, as its the cut of the sole and the toe-box (?) construction that doesn't seem to be the same. They even appear to be cut more narrow on the top. I don't know if they've resorted to a cheaper supplier or they are cutting materials to save costs, but after many, many years of wearing this shoe, I can no longer do so. I hope Franco Sarto goes back to the old cut/sizing/quality. I was a big fan, now I'm just disappointed. Bummer!

Very narrow wides--I couldn't even get these on my feet. I do sometimes wear an extra wide, so that might be part of the problem. But I couldn't even get my foot fully in the shoe which is odd.

This is exactly the show I had been looking for! Cute. Stylish. Everything! I was very sad however, when I found that the "wide" was not wide at all. :( Sadly, I had to return them, but Zappos is so awesome about returns it was not a big deal. :)

Not as comfortable or stylish as I wished. The leather doesn't look real leather, also the bottom that touches my feet is very slippery, so my feet do not feel support.

These are clearly high quality and a comfortable fit. But they are so completely bland in person, that I had to return them. They look almost like a guy's shoe because I have such large (size 10) feet...

Shoes are stiff compared to my Clark shoes and seem very heavy - definitely sturdy. They also seem to be too big but did not figure it out until I wore them so didn't think I could return them. Not what I expected based on other reviews but are functional, just not what I was expecting.

Felt like the front was too large but also narrow around the widest part of my foot, while the heel was loose. Not impressed.

The toe is more square than it looks in the picture - it's not a feminine-looking shoe. I bought it in a narrow and was slipping out at the heel.

Conservative looking shoe that works well for work. Well made; supple, quality leather. The only reason I sent this pair back was the W didn't feel wide enough. More cushion and some arch support would have been a big plus.

I really love the Bocca for work and have been buying it for as long as it's been available. It's the workhorse for my travels and especially easy to manage when going through all those security checks at the airports. I have noticed that the quality has dropped a bit now that it's being made in China and that's unfortunate and could influence my future purchases if this last pair doesn't hold up as well as the past ones.

This is about my 4th purchase of this particular shoe which has been my favorite in the past. The shoes I purchased this time are the most uncomfortable shoes I have worn, they are terrible.

Nice tailored look but not so comfortable for me - Shoe is nicely made, appears to be good quality. Although they are not yet fully broken in, the shoe so far is not very comfortable. The sole is stiff and clunky which keeps my foot from bending and leaves me clomping rather than walking. The outside edge of the shoe hits at a weird place and digs painfully into my ankle bone. I bought them to replace my 3-year-old Born loafers, but the Borns are so much more comfy I can't give them up!
