I got this backpack because I needed one for college. I heard North Face made great and durable backpacks so I ordered the Jester in the black and light blue color. It is aesthetically pleasing to the eye in terms of style and color, but the only con was that it was much smaller than I thought it would be. I felt a Jansport backpack was maybe even a tiny bit bigger in terms of volume capacity, but that's just me. The fact it was so small really caused me to rethink my purchase so I went ahead and ordered a Borealis instead in the same color. The Jester is ideal for students who pack lightly, but I needed a bigger backpack so I returned it. Other than the size, it's a great backpack overall!

So glad I chose this backpack instead of another I was looking at. It's great for traveling and outdoors. I will always choose the North Face because it is guaranteed an awesome, durable product.

Just what I was looking form holds everything & then some!!

I absolutely love this backpack, I use it mainly for school. I'm a nursing major so I have so many books and it fits all of them. I like the laptop pocket for it as well!! It's light weight and has a lot of cushion for my back so even with all the books it's still comfortable. The backpack is stiff at first but once you break it in its perfect. Worth the money!!!

This backpack has storage for everything and still maintains a small sleek look. It's color is not white white so is still able to hide the little dirt spots and also quite fashion forward. It sits very comfortably on your back without strain in your shoulders.

I use this backpack for school. The day I received it, it was raining, and nothing inside of the bag was wet when I got home that day. Since I usually bike to class, there is a pocket that is the perfect size for my lock. The laptop pocket fits my 17" Dell Inspiron laptop perfectly, and I can still put various notebooks inside. I was a little nervous when I the Garnet Purple/Surf Green colored backpack, but I actually really like the colors! Overall, I'm very happy about this backpack, especially since it makes it easier for me to stay organized.

Wish there were pockets in the smaller part but it works well for me

I use this backpack for college and I like it a lot. I do want to comment that I can put about two books, a notebook, and occasionally a binder in the big pocket.

I like very much new backpack, is perfect for everyday use, for my work stuff and to have weekend vacation.

I used this backpack for school, and it fit mostly everything. I like the sizing, but everything else not so much. After, not even a year, there is already a hole. I chose a light grey, and dirt is VERY noticeable. The laptop pocket works very well, although I walked home from school one day while it was raining, and everything was ruined.

Great backpack will last forever

I use this backpack for college and it's not a bad bag, I just really would've liked one a bit bigger. The way it's designed doesn't allow a lot of room for some of my smaller books to fit in an organized manner. The main compartment will hold my laptop, a two inch binder, and a one inch, but I have to turn my lit book on its spine and slide it in there so I can get a couple of extra things in. This of course means that in order to get to my book, I have to take stuff out and put it back in, and then do the same when I go to put the book back. The front pocket is long and narrow, so if I want to put more than two small books in there, like my Bible and a little notebook, it won't happen unless it's short enough to stack on top of my Bible. It also makes the bag kind of top heavy, so it falls over frontwards when I set it down, which may not be a big issue to some, but to me it just gets kind of annoying sometimes. Especially when I have to slide it under my desk to keep it out of the isles and getting in people's way. Even with all these petty cons, I'm still going to use it because it's a backpack and I needed one. I just got tired of looking and finally bought this one since my old backpack (that I had used for the past two years) was falling apart. I'm not trying to say it's a terrible backpack at all, it's just not the best for me, but I can overlook the "flaws." Particularly when I love the color and it's made with such good quality. I don't expect this one to break down after two years of use.

Bought for my 11 year old daughter. She loves!!! Quality is good and I believe she will be able to carry this for several years. I will buy this product for my other two children!!

My 14 year old wanted to try a North Face backpack this year. He searched for the right one & decided on the Graphite/Krypton Green. He loves it!!! A friend of mine with a high school daughter wanted a North Face backpack & we recommended the Jester also.

This backpack is just what our 16 year old daughter needed. She just endures a huge surgery having her right ovary removed at the age of 16 due to a turmor. She can't carry over 10 lbs and this backpack is light weight and perfect for her!

Great selection of colors to choose from!

It's a great backpack for general use. The one annoying thing is that the bottom isn't flat so it doesn't sit up unless you lean it against something. I think the reason for that it's like that is so that it isn't bulky, but it's a little annoying.

I've always had issues buying a book bag that would be comfortable on my back and durable to weight! The jester backpack does the job and is very stylish!

I would buy this product and others from North Face based on this experience.

I absolutely love this backpack! I wish I knew earlier on how amazing it is. I put all the same things I had in my previous backpack into this one, and it made everything lightweight! It's stylish too!
