I use this for school and it works for everything I need

Have gotten many compliments on this bag, who would have known that something that was attractive to look at would also be comfortable and fit my needs.

I had the previous Jester and this one definitely has some great new additions! It feels light even when it's full and I love having the laptop pocket. Definitely a great purchase for school!

It's smaller and it's just what I wanted from a sort of smaller backpack. I got it for school and it's perfect. I didn't want a gigantic hiking backpack to carry around. So it's perfect.

TLDR: This was a huge improvement from my Jansport backpack. HUGE. That's just something to be grateful for from the get go. Annoying things: The zipper opens ALL the way to the end of the opening if that makes sense. Meaning the maximum opening is really wide so that the front of the backpack flaps open and it often falls over if I don't carefully prop it against something while it's open. It's a little too narrow as well (see later paragraph about the hump) Good things: Classic North Face quality comfort. Attractive/cool (I have it in black with light blue). Waterbottle carriers. Chest strap for running late to classes without it bouncing around everywhere. Even though it looked frighteningly small when I took it out of the box, I've been using it for about 2 months now and with some initial flaws I will get to after this paragraph, I've gotten used to it and am pretty content. However, I think I would still be better off with a different North Face design. I am a college student who prefers to lug around physical textbooks as well as a 13.5" Macbook Air though so the narrowness of the design actually unevenly distributes the weight..if that makes sense. Basically rather than a moderately thick moderately wide hump, there is a quite narrow but very thick protruding hump on my back. It messes with my center of gravity and thereby my back. I should've gone with a less feminine but more practical wide set backpack. Even though this was supposedly made for laptops, I didn't really like the way it felt on my back. It become stiff and long like a wooden plank pushing against my back as I walk. Overall though, I manage. And the plus is that while it holds a lot of stuff, it fits much easier into smaller lockers than my old Jansport did. This is really convenient because I have to force it in and out of lockers constantly outside of my school's dining halls. Plus the overall comfort is WAY better than Jansport of course. Those thick padded straps though...mm

I needed a backpack that would last, I go to school for 12 hours and carry around enough books and papers to make my car think I have a passenger with me when my bag is in the seat. However this bag is great I can fit my laptop in the pocket, all my notebooks and everything else I need.

This is a great college backpack!! It is small and lightweight, perfect for running around campus. It also is a lot bigger on the inside than I thought! I can fit all my necessities without a problem!

This backpack is perfect for school and traveling use. It has a very secure laptop compartment that I can carry my computer in without worrying it will get damaged.

My daughter is a junior in high school and its great to hsul all the heavy books convenient to carry macbook if nedded without having to carry extra bags

I bought this backpack for school - I am a college senior and I always have my laptop, binders, multiple books, a water bottle, my lunch and all the extras that go along with those items on me each day. This backpack can fit everything I need, and has enough pockets to keep everything separate so that things are easy to find. I have already spilled my lunch inside it and it was an easy clean up too!

I use it to carry everything I need to work daily. Very happy with this purchase.

Just wanted to say how much my granddaughter loved this bag.I always buy her school book bag and she really wanted this bag she saw on line but was afraid to ask for it because she thought it was to expensive. I thought that was so sweet not wanting me to pay that much for her book bag.So I ordered it on line and she was so surprised,and she loves it.

Great price design

I got caught in the rain with this backpack on my college campus for only 2 minutes and when I got home the entire inside of the backpack was soaked through. I had to blow-dry all of my papers and I had to pay hundreds of dollars to fix my laptop because there was so much water damage. The backpack even had a sleeve for my laptop, suggesting it would be protected. For a backpack that is supposed to be for hiking, and has a laptop sleeve, it is certainly not practical and very misleading.

Things are great about this backpack. The 2 pocket water bottle holders are so helpful. The laptop sleeve is perfect size. The built in compartments on the inside of the main pocket help a lot and hold everything I need for school. The adjustable straps are so easy to work with. I really suggest this backpack for highschool for all 4 years, it lasts even longer than 4 years as I've seen my same backpack my friend has and it looks like it was just bought yesterday. Totally worth the money.

I use this backpack to carry around my personal items around college. It is a perfect fit and is very stylish. It makes my life easier when I have heavy textbooks because my campus is huge. Also, it helps with my posture. I have nothing bad to say about this bag.

Recommend for school age children

I use this product every day for school, going to the gym, day hikes. I know it is going to last me a lifetime. Such a great quality backpack

nice product. sent back because it seemed a little small for my daughters needs. very nice laptop protection however I feel it takes too much space away from other practical uses.

My 7th grade daughter loves this back pack for school. She especially likes all the different pockets for organizing everything. There is even a place for her to put her laptop.

My son uses this backpack for school and he loves it. Despite the price which is very affordable, the bag is still good with enough space for several books, laptop, and various other equipment. I would recommend this bag to people of all ages and sizes because it is great. Also this bag has nice cushion for ones back relieving any back pain and ensures comfort. My son likes this bag better than his previous Nike bag because of the cushion and space. Thanks North Face for this great product!

I bought this backpack to use for work since I bring my laptop home every night. It works perfectly!

I use this every day for classes! I have four in a row and have to carry all my books and laptop together and it fits it all without being huge and too heavy on my back! I love the extra padding in the back and it fits great!
