My first Frye pair. I do love the look. I was worried the black would be too dark but they are not. I am a size 10 - true size 10 and these fit just right. A little bit of room to move, which I like. I have over a dozen pair of boots and would always recommend buying boots with a little bit of extra room (for wearing thick socks in winter or tucking in jeans, etc.). Here in TX it can get warm all year and feet tend to swell a bit, so having any shoes with some extra room is good. I have long calves, not thick, and these are a little tight at the top but assume they will stretch a bit once I start wearing them on a regular basis. They look really good over black tights and under boot cut jeans. Overall, very pleased. Have over a dozen pair of boots and these are very comfortable.

Fantastic! I'm a lover of Frye boots and have always wanted a pair of the campus boots. My mom wore these when I was growing up, and I'm 42. That's a testament to how these are timeless. Definitely go a half size down. I normally wear an 8, but always take a 7.5 in Frye. I have several pairs: harness, veronica slouch, carson ect. Start off going down a half size and send them back if they are too small. Listen to the reviews, so you won't kick yourself when they arrive and they don't fit. Yes, the heel is loose but nothing uncomfortable. All these boots fit me with a loose heal. I've read other reviews that they are hard to get on, this is not so for me. They were very easy to on and off. Comfortable off the bat, no break in time needed. I bought the dark brown and my mom always had the golden color! Both are great! Buy them and tuck them in skinny jeans, you'll be a big hit!

These are the best boots ever! They are extremely comfortable and you can wear them with anything. I love them and get compliments all of the time!

Zappos was able to have these hard to find boots delivered to my house in time for my wife's birthday. They are perfect - the boots and Zappos.

I bought these boots in dark brown which look just like the picture. They took one day to break in and I take a 7 1/2 and just ordered that size despite the advice in reviews to order a size down. They fit perfectly. I know a smaller size would not have fit. I wear them with cut-off shorts and tunics which look laid back and sexy at the same time. I love these boots! Best investment I've made since they are so well made and will last a long time. The color is just what I expected and have been looking for. Can't wait to try them with dresses and jeans. I Feel kind of guilty shoving all the other boots to the back of the closet.

I love my campus boots. They're a understated, cool, a little bit rugged, totally Americana and perfect. I have worn them almost every day since I got them, and I wear them everywhere. I think, is in the true spirit of the Campus boot. They're so comfortable and I'm never worried about ruining them, which is great.

I adore these boots. They are so very comfortable and look great with anything. Great height, great fit, again, so comfortable. Run a little on the big side. I wear an 8-8.5, depending. The 8 fits fine, maybe even a tad on the loose side, but I would not drop to a 7.5. You can not go wrong with these boots.

I'm loving these boots! Frye boots run big, so go down a size. I'm an 8.5 but wear an 8 in Frye, and that's consistent. Compliments flow on these boots EVERY time I wear them; from color to style. They're super comfy, cute, timeless and versatile. I wear 'em with skinny jeans, skirts & dresses.

I've been wanting a pair of Frye boots for a while now, and finally decided to break down and spend the money on them. They are well worth the price, making other $200-300 boots look cheaply made in comparison. The Blazer Brown leather is gorgeous. I ordered a 1/2 size smaller then what I usually wear, as recommended in the reviews here, and they fit perfectly. They aren't super comfortable- but I've only worn them a few times. I think they will be fine once they are broken in.

I love love love my Frye boots. They run a little big so I got a full size smaller than what I usually wear. But they look great with jeans, skirts and even casual dresses. Love Love Love my frye boots

Love, love, LOVE these boots!! The saddle leather is gorgeous and goes with everything. I have narrow feet but very high arches and often have trouble with pull-on style boots so I got my normal size (9) and it is absolutely perfect! The boots are very comfortable and I've already gotten a ton of compliments. They look awesome with jeans and leggings - and I can't wait to try them with dresses as well! Also, Zappos' service was beyond amazing. I ordered these boots around 8pm and received them by the next day around noon! I would definitely recommend these beautiful boots- well worth the money.

Love the boots, but the best part of the transaction was the service. I ordered a size too large (they run a bit large, by the way - I usually wear an 8.5, but had to go down to an 8) and had to exchange them. I’ve never had better customer service in my life and never was an exchange so easy. I will definitely shop here again. Overall, five star experience. And the boots are beautiful! A little stiff, but that will change as I wear them.

