Boots fit great. Break in took a weekend. Customer service was exceptional. It was the best I have experienced ever, from any company.

This is the first time I ordered from Zappos.com. My order came promptly and the boots were in great condition. These were a birthday gift for my husband, who is extremely picky, and he loved them. I would definitely use this site again.

Excellent quality boot. Have a bunion and thus needed a wide fit. Wasatch 8W fit perfectly with plenty of support and room for my bunion. Service from Zappos is prompt, reliable, and trustworthy.

Worth resoling - Bar none, these are the best boots I've worn in the past 30 years. They fit right out of the box, they've never leaked, and they've never given me blisters. They breathe like no other boot I've ever worn. When I wore out the soles (after eighteen hard months), I had them resoled (Resole America, and I don't work there or know anyone there either, in case you're wondering) and they're like new. I will definitely buy another pair. Maybe two.

Vasque Wasatch GTX - I think these are the best boots I've purchased for hiking. I have Flat feet both ankles that have been broken which left me with larger than normal size ankles. These Boots fit great out of the Box and gave outstanding stability to my ankles. I am not a long distance hiker by any means, but these boots have allowed me 10 mile days at 6'1" 265 lbs. with 40 pound pack. I’m Sold on these Boots.

Great boots - It is hard for me to find just the right boot. These were just what I wanted. I bought two other pair before trying these. They were a little stiff out of the box but after a week of twelve hour days in them they are well broke in. I had no blisters or hot spots ever. Very comfortable and so light. I will be buying these whenever my current pair fall apart.

Great Boots - I've been wearing Vasques for fifteen years. I hike almost every day and find them to be the most comfortable boot on the market. Great traction, waterproof, great support and comfort - what more could you ask for?

Vasque Wasatch GTX - I am a very discriminating boot buyer who recently did a 21 mile backpack trip in three days and two nights with a 40 pound pack while wearing a "out of the box" pair of Vasque Wasatch GTX's and am very happy to say that I would highly recommend them. Tough, excellent support and no blisters in some very rugged country. Thank you Vasque!

Great Boot - I ordered these boots in a size larger than I normally wear and they fit so nice when I tried them on. I wore them to work the next day for 12 hours and they felt very nice on my feet. Nice and solid footing. I'm very happy with these boots and will buy them again when I wear these out.

Worth Every Penny - A great hiking boot! I said "boot" because just like all boots, you need to break them in. I did a four mile fire fighter pack test with these to break them in and now they are great! The grip, sturdiness, and support for you feet is awesome. The only thing I would caution anyone on is the boot size. I wear a size 12 in Reebok shoes and the boot is a half size smaller (11 1/2). I would recommend any Vasque product.

Fantastic Boot - I want to wear these to a ball, to a dance, to my wedding, oh wait, I'm already married. I love these boots. Perfect.

I wore these boots right out of the box on a 20 mile hike on steep Appalachian mountain trails mostly in the rain. My feet were comfortable and dry the whole trip.

They need a little breaking in if you are not used to a padded high top, good support, comfortable after break-in!

4 wheel drive for your feet - I've never owned a pair of high quality boots like these since it was nearly impossible to find wide sizes at the local stores. I used to own some Rockports in a regular width but did not wear them much because of comfort issues (not fitting my wider foot). I also tried some Dunhams in 4E width but that was too wide. These Vasque's fit perfectly. There was initially a little pressure on the instep but a change in lacing techniques fixed the problem while still holding the heel firmly in place. I have taken these on several day hikes and found them very comfortable and able to take whatever conditions and terrain are thrown at them. The waterproofing is awesome and I like the way they look too. Zappos service was excellent.

Very Pleased - Excellent boots. Quality of materials is very good and as described. The boot has a lot of support and is really comfortable. There are some very small details about the styling of the boot that I would change, but 1) they are unimportant 2) these are not meant to make me pretty. :-) I looked a long time at boots before deciding on this pair. The boot is a little pricey but is in line with other boots of that quality. Price at Zappos (when you consider no tax and free shipping) was actually cheaper than other shops (I know because I spent hours trying to find a cheaper price on eBay, other online shoe stores, local retailers, etc.). Bought 2 pair at the time (this pair and another from Garmont). Returned the other set because they were uncomfortable. Shipping was fast (and free). My return was handled without any problems. I have no regrets about the boots or Zappos.

No problems on the Camino- I wore this shoe on the Camino de Santiago, 150 miles over Roman military roads that were very rough and steep. Never had one foot related problem, thanks to these great fitting and comfortable boots.

My new Vasque Wasatch GTX has been incredible. True to fit size. However, I did replace the insole with Super Feet, which I find lifting. The shoe has helped to stabilize my feet when hiking on uneven ground. The soles don't hold dirt in and are almost self-cleaning. The para-cord laces have proven fast and secure. They also seem self adjusting to give a more comfortable fit. Cool and lite I always look forward to wearing them.

I wear a size 9 wide and purchased this boot because it has a larger volume than most boots of the same size, such as an Asolo, and fits a wider fuller foot better. I insert custom orthotics in all my boots so I cannot comment on the arch support. This boot has good rocker, but being as flexible as it is, this probably isn't as important as it would be on a stiffer boot. I wear it every day for both work and around the house and yard and get 1 year out of it before the sole goes. Though it has a Gore-Tex liner, I have found that a good deep coating of SnoSeal right off the bat protects the leather and extends the life to the point it will be the sole that goes first. The boot is leather and protects your foot better than the leather and nylon combination boots. The boot is, in my opinion, a light weight boot and though not in the same class as the heavy high quality boots with sewn Norwegian welts of yesteryear, should still be an adequate boot for short backpack trips. One advantage of being lightweight is it breaks in fairly easily. If light backpacking / hiking is your need, or just a sturdy boot to kick around in, then I think this boot deserves a look. I am on my third pair now. I have purchased from Zappos several times and service has always been top notch.

Average shoe - The shoe quality is good, but it is very slippery and I mean very slippery on wet conditions. Other people have raised the same issue and there have been few occasions that I almost fell head first. Second problem I have had with them is that I have had two blue toenails. I wear thick hiking socks and tie my shoe laces tight not to have foot movement but still. There are much better shoes out there for the same price.

Warning! Slippery in snow & rain! I threw my back out trying to catch myself from falling in the rain.

Do not buy these boots. I have had two pairs, and the soles cracked prematurely at the ball of the foot. In each case, the boot still had at least 80 percent tread remaining, and the uppers were still in excellent condition. This is a comfortable, waterproof boot that will barely last one season of light use. Do not buy it.

I bought this boot for ankle support, and it did not disappoint. Very good support and comfort. Like others, however, I was more than disappointed with traction. The boot is down-right useless on wet surfaces of any kind. Almost fell on numerous occasions both outdoors and in buildings with wet tile floors. Have worn this boot for two years, and I am glad it's time for a new pair. Will not buy again since I feel I cannot trust my footing in this boot.

These are nice comfortable boots!! but watch out when it rains or snows!!I been walking on blue stone when wet and slidding all over the place! I also slipped going down stairs once ,Just caught my fall! The soles are very hard material!!\r\nBeware!!

This is an excellent boot. Just bought my second pair after years of use on the first. They are a very sturdy and substantial boot, and are completely waterproof. Walk through puddles 4 inches deep and still have dry socks!
