I was hoping to love these boots based on all of the positive reviews. Unfortunately, I actually really dislike them. They're extremely heavy, which makes them feel like you're plomping around with lead feet when you walk. They are also very square/block-ish, which I find doesn't flatter my legs at all. I didn't think they looked nice under jeans, over leggings, or with a skirt.

These are so cute. Sadly they are very heavy and heavy footwear is just something I am not comfortable wearing. Zappos once again was amazing to deal with.

This boot was way too narrow in width and very uncomfortable as a result. My foot is not that wide so I was surprised by this. It was also way too tight in the shaft around the calf, and I have thin legs. The boot itself was very clunky looking and feeling. The boot wasn’t very well made, and I was quite disappointed in it. The Frye boot similar to this one also runs way too narrow.

AVOID THESE BOOTS!! THE DYE FROM THE LEATHER RUBS OFF!! I was seduced by these because they looked so much like Frye boots, but 1/2 the price, & from what I could tell, no break in time. Well, Strike 1- Right away, I could tell the craftsmanship wasn't nearly up to par (from the hardware details, to the stitching, to the leather). Plus the top of the boot v's down considerably in more of a cowboy boot style, as opposed to a true motorcycle boot. STRIKE 2- When I tried them on, I found the shaft of the boot to be very narrow! & I'm a very petite woman with small calves. I'm usually a 7, occasionally a 71/2. Seeing how reviews said these run big, I ordered both a 61/2 & 7. Well, the 61/2 slipped right on, & fit the best. But the shaft was so narrow, nothing more than tights or leggings would fit in these boots. I wanted a boot that was versatile & could be worn primarily with jeans. The 7 was a bit big & came up too high on my petite frame. Perhaps with thicker socks on to compensate, there was a tiny bit more room @ the shaft, but still, even skinny jeans would be very hard to fit & not so comfortable. But the worst was STRIKE 3- When I took the boots off (after wearing them less than 5min) there were big, black strains from the dye all around my calves, all over my white socks & all over my hands! It looked like I'd been handling a freshly printed newspaper! Completely unexceptable! For $140, the dye shouldn't transfer onto everything it rubs up against! Ugh! I'm writing this review in the hopes that it spares another woman from this hassle. Sometimes, you come across a steal! But this... is not one of those times! Lol Please save yourself the trouble, & skip these. But, once again, Zappos is outstanding!! The customer service is phenomenal! My exchange was instantly processed ( by the sweetest of women!) & I'm now anxiously awaiting my new Frye boots! Thank you Zappos!

I ordered these boots (in addition to several others, just to try on) because of their resemblance to a pair of Frye boots that I liked but cost too much. As always, Zappos is great and delivers faster than expected. As for Durango, I cant say very many good things. All of the boots that I ordered were impossibly narrow and or not true to size. The brown leather harness boots were soft, very attractive and not too heavy. They did fit my foot BUT THE PART OF THE BOOT THAT GOES OVER THE CALF WAS TOO NARROW. I am not a big woman and don't usually encounter this problem. This boot is supposed to be big and chunky. I am most likely going to return them with the rest of the boots I ordered. Maybe I should bring them to a shoe maker to have them stretched? Not sure yet. All I know is that I will never order durango brand again due to the narrow width...no matter the price or how cute they are. I suggest you do the same.
