Was expecting better comfort from Rockport - I have very wide feet with bunions so I purchased this shoe in EW width. It just wasn't wide enough. I walked around the house about 10 minutes, and my bunions never stopped hurting. I had also purchased Hush Puppies Power Walker in the same EW size. This proved to be a much wider, comfortable shoe where the Rockport didn't even come close. I returned the Rockport the next day.

Not for work - Ok for casual wear but poor arch support and flat bottoms make it a bad choice for a nurse in a hospital setting. I will use these occasionally and buy a better shoe for work.

For walking shoes, there is very little padding. I am very disappointed with these shoes.

Disappointed - I wanted a shoe that didn't look athletic. I work in healthcare and wanted to wear them as a work shoe. I bought them based on reviews. I find the sole hard, and feel like I was wearing street shoes all day. My feet hurt. They don't seem wide enough, and have no cushioning. I will have to look for another pair, and dread ever putting these on. The seam stitching comes through and also creates pain.

Not what I expected – The ‘Marta’ is true to size. Yet there was no support. I expected a better shoe from Rockport. I am disappointed with this shoe.

This is the second pair of these particular shoes that I have purchased from Zappos. They are very comfortable, and have a good fit.

The shoes did not hold the shape. It looked worn after a week. The regular style was not available and I got these as a second option. I ordered the style needed for comfort.

I'd been wearing a New Balance walking shoe for years, but I suddenly didn't fit into it, so I tried this shoe instead. It's comfortable but doesn't offer as much support as the New Balance.

I have had three pairs of Marta, but won't buy them again. They have a lot of pluses (lightweight, flexible enough after breaking in, accept bulky orthotics, reasonably priced, pretty good arch support and foot support in walking). However, they have two cons that rule them out for me now. (1) I have to lace shoes very tightly to compensate for excessive pronation and keep them on my feet, and also to maximize arch support. These shoes are made of good soft leather which stretches over time until I can no longer tighten them enough to wear. A narrower width is available, but it doesn't fit otherwise. (2) I wear a size 11 and these just make my feet look bigger than I can stand. I am now wearing Ecco Glory Tie, which are much more expensive but very foot-flattering and also have good arch support. They are bouncier than I like (I prefer a firm platform when I step), but otherwise I'm happy with them.

More flexible and light weight than many shoes of this type. I wear a narrow size and the fit is wider than normal, especially in the heel.

I kept these shoes because I was desperate. I should have ordered size smaller. I must wear two thick pairs of socks to keep on my feet. They look good, nice style. Next time I'll have to order 4 different sizes to find right size.

Very disappointed with this shoe compared to my old pair of same-style Rockports which I've been wearing for at least 7 years and felt comfortable from the first time I put them on. These were about a half size too long even with my orthotic in place. When I tried to walk in them, my heel slid up and down in the back rather loosely. I had to send them back and couldn't replace them with the next size down because I wear a 6 and this shoe doesn't come in a 5 and 1/2, very sad. I am so hard to fit because of my wide foot, guess I'll have to try Hush Puppies.
