Ich habe die Schuhe vor 1 1/2 Jahren gekauft und bei allen greren und kleinern Wanderungen sowie bei einfachen Bergtouren getragen. Ein sehr angenehmer Schuh der am Fu nicht zu sphren war. Ich mchte gern 5 Sterne verteilen wenn da nicht das Schliesystem wre. Fest eingearbeitet und unauswechselbar ist dieses Schnrband nun bei mir verschlissen. Der Schuh noch top in Ordnung. Liebe Hersteller, was kann man da noch machen? Ich mchte den Schuh nicht einfach wegwerfen.

I didn't see this comment anywhere so I'm not sure if I'm the only one who feels this way. But, I've been buying these since 2005 and they recently changed the tongue where the Speed-lace lock goes and made it ridiculously fat. I don't know about anyone else, but I find this wicked annoying. Any chance you're going back to the thin and tight neoprene tongue pouch? (Pictured below)

I own and have owned several pair. Comfort is great, good arch support and roomy toebox. The uppers are durable and well made. The sole provides good traction and wears evenly (understanding a lot of that is based on an individuals mechanics) I would 5-star if I didn't currently have four pairs of perfectly good shoes, two having worn soles. The sole wears a bit too quickly.

Je cours Salomon depuis plusieurs annes, la a pro3d est dans la continuit ct confort et tenue du pied dans des terrains un peu dlicats. Le moins, fragilit du revtement dessus de la chaussure, un coup de bton de marche nordique malheureux, et apparat une dchirure rapidement. Le tissage est peu serr, s'il permet au pied de respirer, la poussire s'incruste trs vite et je me retrouve rapidement avec des pieds que mes enfants qualifient de "cochon"...

I love this shoe, however, my calf's kept hurting after each run. I wasn't sure what was causing it; after an analysis of my recent runs I concluded, the shoes were the issue and I hadn't properly broken them in.

This is my third pair of XA Pro 3D. They are durable and comfortable. I love thr lace system as with traditional laces I tended to get pressure points cussing discomfort.

Overall I really liked this shoe. The fit was great, I really liked the asymmetric lacing and wish it was on more of the Salomon shoes. It was comfortable for longer hikes, 15+ miles and was good on rugged surfaces found in Southern Utah's National Parks. On the downside if the soles get a bit wet, the traction goes from being above average to substandard compared to other shoes I have owned. Second, the treads seemed to wear down faster than I would have expected which further exasperated issues traction if the soles get wet or in loose soil on hills.

I have been an XA PRO 3D loyalist for almost 20 years now. This shoe can do it all for the adventurist. Climb mountains, cross streams, run muddy trails, and has civilized manners for touring the town, or strolling on hiking trails. It is a very sturdy and breathable low ankle shoe that can tackle any terrain. It's best features is the plate built into the sole of the shoe, the sturdy heel pocket, and it being waterproof for about an inch from the sole. About 2 years ago, the shoe hit its pinnacle in quality, and has since gone downhill. For example, the top quality tongue with its sock liner is now gone. It also feels softer, tighter, and less sturdy than before. I just hope the downhill trend does not continue in the name of cutting costs.

These are great they run about 1/2 size too small. They are really comfortable and durable and stand up to the rocks in Afghan really well.

Le pare-pierre est important, sans doute trop : il emmagazine la transpiration (oui, je transpire beaucoup) et on a le pied qui se retrouve vraiment dans l'eau (avec le bruit de splash ? chaque foul?e) et ? la fin la peau du pied est comme si on avait pass? des heures dans le bain !

I am breaking in a pair of Quest 4D 3 GTX size 11.5 for a trek in Oct. I am a size 11 normally, but want room for wool socks. The Quest 4D are very comfy, but they are too hot to wear in summer weather. So, I bought the XA PRO 3D for my summer conditioning in 11.5. I slipped them on, feeling comfortable so far, but wow! When I stood up my toes ended up being too close to the front of the shoe, my right toe was actually lightly touching the toe of the shoe. I played around with positioning the OrthoLite footbeds; hoping there was a weird miracle in these adjustments.... Nope, unwearable. Too big a risk of a lot of pain. I am returning these for a size 12. So, in my experience these run very small, or I got an 11 marked as an 11,5? I would recommend these, but hate to think I need to tell someone they need to order as much as one size up...
