The BEST Boat Shoe!!
I've owned these shoes for years and they are the best! They conform to the shape of your foot and last forever. I soak them in warm water and wear them with socks a couple times and they're mine forever. After that, saddle soap and wax keep them supple and perfect to wear to the beach or boardroom...

Delighted with my Sebago Docksides -
I have been looking for several years to replace my Docksides which I purchased over 15 years ago. My daughter told me to try Zappos, and to my delight it paid off. The Docksides are the best made, best looking, and best wearing boat shoe I have ever encountered, because they have a full, not split, last; they retain their shape and truly improve with age. I hope Sebago never stops making the Docksides.

Better fit than any of the competition -
The Sebago Docksides fits better than any other brand. I have worn them for more than 25 years; nothing is better.

Continued satisfaction with Sebago Docksides -
I purchased my first pair of these shoes almost 25 years ago! For leisure, comfort, and durability they are tops. It seems as though it is impossible to totally wear them out. I even went swimming in the ocean with them on (I'm a little squeamish about what I might step on--ha).
I now have 3 pairs of them, still wearing the first ones to cut grass in. It's just a great shoe, what else can I say? OH YES---The only thing greater than the shoe itself is buying it from ZAPPOS!!

The perfect boat and casual shoe -
Wear with shorts or jeans, even khakis. The perfect summer shoe when flip flops just won't cut it. I go barefoot in mine but socks look fine with jeans or khakis.

Gotta Have Docksides-
OK, I know this shoe is a style that has been around a long time. Although not exciting it is timeless. This shoe takes about three days to break in and then its solid comfort for the life of the shoe. Recently, at Disney, I was told wear sneakers or you'll get blisters etc from all the walking. Nope, Broken in Docksides without socks worked just fine! You can look at the Sperry Topsiders, they started the craze about 30 plus years ago but they are heavier and just don’t fit me as well. One more thing, I have been buying these for years and once you find your fit, (not easy for me at 14Wide!) it is consistent from year to year. I never wonder how they will fit this time. Zappos had the size, shipped fast and the price was reasonable. So, you won’t be sporting the Air Jordan look but you'll be comfortable for a long time.
I'd also recommend:
Other top of the line type shoes, like Bostonian etc.

Sebago Dockside -
These are the go anywhere, anytime casual shoe. Once you have broken them in, they are like slippers.
These shoes work with shorts and men's casual ware just as well. They look great with khakis and in New England, they are wearable for three seasons.

Great shoes, but pretty stiff when first bought. Def need to work them in a bit. About a 1/2 size smaller than I normally get.

I usually wear Vans slip-ons, Adidas Campus Vulcs, Emericas, etc, but I thought it was time to buy a more "mature" pair of shoes, so I went for the Docksides (because Zappos was out of the Top-sider in my size). Anyways, these shoes look really good, but anyone who actually thinks they're comfortable has been missing out on truly comfortable shoes. I can't wear them without socks because they give me blisters galore, but wearing them with socks makes them too tight. If you typically wear skate shoes and are planning to wear socks with the Docksides, you might consider going for the wider option. In conclusion: they look awesome; they don't feel awesome.

Great looking shoe. May want to buy them a little looser than usual for comfort. Feet get very hot and sweaty in these because inside is all leather and cannot breath much. Overall, Happy with the look of the shoe, just a little too warm on those hot summer days.

Laces don\'t come crossed like in the pic, but you can do it on your own with a little practice, and will look much better than tied. Durable leather, rigid. May take a few years to break these in to that really worn-in look, which I personally like.

Very good looking shoes. Took a few wears to break them in. Only real problem I had was wearing them walking several miles; I did pick up a blister but that was my own stupidity.

Loved the look of the shoe but the width across the toe box was a problem. Needed to get wide (but normally not a wide).

Didn't want to fall into the Sperry category, so I bought these. I found them very uncomfortable and they actually made the back of my heel bleed when I didn't wear sox with them. I am going to Sperry now. However I think they are the best looking boat shoe out on the market. Maybe you experience will be different than mine.
I'd also recommend:

I know these shoes get a lot of positive reviews for their comfort, but I have to say I've had the worst experience with them. I received my Docksides in the mail last spring to replace a pair of beloved but worn out Sperrys. They were uncomfortably narrow and the leather was rubbery and stiff. I set about attempting every trick in the book to break them in to no avail. A year later they are still not broken in! I'm a college student on a big campus and do a lot of walking in them and still, no luck. The sole has worn down but the leather is still painfully rigid. It seems clear that the quality of the Sebagos has taken a major dive as my friends with older ones have had no such problems. Until their quality shapes up, I'm sticking with Sperrys.

These are my new favorite shoes. They fit well and look great and so far show few signs of wear (unlike the Sperrys I had before).

During a long period of active boating, I have worn Sperry, Dockers, TimberLand, and others. Only Sebago has provided a reliable, non-skid, and especially, durable deck shoe. Again and again, I return to Sebagos from Zappo's. Zappo's offers competitive pricing, super-fast shipping, and great customer service. I am entirely satisfied with both Sebago and Zappo's.

I was looking for a somewhat classier option this summer when it came to casual shoes (Chuck Taylors are appropriate in so many, but not all, situations) and I decided to go with the Sebagos. Many reviews state Sebagos are better made than Sperrys, and, even though both brands are now owned by the same company (Wolverine), the Sebagos are seen as a more upscale shoe and are marketed as such, at least according to the president of Wolverine who was quoted in an article I read in the Washington Post. Anyway, it has taken a few weeks of wear to get them broken in and it is still a work in progress, but when I am not at work I want to wear them all the time. They look great with almost anything and, for a shoe that appears to have little or no cushion or arch support, they are actually comfortable. No, I would not want to go hiking in these but for walking around town or being out in the yard they are just right. When my wife and I are out to eat I like to slide my feet under my chair, lift my heels entirely out of my Sebagos, and just kind of have a nice "foot siesta"; very relaxing. I wish they were made in the USA (mine were made in Indonesia), but if they were, they'd be twice the price. In the end I would recommend this as a great casual shoe.

These shoes were quite stiff out of the box and were a bit painful to wear the first couple of times....mostly just in the heel. Now that I have worn them a few times they are beginning to become extremely comfortable as expected. I have been wearing Sperry Top-siders (multiple pairs) for the past 4 years and the quality of these shoes is a notch above Sperry in my opinion...better leathers used. I'm hoping that in another week or two they are just as comfortable as them too. I definitely recommend these as a dressier boat shoe or an alternative to Sperry. Just be prepared for a break-in period.

I found what I wanted at a good price and ordered them. This is the first time that I have ordered from Zappos. I really have not heard of them because I buy as little as possible from the internet. I will buy from Zappos again. I am glad that I found out about them. This is a great place.
