A great shoe, but wear them in water -
This is a great looking shoe, and very comfortable. The laces are way too long and often get in the way. The sides are completely transparent so make sure your socks are clean as everyone can see them, which means any water you happen to run through can come in as well!

Salomon GCS Pro big hit.
Everything about the shoe it great! Comfort is great! I have Plantar Fasciitis and that is why I got them. I saw the shoe in Backpacker and wanted to test the heel. The look is fantastic as well as the lacing! Love it!

Great shoe, maybe too great -
This shoe fits great. This is the fourth pair I have bought. I bought it for my 16 year old son. It is a one of a kind and someone stole them out of his locker at school. I will make him buy the next pair.

Salomon GCS Pro -
It's early yet, but so far the shoe is a great fit. The quick lacing is awesome and keeps your foot nicely in place. Due to the snowy conditions in PA this year I have only gotten out once on a fairly easy, but muddy, cross country course @ Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. I ran ~6 miles the first time out in the shoe and all went well. Great traction in the mud. My feet stayed completely dry.
I have also hiked in the snow with these shoes and my feet do indeed stay 100% dry.
The shoe is a nice-looking shoe, very sturdy and not too heavy. I really can't wait to the snow is gone so I can put this shoe to the real trail test. I'm currently training for my 1st 1/2 marathon so almost all of my weekly miles are on the road. I am using the 1/2 marathon to get my body prepared for what I really want to do and that's where the Salomon GCS Pro's come in to play (Trail Running).
I do indeed recommend the shoe, but the real test will be in a month or two.

Very cool -
Very good air movement, keeping the feet cool. Great laces too. No issues at all.

Love 'em!
My first pair of Salomon running shoes-- I'm impressed. Love the lace system, incredibly easy to clean. Wore them in Africa through deserts, rocky terrain, wet conditions-- I was pleased in each situation.
I'm over 6'5" & 250 lbs, so I can say firsthand that these can handle the strain of being worn by "Clydesdale" division runners.
The only area I can think for improvement is the cushion under the ball of the foot-- the one spot that is a bit lacking when compared to New Balance pairs I wore in the past.

Soles -
The sole of the shoe keeps pulling away from the bottom of the shoe. I love the shoe, looks, and comfort. I glue them it seems once ever two weeks. No complaints with Zappos you are the best in customer care and follow-up.

I like the oslo boots. For the same feel and Nike shox.

Love the look !
Great Shoes, I've got large feet and these at times seem a bit to narrow, but overall I'm very happy with them. I've bought 2 pair now. The lace system is very cool as well with the drawstring instead of laces.

Ultra Runner Review -
The shoes are excellent for dust, rolling trails - but not the best for sticking to moist rocks, digging through cake-mud and absorbing significant mid-sole hard impacts. Honest review, but I still highly recommend these for trail running as the best I've used including Montrail, Merrell and a few others. Warning: Do not try to run across Spain in these with orthodic insoles - very painful; stick with the soles provided and enjoying running a few hundred miles.

I've found that these shoes have a couple of hot spots at the binding. Once I start running, the shoes feel fine, but I probably will go with the XA Comp 2 in the future which are cheaper and feel very comfortable.

I like Salomon's GCS Pro -
I like these shoes. I run around all the time at work and they provide alot of support.
I think it doesn't need so much black in the color scheme though.

I can't believe the hype -
I paid a good bit of money for these shoes based on the reviews. I am a camp director. I am outside about 14 to 16 hours a day. We have many acres and have steams, trails and lakes. I have done everything except swim in them. I say this to let you know I have given them all the chances in the world for them to prove themselves. My first cravat is that the mid soles are very thin. We have gravel/root paths and such at our camp and you really can feel even little stones at the balls of your feet. Overall they are not a great outdoor shoe. Maybe if you just run on pavement or go to the mall in them they would be alright. This is just a bit of a warning that if you’re looking for a great outdoor shoe try something else.

Has everything, but durability -
Great comfort, great look, but the seams on the outside near the toe busted a little after one month of use. I've tried many other Salomon styles; this had by far the shortest lifespan.

Good But Not As Great As They Say -
I purchased these sneakers after reading many reviews. However, I was unhappy with the end result. You do need to remember that every person's feet are different and I should have kept that in mind. Things I do not like: 1) Lack of arch support, 2) Lack of front foot comfort, 3) The red on the heel of the shoe really looks pink, and 4) Possible issue with the heel support. Since purchasing these sneakers, I have had heel pain and I cannot determine the cause. However, may be the sneaker. Things I did like: 1) The sock-like construction, 2) The quick and convenient attached shoe laces, 3) Easy to clean, and 4) Side open-air construction. Overall, it is a good sneaker but I have had better, especially for $100. It just might be that I have worn Asics and Nikes all my running career, which spans 23 years, but even after breaking these sneakers in, something still is not right.

Defective Show -
I believe I must've received a bad pair of shoes since these were probably the most uncomfortable pair of shoes I have ever worn. The shoe was just way too hard, even for it being new and the metal lacing inlets were cutting into my skin. Overall the shoe looks nice just very uncomfortable which is sad considering all the other positive reviews for this shoe.
