I love the style of this boot! The calf area is pretty narrow, I’m lucky they fit just perfect. I always wear a 61/2, but had to get a 6 in these. They fit ok, the back of the heel area fits and feels weird/loose, doesn’t hug the way most shoes do. I read they break in nicely, so that’s who I’m hoping for. They are a bit of a heavy boot but they are sturdy. Besides that, they are an awesome looking pair of boots and give good support.

I LOVE THESE BOOTS!!! I have slightly wide feet and I had to break them in for a while because they're a little narrow, and I had to get used to my feet looking way bigger than they are because of the square toe, but they are my favorites.

I love these boots. If I read the reviews I would have bought them a half size down. I read the review and I will try using a shoe pad.

I originally purchased the Frye Harness boots but both pairs I ordered (first size 8 and then 7.5) were too big, especially in the calf area and just looked weird. I found these Durango boots at a local shoe store in a size 7 (and on sale) and decided to give them a try. I like them so much better. They are not as heavy feeling as they Frye's but are still good quality and they fit my calves so much better so that I don't look like a little kid wearing my dad's boots. Normally I wear a 7.5-8 and the 7's in these fit fine even with regular socks.

I love these boots and I'm so sad that they are too big and literally falling off my feet in my regular size. I'm going to try a half size down and see if that works.

This is a great boot! I suggest ordering a size down though! I am planning on ordering Frye boots from Zappos! The shipping is the best ever!

Happy With Boots - I really like this boot! The leather is nice and soft. There is little arch support as others have mentioned, but that's easily remedied with inserts of some sort. I also feel as though they are a little long - I bought a 7, the size I normally wear, and feel like I could have gone down a half-size easily. The one thing that bugs me is the strap that goes around the back of the boot - it seems to be a little long and so doesn't sit up at ankle height as shown in the photo - instead it slips down and rests against the place where the leather upper meets the sole - not a big deal, but not quite what I expected. Oh well. Nice boots overall!

Philly Girl - These boots look awesome but are very narrow. After a good deal of wear they have stretched and gotten much more comfortable, but still bother my feet a little. I think they will stretch more in time. I did as most suggested and ordered a 1/2 size smaller, but also got my true size to compare. I kept the smaller pair. All in all it is a great boot and just needs some stretching if you have medium to wide feet.

Geminijem - I can say that this boot is flipping awesome! I did heed other's comments and ordered a 1/2 smaller and it fits in length. My only complaint is that this boot is very narrow. I will admit that I live on the East Coast so I just recently stepped out of flip flops and sandals into closed-toe shoes so it could be the fact that I need to adjust. In saying all that I will keep these boots because I love the look and hope that shoe-trees will make them wider.

Great, but narrow and run a 1/2 size big - These are nice looking boots but narrow. A friend tried them on and thought the same thing. Good quality. Nice leather. Good calf circumference for calves that aren't slim.

My apparently fat feet... I was looking so forward to ordering these boots. I read all of the reviews and decided to go with a 6 1/2 as others had suggested instead of my usual size 7. The length is perfect. I think a 7 would have been too long. The boots look great, and I love everything about them except that they are considerably narrower that I imagined. I don't think my feet are that chubby, but they are definitely not thin. I am trying to wear thicker socks to help break them in width wise. Overall, I love the boot, and it is really an easy shoe to wear all day.

Great boot - This is a loose fitting boot that takes a few wears to feel good, but you can wear it all day and feel great. I have bad arches and put in an arch support for extra comfort. Slightly narrower heel than Frye and definitely a better deal!

Not quite as fine as similar Frye boot - I thought I'd do a little economizing and order Durangos instead of Frye harness boots. Compared to Frye’s, the look of the Durangos was fine, and the leather across the broadest part of my foot was nice and soft (more forgiving than Frye’s). Lovely arch support, too. But the top of the shaft was kind of sharp -- dug into my shin, whereas Frye’s have a nice turned hem at the top of the shaft. I'm returning the Durangos and saving my pennies for Frye’s.

First pair of Durango boots - great fit and wearability. I've wanted to buy harness-style boots for a while and have been discouraged by the high prices of certain brands. Zappos.com is one of my favorite shoe stores, and after reading the comments from customers who've bought this pair of Durango boots, I was very comfortable in giving them a try. Great price, great fit and look, virtually no break-in time at all. I normally wear a size 8 for boots and took the advice of a few customers to go down 1/2 a size and the fit is perfect. Very happy with this purchase and with Zappos.com.

Durangos- I selected these boots partly on the strength of other reviews here- just one of the things that makes Zappos a great place to shop. I'm still in the "breaking in" period as far as the heel slippage thing is concerned (I've worn them all day twice), but once that settles down, I think I'll really love this boots. They have good arch support, a heel that is substantive without being high enough to be uncomfortable, and they're very well-made. Some others have noted that they seem narrower than marked, but that was a strong selling point for me- I have quite narrow feet, and I'm pretty much resigned to slipping a little in my shoes if I want to wear anything stylish. The width is pretty good for me, but if you have a wide foot, you'll probably be uncomfortable in these. Yay Zappos.

The quality and comfort of these boots is 5 star!! However they run slightly big.

I bought a these hopeful they would be a more comfortable option over the Frye harness boots based on the feedback of others. Sadly they didn’t fit. I think they run about a half size to big as about 40% of reviewers stated. Also as a 5’3” woman the height and circumference of the calves didn’t work for me. They wouldn’t come over the start of my calves (abt 13”) which is where the height of the shaft hit for me. I’m not sure I will replace them as going a half size smaller makes me concerned the calves would be even tighter.

Decent boot but not as durable or comfortable as other brands of the same style that I’ve owned.
