Shoe is easy on and off, but it is a bit too roomy (and I don't have a narrow foot). It also looks kind of clunky, like it is a size larger than it is. It's very comfortable to walk in; I bought it for summer walking in the city and mountains. If I could, I'd get a half size smaller next time. Otherwise it's a pretty good walker.

I need a vacation shoe that will be comfortable all day and good for walking over all sorts of terrain. I like these a great deal, though I'm not a big fan of camouflage. They don't breathe and I think work better with socks. I had to go down half a size to get the right fit and they run a little wide.

Not up to expected Mephisto quality...pricey for what it is, the materials used and construction of the shoe. The removable insert that is supposed to provide cushioning was really thin and did not cushion my feet at all. I could feel cobblestones under my feet. I needed to add my own additional layer of cushioning material, but to do that I needed to go up 1/2 size. Once my own additional cushioning was added, the shoe was comfortable and I wore them out of the box for several weeks of walking and light hiking around China. Two strap system was nice for adjusting shoes for hiking up and down hills. Nice wide base for foot stability. I thought Mephisto used to be made in France, these are made in China, so not sure why they cost so much.

In my experience, the mapping from European to US sizes is highly variable (and therefore frustrating to me the customer).
I wear a perfect size 11B. Mephisto mapped this to a Euro41 but these are too short by one size.
The tricky part is, different manufactures have different mappings!

These are really cute, but not nearly as comfortable as I hoped they would be for the price and the name brand. More of a hanging out shoe than a serious walking shoe--which is OK, except I didn't need to spend a lot on something like this. There is virtually NO cushioning on the insole. The sole is relatively good, and the rest of the shoe is very comfy. Just not nearly enough padding for walking, which is what I really bought them for.

These shoes are a bit clunky looking, but I was seeking shoes that would work with a new brace that needs a shoebed that can be adjusted so that one foot is adjusted narrower and the brace foot is bigger. The adjustable heel strap, the removable insert and the wide toe box with adjustable top strap made this work for me. It is a very stable shoe and looks good with jeans.

I really loved the style of these shoes on the website. I usually wear a size 7M. I ordered blue in 37. I loved the color but the shoes are not as comfortable as i hoped for. First my toe is touching so it is definitely a half size smaller, and also there is no cushioning. For the price I would have hoped that I would be walking on the clouds if it came in half sizes may be I would have considered ordering a different size, but no luck there. They are returning back. The color is so beautiful.

I really wanted these shoes to work out. Unfortunately, I had to send them back. The size was considerably larger than other Mephisto styles I have bought and loved. Also on this one particular style, the printed material, which looks adorable, seems a bit rough and I could feel that with walking, would rub my heel. I do love the high quality of Mephisto and I have several pair, one of which I bought a couple years ago styled very similar to this, but the lining was a soft leather, not the scratchy material I found this one to have.

I tried The Niro by Mephisto a year ago in a size 36, Recently saw this shoe came in smaller sizes (35.5 & 35) So I thought I would try again, Unfortunately, had to return as the support in these shoes is really lacking for my problem feet! I ordered a 35.5 which is my true size and they fit great. Due to very problem feet, I need a lot of support for walking any length of time and these Niro's simply do not deliver for support. I loved the look! So sad they did not work for me on a second try, my search continues for a casual shoe for lots of walking! Going to put on my Brooks Addiction and walk a few miles! Thank you Zappos for your exemplary customer service!

I have been wearing this shoe for years! I wear orthotics and they fit right in, even with my wide feet! They look cute with or without socks so they can be worn with jeans or capris! The only complaint is that the souls wear out very quickly, considering the price I would have liked them to be more durable!

Good shoe, not as comfortable for me as the Nira. I bought a pair of each for a trip to Europe. I had to wear an ankle support brace, the shoes felt a little tight and for my foot did not have as good support as the Nira, but I did not have a chance to break them in and did not get any sores or blister after wearing them around Paris in the rain.

I love Mephistos! However this pair did not work out for me. I wanted an all around shoe that I could use in all types of weather. The photo of this shoe did not show that the top of the shoe is open. I'm not fond of wet feet and they would not be useful in rainy weather. Sadly, I am returning them as I planned to wear them to Europe during the months of February-May. There is both snow and rain during that time and I need a true "all around" shoe.

After inserting Dr. Scholl pads, these shoes are ultra comfortable. But without the pads, there is very little support. So even though I now have a 5 star comfort level, I'm deducting 1 star for the shoe itself. The shoes are really cute. I would buy a second pair if they were available in brown.

I am enjoying the Allrounder Mephisto. It took a while to become satisfied with the weight, but now feel it serves as more of a support system and I tend to wear them walking, working out and even around the house. Memhisto is not always my favorite brand in spite of all the hype they receive, but I have to say. This is a winner!

The back kept rubbing my ankle even when I loosened the strap. It just hits too high. I know with a lot of use it will irritate my ankle so I need to return these. It is unfortunate because otherwise they were comfortable and easily fit my orthotics.

A very nice all-around shoe and it fits true-to-size and is comfortable enough to wear/walk during an eight hour work day. My only negative is that the shoe feels a little hard when I put it on without socks; this is somewhat unfortunate given the high price.

I bought these shoes due to the fact that I have heel spurs. I was told by my father in law in Germany that the shoes worked for his heel spurs.I actually feel that the shoes hurts my spurs but this may be due to the fact that the spurs on the bottom of my heel are very sharp. I need to give the shoes time, and also the spurs. I do know that the shoe is a well fit shoe. has a great adjusting strap, and the color green is very lovely. I have had many people come up to me just to compliment the shoe!

These Mephistos are my first pair. I was encouraged by the cute, very stylish look and the favorable reviews concerning comfort. As mentioned they run a bit big according to the reviews so I ordered 1/2 size down and made the correct choice. They also run a bit wide but they fit me fine and I\'m very happy with my purchase. I would like to purchase another pair as there are so many choices of colors. I would recommend these shoes to anyone considering them.

These shoes are very good for traveling. I am very sorry they have discontinued this particular combination of b&w patent and fabric, as I would purchase another pair if possible. A clerk in a shoe store said she suggests this shoe to everyone for traveling. We have just returned from a 2-week trip to the Northwest, and I would totally agree with that recommendation. With my arch I can really only wear Chacos, but they have stopped making enclosed shoes, and I needed something to wear in the rain. I purchased some ball-of-foot cushions (at Walmart!) and placed them in the arch to get it high enough for my feet. (It is already higher than most, but not sufficient for my extremely high arch.) It worked very well. I am going to purchase more colors.
