I was taking a chance buying shoes online, without trying them on, mispronouncing their name, but I have yet to regret it. Although I'm not sure if the Berbers of the Sahara trek about those desert dunes in these fine leather soles, but I would! I needed to replace a pair of non-replaceable Clarks and Zappos was the ideal store for me. With jeans or khakis these classy-gentlemen's best-friend-for-your-feet have worked with comfort and competency in both rain and sun.

Clown shoes? I bought these for my husband - we both thought they looked cool online, but when he tried them on, they looked a little too much like clown shoes with the vertical stripes. It is likely because he had a bigger size (11.5W) and they would probably look quite posh on someone with smaller/narrower feet.

Great Shoes - Comfortable enough to wear and walk all day. Casual enough to go nicely with a pair of jeans or khakis. Dressy enough to pair easily with a suit jacket and slacks. Built well, affordable, and they look good, too. Highly recommend the Tourareg.

Moderately comfortable - but usually the more comfortable the shoes are, the easier they break down. Well, these hold their shape remarkably well.

Decent shoe at a reasonable price - Clarks Touaregs are good shoes but not as comfortable as Portland. Arch support is minimal. But they are still a serviceable walking shoe.

Too big - Love the look and the comfort, but they run a half size too big. Outside of that I'm very happy with them.

Clarks shoe - With the need to find your basic black or brown shoe in a wide width, this is not an easy task. Usually buy New Balance sneakers in a 4E. These shoes came in a 2E and I figured I would give it a shot...and I am glad I did. Very comfortable and they are what I was looking for in a dress/casual black shoe.

Pretty nice shoe. Overall I am happy with the Clarks Touareg. They look great, very unique styling. They offer average comfort for a rubber soled dress shoe. I bought the wide version and wish the width of the shoe was a bit more generous, as on my 13 EE Brooks running shoes.

NICE SHOE - I have worn a variety of Clarks and was happy to find them locally. This shoe fits my style (causal dress for work straight to happy hour after work). Can one say versatility? My only problem is that I have a high instep and after extended wearing, it makes becomes a little uncomfortable. But that is easily solved by loosening the laces.

More Clarks for me! I found a new shoe brand! Very comfortable and a stylish look. I little more polished than I expected, but I am overall extremely pleased!

Good looking, but had to break in - This is a very good looking shoe, but not as wide as marked and as always Clarks are about a half size larger than marked. Good overall once it is broken in and stretched. I ordered the EE because of a wide foot, but it still seemed narrow for the first 10 days or so then stretched out.

Touareg - I am happy with the shoe and would certainly purchase them again. They are exactly what I expected. They go well with jeans and neat casual clothes. I did find they ran slightly large. This was my first order from Zappos and I was very impressed with the service. There was no additional cost for shipping and the shoes arrived within 24 hours. I will be ordering shoes from Zappos again.

I bought these shoes because I like the look and they had a lot of great reviews. My experience wasn't as good, unfortunately. I wear a 12 in all my other shoes...11 1/2 at smallest. I bought 11 1/2 of these and they were huge. Felt like I was wearing clown shoes. I exchanged them for 10 1/2, which fit my foot but the ankle opening was still huge. The shoes slipped terribly when I walked. I ended up returning them. It's too bad. They look great and the quality seems very good.

Look great, but the medium size proved too wide for me, and I've been able to wear mediums in this and many other brands!

My husband liked the look of these shoes ok, but said they just didn't fit right and weren't comfortable, so I returned them.

There should be a category for too much arch support. Unless you have a need for industrial strength arch support, these will probably be uncomfortable for you.

These are nice all-around shoes. But not at the price that I am seeing here. They are more plastic than leather; you can find better quality at this price point. I have gotten good mileage out of my pair but I would not buy another pair unless they were on sale.

In appearance this shoe is a compliment to any pair of feet. But the sole has a plastic-like look and squeaks on some surfaces. The heel could do with slightly more padding.

This shoe leaks like a sieve. If you think you may come across even the shallowest of puddles, buy something else. Otherwise, this shoe is great. Comfortable right out of the box. Almost dressy but casual.

The Clarks Touareg in brown looks fantastic and has a slightly more rugged appearance than is apparent in photographs. I ordered a half-size down as advised by other reviewers, and the fit is good. However, the shoe makes my feet feel hot, and after a month the stiff collar still rubs my ankle, especially when walking on uneven surfaces, so thin socks won\'t do. The laces are a bit too long, but do stay tied. I\'ll reserve the Touareg for undemanding, cooler days.

Touareg... too hot to handle - The fit and feel are nice. The look and style are as expected. However, the shoe does not breathe very well and is uncomfortable. After 4 hours, I found my feet hot and sweaty. I put in an insole that has helped some.

I'm surprised people like these shoes so much. From the start, I felt they were okay, but nothing special. And now, after a year of wearing them pretty much every day (and walking about 2 miles 5/days/week), my socks and feet get wet when walking in even lightly wet conditions. The water comes in around the logo they built into the soles -- the material was too weak and simply gave way eventually. Clearly, a foolish decision to compromise the sole for so trivial purpose. I won't be buying these again, and may avoid any Clarks.

The shoe, nicely styled, is extremely comfortable with plenty of cushioning, good arch support and lots of toe room for my cranky feet. But the sole quality was shockingly bad-- one sole cracked on the bottom less than a month after I bought the shoes, and the other not long after. I didn't even think to check the bottom of the soles when my feet started getting soaked anytime it rained. I thought maybe it was just a little hole somewhere between the uppers and the soles. Who figures the soles would fall apart that fast? It's too late to return them to the store, so I'll send them in for resoling. But if it happens again, that's the end of my Clarks experience.

Nice shoe, but digs into ankles - After wearing the shoe around my house, I noticed that the shoe has sharp and stiff edges that were digging into my ankles, especially when I went around corners. I could not stand this, so I exchanged for another pair of Clarks with more cushion around the ankle. Very glad I made the change. If you are going to be in this shoe every day, I'd advise opting for a more comfortable style.

Awesome shoe for approximately a year. I bought my first pair and after 8 months the left sole cracked in half. After calling Zappos and explaining my situation they sent me a replacement pair. Yes. Zappos does kick butt. Unfortunately, the replacement pair left sole cracked after a year and two weeks. As much as I love the these shoes I expect them to last longer. I will not be purchasing another pair. This same phenomena has occurred for one of my friends as well. Clarks will no longer be on my list of shoe choices.