I finally decided to spend the money and get the boots I’d been coveting for a few years. I LOVE these boots. They look fantastic, and they feel great. I decided to spend the extra cash and consider this purchase an investment. They look as good with jeans as they do with casual skirts and pants for work. FYI- I did end up getting a half size smaller than my regular size, which is a perfect fit for me. DO IT!!! You won’t regret it!

I Love, Love, Love these boots! They are very comfortable & look great! They do run about a 1/2 size large, I usually wear 8 1/2 in shoes & boots. I ordered the size 8 & they did feel a tiny bit narrow at first, but they do stretch slightly so after wearing them for a few days, they fit perfectly. The workmanship & leather quality is beautiful. I got the Banana color & they are gorgeous! What else can I say, I Love Them!

Well, years ago I bought the Frye Harness boot in distressed leather (there is a breaking in period) and wore them so much that I had to have them resoled. After those, I ended up buying other Fryes - the short Engineer boot in brown leather, and the Campus boot in brown. It took a while to break in the Campus boot because the leather is very sturdy, but they look really good with everything. I bought the Campus boot this year in the higher length in black, and I really like them a lot. The only complaint I have is they are a little heavy and by the end of the day I’m ready to take them off, especially if you walk around a lot. I also bought the Melissa button boot which is very light weight and no breaking-in time at all, the most comfortable of all. I like a lot of different looks, but if I buy another boot, it would most likely be the Melissa in brown or black (which were sold out in my size) so I bought in cordovan - which is a beautiful rich neutral color as well.

I’m usually a pretty solid 10 in shoes, but after reading all of the reviews to downsize, I chose a 9 1/2 and they fit perfectly. I got these boots in dark brown and the color is amazing. They go with everything and are getting better with each wear. The Frye company has been around for a long time and some of the newer styles seem to blend in with every other boot that is out there right now, but this boot is completely authentically Frye. It definitely has a retro feel, it’s also a little western and a little rugged, but still very feminine. I get compliments every time I wear them and I know that they will last forever. Highly, highly recommended and I love Zappos.

After much contemplation, I splurged on these fantastic boots. They are still a little stiff, but I can't wait until they break in! They run slightly small (I bought an 8 and I normally wear an 8.5). I have worn them with a dress and skinny jeans and get compliments every time.

I love these boots! I bought them in the saddle color and wear them with absolutely everything. They look great with jeans (either over or under) and with skirts, too. They were stiff, but not uncomfortable the first time I wore them. After a few walks they are perfect. They are totally worth the expense!

My BF bought me these boots as a gift. They are extremely comfortable and I wear them at least 3x a week. I have a high arch and this boot did not bother me. I am a Nine West size 8 or 8.5, a Steve Madden 8.5 and a Jimmy Choo 39. These boots I went up a half size to a 9 and I am glad I did. I wouldn\'t say it was made smaller, just go with your normal size and go up a half step. You will want to wear boot socks or wellie socks with this boot and the ankle (no cankles here, ladies) is snug with an average sock on - but has been stretching out over time. The boot is more caramel-colored then chocolate-colored so if you want a darker boot you may want to look at some of their other styles. This boot is plain, almost like a non-embroidered cowboy boot - but I like it for everyday wear to tuck my jeans into!

I ordered these in a 7 following the reviews to go a half size smaller. I wore them around the house and they were very uncomfortable in the toe area. I decided to try my normal shoe size 8. The fit is much better, but I needed a thin insole to help with heel slipping. I love these boots and am happy with my purchase. As always, Zappos rocks.

Best boots ever! I have had my Frye boots for a couple of years now and couldn't be happier. I know I'll have them for years to come. The quality is superb, the style is timeless, and they are very comfortable. I have been a 7.5 most of my life, but after children I seem to be an 8 in lots of shoes. I wavered on what to order, but I ended up with the 7.5 and they are perfect. I don't wear thick socks, just thin boot socks and they are perfect this way. Great with skirts, jeans, bootcut and skinny tucked in. I have the dark brown, but can't keep my eye off the blazer brown and the burnt red. Someday I'll own all three!
