Never shop anywhere else - I have ordered these shoes from Zappos before and my experience was so great, I ordered them again. The sizing is right on (I am a seven in women’s, and the suggestion was a men's 5 1/2, which fit perfectly). As with all Converse shoes, the arch support isn't the greatest, but it doesn’t bother me all that much (you could use an orthotic in place of the insole). I like the Purcells over the regular Converse All Stars because they are more classic than "street". I have ordered from Zappos for a couple of years now and I have NEVER been disappointed with their service. They are simply the best out there and I have been hooked ever since. I purchase almost all of my shoes from them and will continue to do so for life! Hmmm... now I am waiting on the brown/pink Purcells to come in so I could purchase them also.

Looks great, gets a lot of compliments. Easy to clean. Comfortable, but gets less so when worn for long spells. Order a half-size down.

Reading the other reviews I was worried about the fit, but got my true size anyway. Now that I have them I can't see what anyone was talking about, they fit absolutely perfectly. I (and others) think they look great with their clean, simple lines and smile. One person though mistook them for Chuck Taylors. Last, Zappos is amazing and got them to me on Tuesday after I ordered Sunday with regular shipping. Great shoes.

Blast from the Past - I wore this same brand of shoe when I was younger. Have tried for years to find them, then was very surprised when my girlfriend found them on Zappos. They are still as comfortable as I remember them. I would recommend them to anyone who wants just a plain tennis shoe to wear with jeans.

Teenage son ordered a pair in navy, which arrived in the mail the next day. Fit is true to size. He wears an 8.5 and ordered 8.5. Comfortable and no complaints from him. He's gotten compliments on these classic sneakers.

Jack Purcell Blue-Tips! I thought they quit making these! My brothers and I wore these in the early 70's so I had to have a pair, just for the sake of nostalgia. They're every bit as comfortable as I remember and have a cool, classic vibe about them. If you wear Converse All Stars, I recommend going a full size larger on these because they have a little more padding and arch support than Chucks. Love 'em! This is my second pair of shoes from Zappos and their customer service is absolutely the best on the 'net. I will never set foot in a shoe store again. Ever.

Great intellectual summer shoe - These shoes are great. They go with practically anything in my wardrobe. Be sure to get your regular shoe size, NOT Chuck Taylor sizes. I'm a 10 in Chucks but I'm a size 11(wide). They're a little snug since they're narrow so if you have wide feet, consider getting them a half size larger than your normal size.

Great Shoe - I ordered a size 8, when I typically wear a size 7.5. The 8 is slightly big, but not enough so that I need to send this shoe back for a smaller size. Therefore, I think the 7.5 would have been too small because I like a little breathing room for my toes. It's very comfortable and I like the simplistic, retro style. I bought these for an upcoming stay in Europe, and I'm confident they will stand the test of time while keeping me stylish.

Great shoe....Great service!!! I love these shoes. Classic and hip. I get many compliments on them and even wear them to work due to the easy dressablility of these shoes! Zappos is by far the best, I am typically an in person buyer of shoes, but the level of service is unmatched! I'm a Zappos buyer for life! I ordered these less than 24 hours before I received them! INSANE!!

Jack be nimble - Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, Jack reminded of when I was quick. I saw these shoes and was nostalgic about my childhood when I'd wear my Jack Purcell's until the sole wore through. I'd run in the rain and creeks and watch water squirt from the metal eyelets on the insides of the shoes. They fit well too.

Awesome comfort even for an old lady!!! I have foot (actually, FEET) trouble. These shoes are just the most comfortable. There is a nice arch, they are cool and my feet don't perspire in them. I bought three (3) pairs because I didn't know how much longer you might be carrying them. GREAT SHOE!!!

Great shoes! I love these shoes. I wear a 9 1/2 in every kind of shoe, but with the Jack Purcell I needed a 10. They fit a little small.

Love these! These shoes are for men and women, so they run a woman's 'C' width, which is what I was hoping for!

Better than Chuck All Stars! Just received these shoes yesterday morning after ordering them the day before! Zappos customer service and shipping is the best! As far as the shoes go, the women's 8 was a little big, but the women's 7.5 was too snug… so stuck with the 8. Overall they are super cute and will probably get another color in the future (I ordered white this time).

Any day shoe - Very comfortable and even tough it is white you can wash it. Wear it with shorts or jeans it is stylish. Overall good buy.

Always a favorite. These Jack Purcell’s are so comfy compared to similar shoes. They are a bit narrow--so if you have wide feet, these probably wouldn't be comfortable. I have a slightly narrow foot and they fit great. I can walk in them all day without feeling fatigued or like my arches are going to give out.

Love 'em! I love these shoes. They make me want to do heal kicks... They are way more comfortable then the normal Converse. However, I feel like the shoe is a little narrow around the toes. My pinky toes are getting rubbed a little.

Excellent pick - This is an excellent choice for this genre of shoe. They look great with jeans and are particularly great for us gals over 40 who want to add some stylish "oomph" to the wardrobe without looking age inappropriate. They provide that slight look of rebellion, and a wonderful retro look that we can claim as our own (since we wore 'em back in the day before our kids did!) Contrary to other reports, I found these shoes to be true to size if maybe a tiny, tiny bit long--perfect for comfort. Not enough to size up, though. I tried that and it was a mistake. Removable insole a plus for orthotic wearers.

Jack Purcell - This is a comfortable, classic sneaker. The canvas version breathes well. But, if looking for a lot of support then this may not be the sneaker for you.

Nice Shoes - I ordered a pair of Jack Purcell's a size larger than my Chuck Taylors because I read the reviews that Jack Purcell's fit more true to size unlike the Chuck Taylors. I usually wear a size 10, but for the Chucks, I was a 9. Jack's were too big for me in a size 10 so I returned them and got a size 9 and they fit me great! The only thing I wish they had changed is the canvas and the "rubber" part up front are pure white, the sole is a little yellow, you can't tell in sunlight, but indoors it really does show. It's not a big deal, but other than that, the shoes are awesome.

Great shoes - Just got my Jack Purcells. They look great and are very comfortable. A great Converse shoe if you're looking for something a little different. Definitely order 1/2 size larger than you normally would.

Love these shoes - I love my new Jack Purcells! The only thing that bothers me is that they squeak with my orthotics in. I have an older pair that doesn't do this, so maybe it’s just a matter of breaking them in more.
