The shoes were exactly as ordered and fit perfectly, however, the packaging was completely destroyed upon receipt. They were shipped in a plastic bag and the shoebox inside was destroyed. The handling of the shoes by mail had them scuffed up on receipt. Very disappointing when it was a birthday gift.

They are using thinner leather. I've been wearing TopSiders since the 70's and these are the thinnest I've ever seen. I'll be interested to see how long these last.

Put the shoe marked "L" on your left foot. As well, put the shoe marked "R" on your right foot. It works better this way, and holds down any related embarrassment issues. Plus if you get it wrong you will, literally, walk in tight circles until you realize the issue. That said, these are nice shoes.

Great shoe, but definitely wear with liners. The interior of the shoe will tear your feet up without liners, giving you blisters and a bunch of other horrible things. Wear with liners, everything is perfect.

The shoes are great but I ordered an extra wide and not only were they wide in the front of the shoe they wear very wide in the back of the shoe. But that might fit someone else just right.

I like this shoe. As with all other Sperry items, quality is top notch. No complaints there at all. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the width. I have a short, very wide foot. Even with a 4E this one is still a bit tight. This will eventually cause an 'over-run' of the sole on the forward, outside section of the side wall. The true 4X wide shoes are getting harder and harder to find.

I've had a pair of the Top Siders for probably 20 years and they are great shoes and I still wear them. I recently bought 2 more pair to use as "business casual" shoes and am disappointed in the shoe laces on the new shoes. My older pair has actual cotton laces that stay tied where as the new shoes strips of leather as laces that constantly seem to untie. I want to replace the laces on the new shoes but am not sure how I'd get the lace thru the main part of the shoe. I'll figure a way.

I've owned countless pairs of this boat shoe over the years and been pleased with them. The one knock I have with this latest pair is how quickly the insole came loose. In the past it took a year or more for them to become unglued and need repair, but it happened within the first month with this latest pair. Perhaps they changed the glue they use. I used some super glue and stuck them back in, and they've stayed put ever since. Overall, it's hard to beat Topsiders for a classic looking and comfortable boat shoe.
