Depends what you intend to do with it - I wear 13's in some brands, 14's in others. With these I ordered both and chose to keep the 14's. They seem too big at first when you put on the right size, but they'll be just right once you walk around. These shoes are very comfy to wear around the house, stretching/yoga/tai chi, when driving, going to the store, etc, but I do not recommend them as your primary daily shoe, because walking distances on concrete or other hard surfaces can be uncomfortable. All that is between you and the ground is a fraction of an inch of rubber. Truly, these are meant for tai chi, but are great for any martial arts or just as a comfortable indoor shoe. But if I know I'll be walking around a bit, I won’t wear them.

Zappos rocks! Shoes are awesome, but they run a little on the small side. Zappos was out of my size in this shoe when I first saw it. I gave them my email address and they sent me a notice informing the shoe had been restocked and currently had my size available. Combine that with free overnight shipping and that's what I call service. Thanks Zappos

Tigers - Great shoes! Good job Zappos! The Onitsuka Tiger is a very good looking and comfortable shoe which they don't sell in the US that much. Like Converse, they may feel a little weird at first, but once you wear it more it'll start to feel very comfortable. I plan to wear them casually, when I hit the gym, and at JKD.

Very Pleased w/ Purchase - First let me thank Zappos for their awesome tracking/shipping quickness. This was my first purchase thru this company and it was as easy and fast as it gets. As far as the shoe, it is great and looks just like the pictures. Not a lot of arch support if that is what u r after. But comfort, style, and looks it is very good. Would buy another pair for sure, thru Zappos.

Don't rush to judgment - I waited to review these until I had worn them for a few months and allowed them to break in a little. There is little to no arch support, so if you're in need of a shoe with good support, this wouldn't be a good choice (unless you're planning on putting in your own support insoles). When I first received the Tigers and put them on, they definitely felt narrower that I expected and a bit tighter than the typical shoes I would wear. However, the material the shoe is made of is very soft and flexible; so I decided to wear them around for a couple hours each day, to allow them to stretch out. After a few months of wearing them off-and-on in this manner, they have stretched out very nicely. These are super comfortable, and very light-weight. I typically wear them while I'm doing my weight/resistance workouts, or during a kick boxing/kenpo style workout. So if you do order a pair of the Tigers, definitely give them time to conform to your feet before deciding if they are right for you.

Love um - Although I normally wear a size 13... I had to buy these in a size 11.5. There's no way I'd fit in any other shoe that's an 11.5. Not even converse All Atars (who also make their cuts longer). Aside from the size issues I had... I like my shoes but this one, by far, is my favorite.

Perfect For The Job - These shoes are great for tai chi. They are really light, almost slipper like. The feeling of connection with the ground is wonderful. Because of the very thin soles, no arch support, and no heel, however, balance while doing tai chi is even more critical. (No more ankles made lazy by stiff shoes.) To me, this is a good thing as it enhances sensitivity. Heel pivots are easy. And the leather is soft as butter. I was fortunate to find this model -- and in size 14, no less! (Let's hope they keep that size in stock for my next purchase.) Customer service was great, with my shoes arriving the next day -- and telephone response was excellent, as well. Someone at the top knows what they're doing at Zappos, and that attitude appears to filter down to employees, and certainly, to customers. I can only hope the current business model remains a success.

Good Lookin/Feelin Shoe - This shoe is great. I didn't really know what to expect when I bought it, but upon receiving it I loved it. It’s so light and feels great. You can walk a good distance in them too; my feet have never hurt from them. It almost feels like wearing socks outside. Definitely worth the bucks.

Onitsuka Tiger Tai Chi - I am very pleased and happy with the order. I received the tennis shoes and they are really comfortable, very nice and are made of an excellent leather material. Thank you for asking for my opinion.

Very pleased... Good looks... good fit... very, very, very thin and light weight (but extremely comfortable), did I say look good? My only complaint is the fabric/leather in the toe region is a little too flexible, it doesn’t keep its form. I have had the shoe for two months, and have had no problems what so ever. It is not flimsy and is well made. Unique shoe. Good buy. And very thin. No one has ever seen this shoe before (unlike those Sambas). Good guy shoe.

