I have been wearing these boots since I got them about 6 weeks ago. I work 12 hour shifts on painted concrete floors, with oil on top.These boots have great traction, and are pretty comfortable.

Great Boot - What is great about this boot is it looks more as a hiking or recreational boot instead of work/steel toe. Great stylish look with comfort and protection.

Who makes these shoes? I keep buying the Caterpillar brand and haven't thrown a pair away. First was the Active Alaska. They fit me so well and lasted forever. I keep cleaning them up and using them for the muddy hikes. Lots of great hikes in those shoes. Now the Hydraulic seems to have all the same comfort in a steel toe. These are now my dress steel toes,I like them a lot.

Buy them! I work in a very brutal automotive test lab & these boots were great from day one. Most comfortable steel toe I have ever worn!

First Steel Toed Love - Had a pair of these for 2 years now. They feel like the day I got them, just great. Have held up just fine, but steel toe's are starting to show, time for a new pair! Buy 'em!

Buy It! I really like this boot. I have really flat feet and this shoe is really easy on them. Did seem to run about 1/2 size too large. (I got the wide one)

Great shoe - These are comfortble and true to size best steel toe shoe.

They are a great work shoe! The soles should be a little more low profile. My ankles are a little weak from sprains in my life and they do turn at times on rough terrain. I must lace them tight to have better ankle support. Probably best on smooth surfaces.

Love this boots, this would be the 2nd Caterpillar boots I've own. Really comfortable, lightweight and easy to walk with. Wore em' to work as soon as I received it (12hours of long work) didn't feel like a new boot that needs to be broken in. Great product!

Recomended! Have only worn these around the house so far. Feel more comfortable and easier to walk in than the other pair of Cat boots I bought. Definately have the "hiker" feel to them rather than "big heavy work boot" feel. I take 1 size smaller in work boots by rule so I ordered accordingly. Cannot be beat for this price.

The only problem with these is that the steel toe digs into the base of my toes. Other than that they were very comfortable.

Soft top, hard bottom - This is a great looking, great fitting shoe. The first 3 or 4 days they felt great, then my feet started to hurt. The top leather part of the shoe is soft and supple. The sole on the other hand is very hard making 9 hour shifts not so much fun. I think the sole will last a long, long time but if they had made it softer this would be the perfect shoe. If you buy this shoe and are on your feet a lot buy the best, softest insert you can find.

Wish They Had My Size, But Still Works For Me - My one disappointment with this shoe is that in my size, it only came in "wide." I never order wide, as my foot is thin, and "regular" always fits perfectly. I ordered anyway because I needed a pair of steel-toes and like CATs. They are just a little loose as wides, but I wear them every day and if Zappos ever gets them in my size and not wide, I may get them again. I've only had them for about two weeks now, but so far they're holding up great. I mark them as "true to width" because I figure they are what wides feel like, as again, I have no personal experience buying wides for myself.

These are a soft leather boot with lots of room in the steel toe. My main concern was to have a safety boot that is easy to walk in and these are it. They have a rounded heel and rocker sole for easy walking. Great for my many trips around the job site.

Sole wore out in 4 months - These are by far the most comfortable work boot I have ever had! But I can't afford to buy new work boots every 4 or 5 months. I bought the brown ones to switch off with the black ones I purchased 4 months ago and am glad that I noticed the bottoms worn out on the black ones before I wore the other (brown) ones to work! Think I might have to return these!! So sad too cause like I said they are by far the most comfy work shoes I have ever had. I am standing on ladders for at least 4-5 hours a day and standing the other 2-3 hours and my feet have never hurt once.

These boots look well made, time will tell. They definitely run larger than the size marked. The sole is pretty hard. I put in an insole and made a tremendous difference. They are easy to walk in and get on and off. If you plan to put in a support type insole , order your normal size, if not you better order at least half a size smaller

Love them, light weight great quality

I really like this boot. Had the brown years ago and still wear them occasionally when using the chain saw up at the cabin. Have only been able to get them in black the past couple times and I prefer the brown. It's my everyday boot wearing them about 12 hours a night. They are comfortable after one day and last a long time. They look good and feel good. I'm buying another now in case they're discontinued. I like my CAT steel toe boot.

Very comfortable to wear, second pair bought

Extremely comfortable, I experienced immediate relief in my poor old 60 year feet. Will definitely be buying another pair. Zappos is with out a doubt the best online store ever.

This is my 3rd pair of these boots in the past 3 years. First two brown, this one black. The only reason for buying new is the soles start to get beat up from the climbing in and out onto the metal grates of my tractor. Have them on for over 12 hours a night and they hold up great. The shoe strings will wear out long before the boot does. They break in easy, and fit right as advertised. This new pair will sit in my closet for a few months because the pair purchased back in February of 2014 still have many miles left on them. Offers good grip, no slip, just over the ankle fit, and they look good.
