These are my mother's absolute favorite shoes, and she wears them everywhere. She has them in every color! They are the "bells and whistles" Mary Janes, with even an adjustable strap across the back of the foot. Mom's leg pain is gone, ever since she discovered and began wearing these shoes. They are feminine(ish) and supportive just where needed.

I’m giving this shoe a 5-star rating because it just might be the most comfortable walking shoe ever...but with a caveat. I usually wear a size 7 -- occasionally a 6-½ -- so ordered it in a 7 which was way too big. I returned it for a 6-½ which was also overly roomy, especially in the depth. I agree with some previous reviews that the part near the ankle comes up high which caused it to rub on my ankle. This problem can be easily resolved by inserting an insole into the shoe (in my case I have orthotics) to fill in the gap...voila! Just to be sure, I walked around my house for awhile and I can honestly say these are as comfortable as one’s athletic shoes, but don’t look like you are ready for the gym. I plan to wear them to Europe as my main shoes which will include lots of walking. One more thing...they are wide, but I would say comfortably wide for walking. If you are narrow in the toe area (which I am not), they will probably be too wide for you and you might want to go one full size down.

I love these shoes!! This is probably my 4th or 5th pair of them. I was searching for a replacement for my brown ones. I have nerve pain in my leg, which sometimes gets me into some limping bouts. I use these shoes at work, when I am unable to wear a shoe with a heel. Extremely comfortable, especially when I need something nearly as comfortable as my running shoes, but a little dressier!

Great all-around sneaker with a bit of style. Adjustable back for comfort and fit. I've had this brand for years and they hold up well.

This is by far, THE BEST shoe for my feet. I have tried nearly every brand and style and this is the one that I can travel with and get through a long day of walking. I do not have the pain I suffer with when I wear other shoes for more than a few hours. This is my fourth pair of these and I will get another color or two. In other shoes I have to wear a 9.5 but in these, I wear a 9 as they run true to size. I end up in the larger size with other shoes because of my bunions etc but the Mephistos are perfect!

Red suede with mesh, size 9. I wear a 9.5 - 10, getting closer to 10 as time goes on. My feet are wide, forfoot is wide with a bunionette. The 9 fits great without socks, thinner socks would work fine. I love love love these shoes. Comfort and protection of the hardcore athletic Keens but less bulky. I would wear these with a casual skirt.

Not enough arch support for me. Runs large. I usually wear a 10 and this is 1/2 to 1 size too big I wear Mephisto shoes in many styles

Comfortable. My feet are experience the effects of age and most shoes I have to take off after a short period of time. Happily, these Allrounders stayed on all day. One slight problem: the collar of the shoe is a little higher than I am accustomed to and it did rub one ankle so I will wear taller socks until they're broken in. Hooray for Zappos who allowed me to try several sizes with free shipping until I found the best ones!

Love them and well worth the price. Inside the lid of box it said to be sure to get a size up if felt small. So I returned the size 8 and got the 8.5 I have a bunion and hammertoe on right foot so that makes the fit tricky. My feet are narrow and Zappos does not carry the narrow which would have been perfect. Fortunately, these shoes are adjustable in width and heel. They do look big but sure are comfortable! If you have difficulty with problem feet, try these!

If this shoes had come in a narrow, they might have worked. I have an orthotic and a flat foot (sort of), so there was too much room for my foot. Otherwise, great stability.

I finally replaced my old roundabouts from 15 years ago. These shoes are well worth the money as long as the fit is right and you have the right size. Excellent walking shoes.

These shoes are amazing. Sometimes I have trouble with my feet swelling due to working 12 hour shifts as a nurse. These shoes enable me to wear them comfortably irregardless. They could use a little more padding in the sole but this is easily remedied with a gel innersole. All in all, money very well spent.

Very comfortable shoes, and great design, however they seem to be half a size up. I usually wear US 8.5 size, which is what I ordered for this item, but I have to return and order 8.

These are fantastic shoes. My first pair lasted 12 years and have walked all over the US and Europe. With the top and back velcro closure you can make the shoes bigger - good for people whose feet swell. The arch support is perfect.

These shoes really work for me after Zappos sending me many pairs to try. They give good support and are very stylish. Thank you Zappos!!

This shoe is a little on the pricey side, but well worth the money! I am a nurse and on my feet for 12 hours a day so my shoes are extremely important to me! First they are true to size, but the velco straps will enable me to loosen them up if my feet swell or if I decide to wear thick socks, and tighten them up if I choose nylons. The support is excellent. I have plantar fascitis and this shoe provides the support I need to prevent pain. All in all, a superior shoe!

I live in Minnesota, so I need a casual shoe (other than outdoor boots) to wear in the winter with socks. Sounds easy, but I have arthritis in my toes and custom orthotics, so it has taken a long time, a lot of patience and Zappos fabulous customer service to hit the jackpot - this shoe! These are comfortable on all fronts, great color and very cute - don't look the slightest bit orthopedic, have a nice wide toe box and I'm sure will last many years. Thank you Zappos and Mephisto.

Great color, pretty good looking shoe. Seemed comfortable. Going back though, sides and back too high, would have rubbed my ankle bones!

This is a great walking shoe. I got this exact same style 13 years ago and have been wearing them ever since, but finally, after 13 years of every kind of terrain walking and hiking, the sole began to deteriorate. This includes walking 6-8 hours a day in Europe, hiking Haleakala Crater on Maui several times - other off road hikes, and lots of daily walking at home. I was thrilled to discover the same shoe is still available. Mephisto is an amazing company. They do have some walking shoes that are more "stylish," but nothing beats this shoe for a combination of walking, hiking, climbing.

Well-made shoe, great color, adjustable everywhere but the toe box which, unfortunately was too wide for me.

I need to replace my Allrounder's. Thought I knew my size, but when I ordered them slightly different style didn't fit. Called Zappos and they got me another pair just like my old ones, no fuss. Had the replacement right away.

These shoes are so comfortable and convenient. They are so easy to slip on as opposed to tying my running shoes to fit just right. I slip them on each morning to go walking. This was a wise purchase.

These are a no for me. They felt really good and supportive, like a sneaker. And I wish I could keep them. But like the other reviewer said, they are cut up too high and hut my ankle bone.
