Great shoe- Overall this is a great shoe. It doesn't have a very good arch support, so I don't wear them everyday. In my opinion the sizing is right on and the shoe looks good. I wish it had a better arch support.

FANTASTIC WALKING SHOES - These are the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever owned. They are my first choice for exercising, walking, and working around the house.

This is a comfortable and reasonably decent looking shoe. It is less attractive...but an "ok" substitute. It is less sleek looking ... and wider looking- even in the same size.

Feels so darn good... I have many problems with my feet, my closet is full of very good shoes that I cannot wear, but these are the best. They were so comfortable as soon as I put them on and they have continued to be the most comfortable shoes I own. Size seems true; comfort is the best and the look is fine for me.

Rockport Marta - An excellent substitute for my old favorite, the women's Pro Walker. Sensational shipping time - great product. Shoes fit comfortably from the very first moment.

Worth the price - Not the nicest looking shoe, but it was comfortable to wear from day one. I find the heel to be wider than most; but my heel tends to be on the narrow size. Even though the heel is loose, I decided to keep the shoes since the heel box height still made the shoe comfortable--not too sloshy and did not cause blisters. You can use orthotics with these shoes, no problem. Nice comfortable very casual shoe; an alternative to sneakers.

I bought these to wear mostly around campus. The first day, my feet started hurting after just a few minutes of walking. The shoes offer no cushion against heel strike and I just ached. I switched to thick, cushy socks the second day and that did the trick. I now wear them a lot and find them a decent shoe. I don't know if there's enough room for a padded insert, but I may try that next. I can't resort to thick socks when the weather gets hot again.

Sizing is good and style is basic (which I like), but it didn't have enough arch support.

I normally wear 9AA. Length is fine but unable to tighten enough to eliminate too loose fit.

I bought a pair of these a year ago. I wear them to work, where I walk on concrete all day. They were not comfortable until I added a cheap pair of gel insoles. Until then, I would go home with feet aching because there was not enough padding in them. The uppers have held up ok, but nothing to brag about. I think if they had come in a narrow they would fit better. I might wear them every day if they fit my narrow feet better.

I work in a hospital, and these are great shoes for walking around all day.

As others said, these shoes work with orthotics and they stretch out. So far I have added in insoles, orthotics and tongue pads due to the stretching. Also my teenage daughter says they look like old peoples shoes. Nonetheless they are very comfortable and I like them.

A great shoe. True to size in terms of width but runs a little long. Zappos\' service faster than fast, as usual.

Excellent shoe for support, comfort, orthotics. The leather is soft and over time it stretches. When new, M fits properly with space between the lacing, but after a couple of months, they are laced as snugly as possible and still a bit loose. I use tongue pads to compensate, but it's not an ideal solution. N (S?) fits better at the instep but is too narrow in the toe.

Wanted a comfortable extra pair of walking shoes for my trip to England. These fit the bill wonderfully. Walked all over for hours at a time and never had any trouble with my feet. I have a very narrow, small foot but was able to tie these to fit without any slipping in the heel.

Marta - The insoles are too stiff for me. I appreciate more give in the ball of my foot, and this is hard to walk on after about half a day. The fit is good. Walking shoes always look like walking shoes, so nothing unexpected.

I have a narrow foot and it's hard to find shoes that fit. I just received my shoes and I thought they would be great for indoors. I'm now going to send them back because the heel of this shoe is not narrow and my heel slips up and down when I walk.

Rockport 'Marta' Length runs quite true. It's a little bit wide. I ordered a N and need to wear a bit weightier sock for a really good fit. It could stand a bit more support in the arch. Nicely finished, I like the looks of the shoe very much. It doesn't have that 'clunky' walking shoe appearance.

Works for me! This is a classic Rockport shoe--maybe not what you'd wear if you're a style maven, but comfortable, and incredibly lightweight. It's cut fairly high to give good walking support. My foot's wide, I ordered a wide width, and it's perfect. My arches are very high, so I don't get quite the support I need, but the shoe easily fits an orthotic.

What happened to sizIng? I am writing this for both this shoe and for Hush Puppies Classic Walker. Both shoes look fine. Both are 10W. However this shoe, Marta, is visibly one half inch longer than the Classic. The result is the Classic is too short and the Marta is too long and is also a bit wide. Both are made in China.

WALKING SHOE - This shoe is very comfort, but not what I expected. It isn't that attractive on.

Shoe was not attractive on my feet.

Shoes are okay. Not as deep as I thought they were from reviews. I had issues using them with my orthotics because my foot kept popping out the back which gave me a blister. Doesn't have a lot of support on its own and not very pretty, but if you don't need to walk around too much they will do.
