It is a very comfy shoe. My only issue is that, since it's wide, the front fits comfortably but the back is too wide. It is also about a 1/2 size bigger than what I normally wear.

I found my way to these shoes after several unsuccessful attempts to find a black loafer that fit. The Fitzwell loafer similar to this one was my favorite shoe for years, and I was thrilled to find Zappos still carried it. But when I ordered it, the sizing had changed although the shoe seemed to be identical to mine. After two attempts, I gave up and decided to give the Franco Sarto a try. When they arrived, I thought I'd have to utilize Zappos' wonderful return process yet again because they were so tight across the top! After wearing them around the house for a couple of days, however, they felt perfect. Very happy with these.

Nice shoe, but is very tight on my foot and unfortunately wide size is out of stock.

I have two pairs of these shoes in black. I think they are a little overpriced for durability reasons. They look nice for work that is why I bought another pair when the first pair wore.

I ordered the wide, and it felt a little tighter in the toe area than I would have expected with a wide shoe. I wore them yesterday, and they were generally comfortable and looked fine with my work attire. My toes felt a little confined by the end of the day, but I think with a few more days of wear, they will stretch a bit more and fit better. They are sturdy, and the sole and heel feel like they'll wear well.

I have owned two pair of these loafers. The first I got back around 2000, and I finally wore them out in 2008. However, the pair I got in 2008 was not of the same quality because they started to have problems right away. I have had to glue various parts of the sole and hell covering back on, and the sock liner wore out almost instantly. They may indeed be very comfortable, but they are not as durable as they once were.

These shoes are beautiful to look at,and the top leather is very supple. However, event though I ordered the wide the shoe pinches.

These shoes pass the comfort test even after 12 hours of walking around. They are like little men's shoes but that's the point. You look sharp like a pro in them. I always wear them w/ jeans.

This is a great looking shoe and I would have loved for it to work. I have a wide foot and ordered an 8W, but my foot wouldn't even fit in. It really didn't look or feel like a wide at all. But, thank you Zappos for your easy return policy!

I have these same shoes in black and love them. I can never seem to find brown in the stores around me. Actually the black are sometimes hard to find. Just a classic shoe. I do have plantar fascia so these can become a little uncomfortable if I'm on my feet for 6-8 hours standing, otherwise they are comfortable.

I have this shoe in both brown and black. I am very pleased with it. It has great style and decent comfort. I do feel the sizing runs a little small. I usually wear a 10 but in this, I wear a 9.5

It is a lovely shoe and wish I could get used to it. It pinched my toes a little in the front and if I wear with just panty hose it would flop.

Not very comfortable. Taking awhile to get used to. Not stretching out very well.

I really want to love this shoe, but the leather across the top is painfully tight. I am trying to get a Wide in my size to see if that helps, so we'll see. (Unfortunately, it may be my high arches that are causing the problem.) I have a narrow heel and really like how these fit back there.

Overall, I am happy with this shoe. For a wide width, the toe is slightly slender so fits tight but otherwise, fits very well, looks nice, and surprisingly comfortable. I would definately recommend these if you want a nice dress shoe to wear with slacks.

Very nice looking shoe - it is a bit tight at the top of the big toe - but that's probably just my quirky feet.

These shoes are great, I just purchased my second pair. Very comfortable and look nice!

Nice shoe, but runs wide, especially in heel--slipped right off as walk. Definitely masculine-looking shoe. Good for pants.

These shoes are very well made and are a great deal for the price and quality. The toe bed is nice and wide. Highly recommended!

Beautiful black leather but not very attractive style--too masculine. For me the heel was loose but widest part of foot was tight.

Unfortunately I have to return these. I need a wide shoe and ordered the 10 wide and they were still too narrow for me. The leather and shoe are otherwise very nice.

Although they are a little clunky looking I really like these. FYI they run about a half size too big. My feet usually run true to size, if that helps with your ordering.

I love these shoes. These are my second pair. Great to wear with trousers for work. I have bunions, and most shoes hurt my feet. These feel good (until the end of the day but then even sneakers hurt my feet at that point). Well made and stylish. At first they felt tight across the front of my foot but then in only a few days they loosened up enough.

The footbed feels fairly hard after wearing them a few times. Otherwise they are a good work shoe to wear with pants.

This is my third pair of these shoe and unfortunately these do not fit the same way my others did. They seem too tight in the width and the bridge of my foot. Hopefully with time they will stretch.
