The boots feel solid and toasty. Excellent construction and overall design! Don't second guess this boot, buy it!

Quality boot ... toasty warm - I ordered some Sorel Caribou boots from a well known outfitter, but then two days later, saw the Sorel Conquest here at Zappos. Once I saw the Conquest and read the reviews I had to have a pair. Zappos sent them 2nd day air and I got them the same day as I got the Caribous. Very quick shipping, very good communication from Zappos and best of all, when the Conquests arrived, they were even better than I thought they would be. These are very nicely made boots. Perfect stitching, great design and will definately keep your feet warm and dry. When I first tried them on, they felt about a half size too big, but I put on some thick wool socks, snugged up the laces and walked around a bit to get a feel for them. The more I walked around in them, the better I liked them. The feel of the new boot is a little different from what I am used to (fairly cheap leather boots). When I realized that the Conquests were actually fitting nicely with the thicker socks on and my feet didn't move around in them, I was glad that I had ordered them this size (I normally wear a 9 1/2 in a tennis shoe, these are a size 10). The last thing you want for a cold weather boot is for them to be too snug, feet need some breathing room and it's probably a good idea to wear a liner sock (wicking sock) and a nice thick wool sock for the best all around comfort and insulation. After about 20 minutes wearing these boots indoors my feet were getting pretty warm, so I had to go outside (it was around 32F outside). Walking around the yard, they felt great and were starting to become one with my feet. They are not nearly as bulky as the Caribous and seem to give great ankle support. They definately have superior traction and really grow on you as you wear them for a while. I'll be going out in the snow with them tomorrow and I'm sure the built-in gater will be big plus. I've been wanting a warm, waterproof comfortable boot for a long time, I think this one is going to really spoil me. So far, I'm very pleased with them, and they seem to be pretty close to the actual size that I ordered. Remember, it's much easier to add a liner sock than it is to keep warm with boots that are too snug. Can't beat the service, shipping and overall great attitude of Zappos! Free return shipping just in case they are not just the right size, I'm impressed, I think you will be too.

Great snow boot - Sizing, quality and performance are great. Shipping took 3 days and the customer service received from Zappos could not have been better.

Great boot, even better service - Sturdy, warm and great looking. I bought this boot for my son this Christmas. Zappos got them to me in record time. When they didn't fit, Zappos made it easy to return them, they even helped me select the correct size. The new boots fit and my son loves them. I typically don't order footwear online, but now that I've discovered Zappos, that has changed. Thanks.

FANTASTIC!! Boot was exactly as described. Ordering was extreamly easy. Zappos upgraded my the free standard shipping to 2day air for free, ordered on a friday got them on Monday. Have not worn boots in cold weather yet but dealing wih Zappos was a dream!!!

Great boots! The best for deep slush and snow! they're very warm, great for walking distances and the drawstring snow stopper at the top is a must in deep snow. The tread and support is top notch...Plus they look great too... They are definately the best boot for the dark months!

SOREL CONQUEST - Great boot, but I take an 8 and the 8 felt large so I gave them to my son who wears a 9 and they fit him perfectly.

Conquest by Sorel - Boots are built rugged but still have a great look. Perform well in very cold temperatures.

Great winter boots, but order a half-size up - Love the looks, feel and warmth, but I think the sizing is wrong. My normal size felt quite tight even with thin dress socks, and uncomfortable with a pair of Smartwool socks. I strongly suggest you order a half-size larger than normal. And, if your feet are on the upper edge of your normal size, you even might go up a full size, especially since feet will swell a bit during an active day.

I ordered it for my brother in law who's living in the Philippines... he loves hunting. According to him, he likes the shoes, the only problem is... he needs the wide size but it's only available in narrow size.

The best...!!!!! Sorel's Conquest is the all weather boot for comfort, look, and of course, keeping your feet dry and warm. I returned the first pair and bought 1/2 size larger since my true size felt just a tad tight. Zappos made the buying and return process totally easy. Come on snow!!!!

Quality boot, sturdy construction and comfortable. You can tell these are very warm. I had to return however due to the size - a full size smaller than stated. I have other Sorels that fit true to size. This does not.

Had these boot for 4 or 5 years. The rubber finally cracked at the bend in my toes otherwise they are still in great shape.

Don't expect them to keep your feet warm in the -40 degrees that it claims. My toes were freezing in -13 degrees F with winter wool socks. They do a great job keeping my feet dry in the snow.
