Anonymous - These are the shoes I wear when I do chores. They are super supportive. I have had them over a year. I can wear them to work and don't find them hot and I live in the desert. I did wear out the elastic band at the buckle and am having it repaired. Ready to wear these out!

These are great! I've owned a pair of Keen Newports for about three years, wearing them for both work and play. I love the fact that you can wash them. And, I need good arch support. I wanted a new pair of Keen's, something different, but our local shoe stores only carried Newports and a few other styles. Zappos carried all the styles, and with the free shipping and return, how could I go wrong. I started with a pair of Mystics, but they hurt a part of my foot. I then tried these Montereys, and they fit like a dream. I got them in the Madder Brown, and have received several compliments. I usually wear a 7 1/2, and got these in a 7 1/2. They fit just fine. With the price of gas, and the limited styles in the brick and mortar stores, I think I'll be doing my shoe shopping at Zappos from now on.

Extremely comfy - I loved these and they fit perfectly. I normally wear a 7.5 and that's what I ordered. My feet are often too wide for reg. and too narrow for wide widths, but these were perfect. The insoles fit me much better than other Keens (Newport, Venice). I even think their cute! But I returned them b/c what I really need right now is a sandal and these are more like shoes with holes in them. I think these would get hot in the summer, and to wear them at other times I'd need a bigger size so I could wear them with socks. Maybe I'll get them another time.

Not so keen on these - These are going back, I'm sad to say. They were far less comfy than my other Keens (I LOVE my Calistoga’s), and they squeaked something awful at the heel. The straps on top were a bit snug on my foot. Perhaps if I wore them a while they'd loosen up, but overall I wasn't thrilled with these. A bigger size would not have worked for me, but others have recommended going up a 1/2 size. I'm going to exchange these for a pair of Sausalito clogs, which were also high on my list. Or perhaps another pair of Calistoga’s...

Great Shoe/Sandal - Again it's the same old thing. Great shoe! I have a wide foot and almost passed this over because it's only available in standard width. Glad I read the reviews. This shows how important they are to read. I drive a school bus and we have to have closed toe and heel and the shoe must be sturdy. When the weather gets warm it is almost impossible to find a shoe that fits the bill. This is it! Fits like a glove, cool and comfortable and is bus legal, not to mention great looking too. Ordered a 1/2 size larger just as suggested by others and was perfect. Thanks everyone!

My favorite shoes - Fantastic comfort, great look. I have wide feet and tapered toes, and my regular size (9) was perfect. My elderly mother has a crooked toe (bends up) and can't wear regular shoes, but these felt comfortable on her. Thanks Keen! Thanks Zappos!

Comfort right out of the box! No breaking in time with these puppies! I put them on right out of the box and haven't taken them off since, 'cept for bedtime. As with my two other pairs of Keen (Venice), I bought these a size up. Normally I wear an 8 but wear a 9 in all my Keens. If you want a comfortable walking shoe, and don't want to be afraid to slosh through a little water, go with Keens.

Keen Monterey - I normally wear 9 in clogs, 9.5 in most running shoes, and sometimes even as low as 8.5 in sandals. In the Monterey I need a 10. I think the rubber bumper in front requires a little more space than if it was a soft front. It is a very comfortable shoe that I know I will like when I get a larger size. I don’t think Keen is making as generous of a toe box as they used to, for example, the Providence. Be sure to allow the extra size especially if your toes don’t taper a lot.

Simple Squeaky Shoe Fix: I had worn my Monterey’s for about a month when the left shoe developed the most annoying squeak. I almost stopped wearing them, which was such a bummer, as they are just about the most comfortable shoes in my closet. Then, I did a little online research and tried one of the suggested remedies. It's so simple. Take out the removable insole, and sprinkle talcum, baby, foot, or Gold Bond powder (whatever you have) over the inside. Put the insole back in, and voila, no more squeak! I can wear my shoes again!

Out of the box, onto my feet - I absolutely LOVE these shoes (and I thought I was a Dansko only wearer until death!)...a great cross-over shoe from summer to fall...I wear it with socks or without, with shorts or with capris and pants...in fact, I only take them off for bed!

Keen Monterey Shoes - Shoes felt okay until I developed blisters on both my feet at the heel and under my ankle bone. I would not buy these shoes again.

Monterey - Love my new Keen Monterey's! I took the advice of other reviewers and got a half size up. Perfect fit! Also, Zappos got these to me super quick! Great service and always a great selection of shoes, Thanks Zappos!

They are pretty comfortable right out of the box, solid feel like almost all Keen shoes. I'm waiting for the heels to break in a little, and then they'll feel perfect.

Great sandals - The first pair...after one full day of using...developed a squeak in only one sandal. Much to my delight (and surprise) Zappos exchanged them even though I truthfully explained that I had worn them for a full day and did not expect an exchange, just info on how to get rid of the squeak. These are the greatest sandals...and I can't say enough good things about them. I have worn the second pair about eight times now and they are wonderful. I am leaving for China/Tibet in two weeks and wanted these sandals for the trip. So I am one "happy camper". Thank you Zappos!!!

Great travel shoes - I bought these shoes for travel. I am traveling to Europe next month and wanted a shoe to travel in and also do lots of hiking/walking in. The minute I put them on, I knew I had bought the right pair. They are so comfortable and let your feet breath.

Another Keen Winner! I am an elementary school music teacher and am on my feet moving around all day long. I need shoes that are comfortable, supportive, and good looking with pants. My new Monterey’s join my Jamestown’s and Astoria’s in my arsenal of effective teaching shoes! I never had a red pair of shoes before, but now I'm crazy about the Madder Brown color, which is a subtle red. They go with all my pants: navy; black; olive; khaki; and denim. Please Keen; don't ever stop making this style!

...Perfect! Keen is the most comfortable and most stable shoe I have worn. I wear between a 9.5 and 10 and am able to wear 9.5 in this style. As long as I keep the strap tight across my instep to prevent my foot from sliding forward, my toes do not rub at the end in the toe box. I removed the insole to accommodate my orthotics and the fit is PERFECT.

Just Perfect - Bought for my sister who wears a Dansko 37. She had been lamenting the demise of her Teva leather fisherman sandals. She absolutely adored these from the moment she put them on.

Keen Monterey - I wore my Keen Monterey’s right out of the box and spent a week hiking the trails on the Front Range just west of Boulder, CO. They were remarkably comfortable, provided great traction on the rocky and steep trails, and the toe-guard was quite functional in preventing injury. A little chafing on the inside arches was relieved by putting on light socks. Now, I wear my Keens as often as I can around town. I am extremely happy with this pair and am seriously thinking of getting another as it seems this model/style is being discontinued.

Keen Monterey - Again, Keen has hit a home run! Great shoe, great fit. I have found Keen shoes to be a little schizo in their sizing. Some of the shoes I wear a half size larger than normal and some of the shoes are right on size. But overall, these are the best shoes I have ever bought or worn.

My favorite shoes!!! I have a pair of the Monterey style already and wear them to work often. Was afraid the style would be discontinued so bought a second pair to have in my closet - in reserve. They wear well and are really comfortable. I have five pairs of Keen's - and am always recommending them to colleagues.

Kickin Around Kabul - Great conformable shoes…good toe box and fits true.

Keens rule - Order up a size in Keens and you'll be a happy camper. Love, love, love this shoe. Also the insole is removable, which is great if you have to put an orthotic in.
