These shoes were the perfect replacement to my decrepit old white gym shoes and a good update to my wardrobe as well. Now I have a supported arch and don't look like an 80-year-old woman.

Great casual shoes - I ordered both black and navy and have tried on white before. The white is too pristine for me and don't go well with a pair of white pants I have. I felt the black was too "formal" and I already have Adidas Sambas that are versatile as black sneakers. Why not go for black Chuck Taylors instead? So the blue was great. Much more casual looking than the black and still provide some color to contrast white pants (or white jeans). I love the feel and comfort and the details and craftsmanship are amazing. Very simple, but very stylish. One of few sneakers that can be worn with chinos/jeans/even suits without looking cheesy. The silhouette is narrow, but that's how I like my shoes and the rounded toe with the smile is perfection. I would recommend Puma's Roma shoes, which have a similar shape and simple styling. Order half size or full size smaller (I usually wear 10 or even 10.5 depending on shoe, but 9s in the Jacks fit well for me).

Rockin' shoes - I love Converse. This is my first pair of Jack Purcells after wearing Chuck Taylors for a very long time. I did have to go up half a size, but Jack's have more padding and a thicker insole, which is also removable for orthotics! I love the way they look and feel.

The Classic never dies - White sneaker that has the right look. More refined than Converse All Star (not quite a "bobo"), and not a typical athletic shoe/"trainer", this sneak is a perfect summer shoe. From shorts to jeans to a casual seersucker suit, these sneakers rock!!

Nice update on a classic - These are much more comfortable and fit my feet way better than the Chuck Taylor models. Great weekend shoes! They do run a bit large. I wear a men's 8.5 normally, and the size 8 here fits great.

Great new fit!!!! These are a world of difference compared to the old design. The new insole is thick and comfortable.

Jack Purcell's - I love these tennis shoes!! These are great for the summer for the "no ankle socks" look. I always receive so many compliments when I wear them. There're great with jeans, capris or shorts and are completely comfortable. I recommend buying these tennis in 1/2 larger size than your normal size, if wearing socks or footies.

Love these shoes! These shoes are great for everyday wear and looks awesome with anything. They're more comfortable than the regular chucks by far. As always I got these shipped extremely quick (overnight).

Bought for my husband - I bought the shoes for my husband as a surprise because we were unable to find cloth Keds anywhere. We went to Tucson & he wanted cooler shoes. We really like them.

Jack Purcell - Eternal - I have worn Jack Purcells since I was a teen in the sixties. They have been and will remain my "sneaker" of choice due to their eternally classic look and the comfort that they provide. Thank you Zappos for making it easy for me to welcome back an old friend.

Comfortable and cool - These are actually more comfortable than I thought. They are much more comfortable than the regular converse chucks. They also look much cooler too. Not the best shoe to support the arches in your feet but looks sometimes require some sacrifice I guess.

Old School - I am 58 years young and I love the shoes that I wore as a teenager. The Purcell's are better quality then when I was young

Good old Purcell - Great shoe, good old looks and traditional design, this pair even accommodate orthos, if you happen to wear them, nice fit, order 1/2 size smaller than your regular size. Overall great fit, good value for your money.

Staple White Shoes For Wardrobe - More comfortable than I expected...very stylish...definitely a classic shoe that will can be worn for years to come.

Updated Classic - Finally wore out pair of original JPs after 12 years, and read about changes to design. New version is lighter, more comfortable with a removable insole, better laces, but still the same great look. Great job Converse on improving a classic.

Comfy, classic, a good buy. May run just slightly big but my regular size still fit me fine.

Excellent sneakers! Jack Purcells are the best looking sneakers you can buy, hands down. I love how they look with jeans & khakis and I get compliments on them all the time.

Jack Purcell Blue Tips - Zappos is the greatest for all manner of shoes. Not only do they have the fullest stock of any merchant, but also they are very easy to deal with and they give wonderful, speedy service. You can't go wrong with Zappos.

Great shoe!!!! I love the look of this shoe! Very classic! I did have a little rubbing around my baby toe on my right foot at first and I read another review that this happened to them so for long afternoons and a lot of walking you should probably wear your walking or running shoes. I also took the other reviewers advice and went 1/2 size smaller than I normally do and this fir great!

Great looking sneakers - If you're into the laidback preppy style, these are the perfect looking shoes. They look great and I got quite a few compliments. I was shopping for a pair of sneakers and knew that my search had ended when I saw this.

Great revival of a great shoe! I have had these shoes off and on over the years but the new version with the added padding is so much better! Now these super cute shoes are even more comfortable!!

Comfortable, stylish kicks that are easy on the wallet - These have got to be the coolest looking $55 sneakers imaginable. I got the white ones, and they are WHITE. So sharp and crisp looking. Also, my 5-star comfort rating is an assessment of these shoes for what they are. I am not going to run 5Ks in them, but who would expect to? They are for wearing around town and hanging out in. For that, they're perfectly comfy. I have never been a Chuck Taylor fan at all, but these are different. I think I'll need more colors before I am done.

Great comfort and never out of style. I love the look and comfort of this shoe. I got white and it suits my casual needs perfectly. Goes with jeans and chinos. I have always had the Chuck Taylors, but these are a bit more padded and cushioned. Will always have both.

Great Shoe! This shoe is great and looks so cute! It is extremely comfortable, without compromising "the look". I would recommend this shoe for those that love converse and love "Chucks".

Why would you want to go to a mall when there is Zappo's? I LOVE my blue Jack Purcell's! They're darling and my husband and baby have the same blue pair. One caveat: I wear a women's 9 and had to return my nines for and 8-1/2. The 8-1/2s fit great but are too tight with socks. They're meant to be worn barefoot anyway. BTW, what a great deal; free overnight shipping and nearly every brand I could want! I was very impressed with the delivery and return policy.