Great Shoe, Stylish and Comfortable* I love this shoe. I bought the white/black as I needed a light colored shoe, and the simplistic design caught my eye. I have found these shoes to be VERY comfortable; however I seem to be the minority here. The thin sole feels great, like I am wearing nothing :). The white leather cleans up great as well. I have worn them 4/5 days for a month and they show no signs of dirt. Hot water and a wash cloth is all that is needed. Dye from blue jeans transfers easily as expected, but cleans off well. ;) <3

Onitsuka Tigers serve me well - Because I have a problem with tendonitis, I bought these shoes for a yoga class, thinking that tai chi, for which they were designed, and yoga would have fairly similar requirements. With the thin soles that cover the full length of the bottom of the shoe, I get a feel close to that of being barefoot, and that's what I wanted. In general, they're comfortable in a feel-the-earth sort of way.

In an Internet search, these were the only men's shoes I saw that were similar to these.

I debated over several different shoes before deciding on this one. I love them. I have received many compliments. They feel a little awkward at first due to the inclined slope in the sole but my food adjusted quickly and now they feel great! The thin sole and soft leather make it seem as if you are only wearing socks.

My second pair. I love these shoes! My husband actually bought me the first pair after watching the Kill Bill movies and I liked them so much, I bought this pair when they came out with the new colors. They are very comfy; like wearing slippers. I also wear them to kickboxing class and they are the best shoe I've had for this. Just wish they made a size 5; I have to get the 5.5 and wear thicker socks or put an insole in them.

Cute shoes - Comfy but might run a little small. I suggest ordering a half size larger than usual. They're very cute.

Comfortable and sleek - This shoe is thin and sexy. It forms to the foot for a perfect fit and is light yet durable. This is an ideal shoe for yoga, Tai Chi or a light workout.

Great Look! The thing I like most about my Onitsuka Tigers is the way they look. I've received so many compliments. They're very fashionable. Comfort wise they're ok too. The sole is thin so it almost feels like wearing a comfortable pair of socks. These are my favorite sneakers by far though because they look Great!

Best Tennis Shoe on Earth - Nearly everyone in the running, wrestling and martial arts world was in mourning 20 some odd years ago when the Tiger tennis shoe line was stopped. Now since someone at Asics finally had the good sense to bring back a true winner with the Tiger line of tennis shoes! I've had to make due with other brands during the 20 year absence but when they came back I was one of the first to try them on again wondering if my memory was really true to how great of shoe they really were. As soon as I slipped my foot in the first Tiger in over 20 years... it felt like a touch of heaven! If you need a tennis shoe, for whatever reason, you simply got to get some Tiger's. The kid at the shoe store told me that they were "Old" style and called "retro" shoes. Ha... little did he know. These are the shoes that Bruce Lee and other world class martial artists wore not to mention Olympic Track and Field winners! Nike and Michael Jordan.... eat your heart out because you'll never have a shoe to compare to Tigers. What more can I say?
I'd also recommend:
None. If it's a tennis shoe you want... it's gotta be Tiger!

Like a pair of slippers - First off, I don't know that anyone NEEDS their sneaks the next day, but I think its way cool that Zappos gets them there the next day! Anyway on to this shoe...if you are looking for something very stylish and light weight then this is for you...my first pair, and I love them, you don't even feel like you have something on.

I've never been this happy with a pair of shoes... These shoes are extremely comfortable. Not to mention they look pretty cool. It's a "thin" shoe, so I definitely wouldn't recommend going running or hiking in them, but perfect for a night out or simply chilling. By far these are the best shoes I have ever bought. Worth every cent!

Most comfy shoe ever - These are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned and I own a lot of different brands. They go great with jeans for a night out clubbing and also do great in the gym. I’m always getting compliments on the looks also.
