These are some good looking shoes in my opinion, but there is too much padding and they are a bit too snug for me. Probably not half a size too small, and they would probably loosen up with a few wears, but that will not happen because the shape is wrong for my feet.

I really love these shoes, but I have worn them once or twice a week for the last six months, and the side of my shoe near the sole is starting to wear through. I (like many people) do not necessarily walk with my weight evenly distributed on my feet; I tend to turn my foot and put more pressure on my inner soles. Since the soles of these shoes are so thin, I guess that means that I am actually walking on the leather of the side of the shoe sometimes (thus, the hole). Anyway, I know that I am not the only person who does this, so it might be useful for some of you to know. Other than that, I really love the look and feel of these shoes. I bought them in black and white, and they are incredibly versatile and classic-looking. I found them to be very comfortable once I broke them in a bit - at first my toes felt a little claustrophobic, since the profile of these shoes is very short. But after a week or so they were very comfortable and quickly became my favorite pair of casual shoes. In summary: These are very stylish and comfortable shoes, but they might not last very long.

Durability = 0. I live/work in the city, going out very little, yet after a few months the shoes is so dirty and lots of skin on the shoes were terribly scratched. This is not made for walking, or shopping. It is okay to wear it to watch a movie, eat at a restaurant, etc. The padding is very poor. However, when I first got it it was a nice looking pair of shoes.

The shoes are very comfortable but I was disappointed in the soles. For Tai Chi, the sole sticks to the floor and makes turning difficult.

These are very lightweight and fairly comfortable. Footing feels solid in tai chi. However, the sole is a bit sticky making the turns in the tai chi form difficult.

These are great shoes, comfortable and stylee. But they probably won\\\'t stand up to weather, or lots of use. If you are looking for a \\\'house shoe\\\' with little support but great comfort and style these are for you.

First off, let me say Zappos customer service is great! If I could rate that, I'd give them six stars. Also, I love the design of these shoes. I wanted minimalist shoes for everyday use: very light, thin soled, and flexible. These fit the bill. They are also very comfortable. The soles may be thin, but they have just enough cushion. To me, the shoes feel great. I think the design looks good, too. However, I am only giving these shoes 3 stars because the toes wrinkle. Between sizing issues and delivery errors. I ended up going through three pairs. And all wrinkled in the toe area (some worse than others). The left shoes wrinkle a little by the left toe. The right shoe has two large creases over the middle toe. I believe this to be a defect. Don't know if they all have the problem or just some "batches". I kept a pair hoping they'd get better with wear. The wrinkling gets worse. Unfortunately, I can just wear them as gym shoes now.

I love how they look - But yeah sorry there's a but... I doubt I could wear these outside. They are more like socks, and yeah I read the reviews before I got them, but I really doubt these shoes are going to be helping me out much outside in the NYC streets with cracks, uneven pavement. I foresee an ankle injury. I still love Zappos though.

Good in look, not in comfort! I am just so so with this shoe. I love the look, but it has zero arch support and I can actually feel the ground through the bottom of the shoe. I would not wear this shoe if I had lots of walking to do. In defense of the shoe, I did read the other reviews which basically said the same thing as me. Cute, but not very comfy!

Not what he expected - I ordered the Onitsuka Tiger for my husband, liked the look, seemed comfortable. I thought they'd work for outdoor Tai Chi, but he thought the sticky tread would make it difficult to do the smooth sliding moves of Tai Chi. He wanted waterproof, but will use indoor, traditional Tai Chi shoes with smooth soles instead.

Stylish but uncomfortable - I recently got the black/black Tai Chis as soon as they became available at Zappos. I knew they would be thin and flimsy from the reviews, but they're even lighter than I expected. No grip whatever and they make my feet hurt after walking for more than 10 minutes. The material on the top is so thin that my big toes started to poke up and warp the fabric. Definitely not an every day shoe. That said, they are stylish and sleek. They DO feel an entire shoe size too small, though! Order one size up.

Bummer - I was so excited to get these shoes, but when I tried them on I realized the sole was as think as paper. What a disappointment! I had to send them back b/c I had intended to use them to walk all over the city. No support=no good.

Although these look nice, I don't find them comfortable at all...unless you're walking on carpeting, maybe. I found them to be a bit suffocating, for lack of a better word, on my foot...and smaller than marked. The toe area is extremely tight. It feels like it's cutting off my circulation and I almost can't feel my feet.

I just got my pair in the mail...and extremely disappointing. It seems someone made these things with hot glue. The shoes don't seem symmetrical, and the leather is bubbling on the top of the left shoe. Even the tongues are uneven. Where these made by a toddler?

I don't do martial arts or sports that require a shoe like this. I bought the shoe as a regular everyday shoe and was very disappointed on how low quality they were. Definitely cheaply made but at the same price. The sole didn't even cover the whole bottom of my foot, some of my foot was sticking out on both sides. I've been wearing Asics exclusively since 2005 when I bought my first leather Asics Tigers, so I know the standard Asics has held themselves to and this is very much below it.

These shoes did not have a long life as regularly worn shoes particularly if you have an active lifestyle. The shoes fit as designed, narrow as shown with not much rubber between you and the ground. They are track style almost. Unfortunately they scuff relatively easily but they still clean up well. I would recommend having some white shoe polish. These shoes let me down, though, when the grippy (not actually very grippy if the ground is wet) came unglued from the bottom of the shoe. Basically the shoes talk now. I think the shoes are very stylish for going out but not rugged enough to be a day to day casual shoe if you have an active lifestyle.

EH - These shoes kind of sucked, I mean, I guess they're alright if you wear them once in a while but if you're going to wear them everyday like I did, don't plan on being comfortable. Also, the white paint on the shoe tends to crack and erode off the toe. Ugly.

What a shame...it is flat...that's all...the front (toe part) is like a triangle, and very narrow. Finally I walked in the rain, once only, and my shoes in the garbage, because it's shrank about 2 sizes. Amazing. The front fell apart also, probably because of the cheap glue. I have narrow feet, and I'm used to having my shoes for 15 or more years, except this one. Garbage after 3 weeks.

This shoe rips anytime your foot hits something. Not a scuff that you can clean, but a rip. Dont recommend.
