Bought these boots in Saddle for my adult daughter for Christmas. Mine were also made in Mexico. The insole in the right boot wasn't inserted properly. The insole doesn't extend to the toe and has a big ripple/bump in the instep because it wasn't extended and smoothed out. Didn't require someone putting them on to detect this. Someone knowingly moved these defective boots along the line into a box for sale. I tried to exchange them Christmas morning and the system didn't allow for an exchange in same color/size based on the reason for return even though website allowed me to create a new order/purchase. Phoned customer service first thing and was told the website was inaccurate, that they weren't available and would be restocked, but no idea when. If they aren't restocked by January 31, I can return for a refund less the cost of return for defective boots sent to me. Also was given the option of taking them to my local cobbler for repair - ridiculous. I also think the boots should be packaged with a hard/firm cardboard boot shaft versus the flimsy rolled card stock that they came with. I am hoping for a new pair as quickly as possible because it is a gift that she wants.

Gift for my daughter and they are perfect! Waited for these to go back in stock and they do not disappoint! Cute, comfortable and the banana color is gorgeous!

I bought these for my daughter who had a pair in tan size 7. The black boots were cut smaller, had a different heel. The shaft was so narrow over the arch that she could not get them on. The black pair were made in Mexico rather than the US, where the tan boots which fit perfectly were made. There was no way to tell how different they were from the website.

Got my true size because it says they run true to size and I wear an 8 in all shoes and they are IMPOSSIBLE to get on. Once they were on they were squeezing my feet even though they feel like the right size. I was thinking maybe they just have to be broken in and after wearing them for a little they started to feel a lot better but now I cant even get them back on because its impossible to slide your feet in.

I bought these for my girlfriend and she absolutely loves them. They fit beautifully out of the box and didn't require any breaking in. She has been complemented so many times, and she has warn them everyday since getting them. A great pair of boots.

The sizing tool recommended I get a size 7. 5 which is around my typical size (7-7. 5), I just tried them on and I had a hard time getting them on because the upper is tight & I have high arches. I'm hoping the leather will stretch with a little wear but they really do put pressure on the top of my foot, length thought they are fine, it's just room for arches that's the issue. The height of the shoe bed also restricts me from being able to wear my inserts so I feel like I'll end up with some back pain if they don't loosen up. Definitely think boot straps would've helped with getting them on over my arch, you can either move production to outside the US or remove the straps, doing both on $500 boots is honestly just a cheap move. I have pretty skinny cafes so I typically "swim" in my boots but that isn't really an issue with these boots, with that being said, definitely get the wide calf option if you're calves aren't super skinny. They also came with a light layer of dust, considering the price I feel like that shouldn't happen.

Beautiful dark brown boots! Gorgeous out of the box. I am a steady size 7 in most brands, and the size 7 fits me perfectly. I have narrow feet, and the boot is perfect in both length and width. If your feet are not as narrow maybe go up half a size to get the comfort. I have been saving up for this boot and I am glad I did. Now I will save up for the banana yellow, also. Can't wait to break it in and wear it everywhere I go.

I am very disappointed One is a different size than the other Need to return. One is loose and one is very tight

absolute WORST customer service ever. Ordered the boots and they email me DAYS later to tell me they cancelled the order because they weren't in stock. Had opportunity to purchase them from another retailer but didn't because I figured I would order directly from them. Now everywhere is out of stock.

Slightly too wide at the calf, otherwise, incredible quality of leather and color. Love the style of this iconic campus 14L.

Bought 2 sizes, my normal 8. 5 and then an 8. Glad I ordered 2 and had 2 to compare- they were totally different even though they were ordered days apart and same color. One pair was clearly used and had creased around the ankles and had scratches, and the other (the too big size bc they run large) was brand new. I'm trying to swap the pair, just want the size 8s but new not used and it's IMPOSSIBLE. Charging me for each return, not honoring the discount code I used which was offered as a welcome to the website. This customer service has been terrible, and now of course the shoes are sold out again in the size I need. I've purchased Frye boots but this is my first time dealing directly with the website, this has been terrible. Can someone from customer service reach out and help me!!??

I bought these for my girlfriend, as she has wanted them for a very long time. She loves them however she did point out the brands stamped in the sides are uneven and even show the edge of what looks like a square stamp. As I inspected them I noticed the quality was not the standard Id expect from $500 dollar boots. I own plenty of leather cowboy and work boots and I would compare these to the quality of my $120 Justin cowboy boots. Not near the quality of my $250 thorogood work boots. Upon some research it appears the boots have changed quality. These boots are made in Mexico of thinner leather and do not have pull straps inside

Fabulous boots

The right boot, top of foot has a blemish, and the insole is not smoothly adhered. It's wrinkled so even if I could tolerate the blemish, I would not be able to wear the boot.

My boots arrived quicker than expected. They were comfortable right out of the box!

I've always known FRYE to be THE standard of quality. . . was super bummed about the quality of the Campus boots that arrived + learned they don't have the pull tabs and are NOT made in America any longer (it shows). I ordered size 7 initially and they were too big, exchanged for size 6. 5, better fit size wise but unfortunately there was a defect with the sole inside the boot, it was wrinkled and misplaced so the 2 shoes actually fit differently. Wild that that would even be an issue at this price point. Overall disappointed and opted to return entirely.

Just received the pink campus boots. Unfortunately, they hurt the top of my foot, perhaps because they are very stiff. Also, the pink is very bubblegum and mine were also made in Mexico without any pull tabs. They were true to size. Sadly returned

Distorted left boot. Super bummed. Ordered saddle. I was happy they were made in USA and they did have the pull tabs inside as well. Not sure how a deformed boot could get past quality control. So disappointed.

These are different, and super low quality compared to my last pair of Frye campus boots. These do not have the pull-tab inside and are much thinner leather. The heel looks like it may be composite. New ones in saddle & older ones in banana below for reference. Not worth 500.

My wife loves these boots. Folks, do yourself a favor and get your wife or best lady some.

When I say these boots are a difference maker, Im saying it with my whole chest. They instantly upgrade any outfit. Since Ive gotten them they have not left my body, I dont even care if they dont match the whatever Im wearing. Theyre very comfortable, look like an 80s classic, and my god the build quality on these deserves a kiss on the lips. If it werent the Christmas season Id be buying that pink colorway right now! The only thing worth noting is that I had to size down a half size cause I normally wear an 8 and they were a bit too big. Also HUGE shout out to Anna in customer service for providing me a with a truly unmatched experience. She really was so incredibly helpful with my order dilemma and made sure to stay in touch with me and keep me updated. If she isnt already getting one already give that girl a Christmas bonus for her dedication to helping out!!
