Jack Purcells - I can not explain how rad Zappos is...they shipped the shoes so fast, literally in a few days...purcells are so hard to find, and Zappos had them...they fit perfectly, they're unbelieveable comfortable, and they look good with all kinds of clothing...oh, and since I'm in a band, i've played several shows (we play metal/hardcore, so i can assure you these shoes are tough. I've never slipped or missed a beat in these shoes...they're great all around shoes...I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Zappos, and I plan on getting another pair of Purcells really soon, from them...

Satisfied again!! This is my second pair of Jack Purcell shoes and they are as comfortable as the first.

My kids love these shoes, and they are hard to find. They were worn by the high school kids were we lived before, and now my kids seem to be starting a trend with them here at their new school. I think that you should keep them in stock.

My daughter loves her Jack Purcell shoes as she is making them the new rage among her friends. She loves the fact that they were the old rage when I was about 9 years old in the 70's. They do not rub slightly on her heel as they did mine. She has no complaints about the support they offer (which was a big complaint my athletic brothers had in the 70's) but she doesn't use them as court shoes like we did. Classic Practicality - So comfortable, so relaxing....so fun! The originator of the best....I'll buy more in other colors, and you can't beat it with the price. Once again, Zappos provided free expedited shipping (ordered Friday night, received Monday), and even $5 CREDIT because the shoebox was slightly scuffed!!!! (The shoes were fine!) How's that for professionalism?!?!?!? No more shoes from the retail stores for me---only Zappos!

nt - These schools are so cool. They fit like a glove and there so comfy. I have a pair in white and black.

Retro Tennis Shoes - Comfort, cool and "no sweat" as you find in the leather athletic shoes of today. These shoes really felt very comfortable and are light to wear as well.

Converse Jack Purcell® CP - Saw these in GQ Magazine and really liked the style. They feel great and you can wear them without socks. Very comfortable and cushioned.

1st time charm - The shoes are sweet, and the shipping was even better. Paid for 3 day shipping, and got them next day air. A pleasant experience all-around. Classic shoes these Jack P's.

GREAT CASUAL SHOE - If you are tired of the same old atheletic shoes that look like a Sherman Tank, these will be a welcome releif for tired feet.

Love the Purcell - I have always tried to find the black Purcell Converse sneaker in stores and usually come up empty. I'm thrilled I could find it at Zappos. It's a hip shoe that's comfortable for walking, which is just what I wanted.

Jack Purcell's - These shoes are great. They are comfortable, casual and go with just about anything. And Zappos made the whole ordering process just as great. The shoes came fast and were packaged nice and neatly. The overall quality of my experience will definitely bring me back for more.

7th grade all over again - Well, they've been updated in little ways since then, but they're still the classic shoe that you remember. I even find myself rubbing dirt from the sole of one onto the upper of the other too get rid of the too-new look, just like in the old days.

Great Decision - I love these sneakers!!! They feel great and you can wear them without socks and they still feel and look wonderful! The only thing to remember when ordering these sneakers is order a 1/2 size smaller that what you usually wear. They run a little bit. Wonderful shoe!!

Now that Nike owns Converse the insoles are actually supportive. I've always loved this style so I'm happy with the change.

Clearing this up! There has been a lot of talk about whether these JPs are correct! Yes, if you want the traditional JPs, order these, the ones with white laces. The soles are blue. The grommets are a little in the rubber edging but it does actually ventilate your feet. The logo on the back in plain, no black square around it. These is no logo on the tongue. The insole is plain, no comfort wedge. See photos. Remember, these are the ones with white laces.

Very cushy and just a cute white canvas sneaker. I didn't think it felt cheap or inferior to a pair of black Jack Purcells I had a few years ago. I did need to return these because they were too snug on my wide-ish foot.

I really like Jack Purcells because they fit me better than Chuck Taylors which tend to be a bit narrower for me. That said, I have 2 other pairs of Jacks which fit great. For some reason, this purchase felt a bit narrower than my other pairs. I like them and will wear them, but they won't give me all day comfort as the others. Maybe I just got a weird pair.

Great fit but more importantly great service.

Purchased these for my husband, half-size larger than the pair he's replacing that he's had for years. Based on this I would size up if you're unsure. He's also complained about the comfort, but then it's meant to be a casual shoe so it is not meant for athletic support . Other.Love the classic look, even with newer competition from Vans, Sperry, etc.
