Great option for college. Plenty of space for books and laptop without sacrificing style.

I bought this backpack to replace my Borealis. I loved the new colors (Heather Grey/Powdered Blue). It still had the features I loved about my Borealis: Separate, padded pocket for my laptop, large main compartment for notebooks and binders, & separate organization pocket for pens, pencils, calculator, etc. Practical & stylish.

Build with high quality material and worth every cent of it

I bought this backpack to use during law school and am super happy with it. I've had North Face backpacks in the past as well and they're always durable. This one has different compartments and pockets, which make it easy to carry everything I need for class in it (books, laptop, chargers, snacks). The bag itself is pretty lightweight, which I really appreciate since I load it up with heavy textbooks and things.

I use this for school. I like it, but I wish it wasn't so heavy. Also, I wish there was a spot to put the extra straps (waist strap) in. I know the older recon backpacks had a little pocket for them. I wish this one did too.

Overall, this backpack is great! It is large and deep enough to hold all the things I need. There is an entire protected compartment just for my laptop, so I no longer need a laptop case, which has lightened the load even more. The two deep pockets on either side is good for hold my umbrella and water bottle. The only problem I have experienced so far is that the book bag can not hold itself upright, so I have to lean it on other chairs or table legs. However, I do believe that this is protect the bottom of the bag , so that you labtop isn't making a direct hit with the ground, which for me is worth it because I have to take my computer to class all the time. Overall, it's a great durable book bag for school and would definitely recommend because from the experiences of others, they have kept theres for several years.

Great backpack overall. Lightweight and very comfortable. Only surprised was one of the pockets is a half pocket and didn't go down to the bottom of the backpack.

The backpack was very comfortable on my back and I'm not worried about my laptop breaking. There's just enough room for notebooks, folders, and pencil cases, but not enough for a textbook. The backpack came with a different color strap than shown on the website. I love the compartments and the durability that came with the backpack. I can definitely expect it to last me for the upcoming years.

Great backpack! Love the added color detail around the zippers - makes a plain black backpack standout from the crowd. Nice feature to have the laptop sleeve in a zipper of it's own, added protection and organization. Comfortable shoulder straps and a nice roomy interior.

Attractive look, but straps were not long enough and back was too stiff and hard. It was poorly designed. Returned.

i use this backpack mainly for school. i love it because i can put my ipad in the front pocket with the mesh, and it fits perfect for easy access. the other pockets are the right size and can fit a lot.

This is a pretty good backpack. It holds a lot of stuff... if you pack it correctly. I agree with some of the other reviewers that the shape makes it hard to use. When I first packed this bag for a trip it seemed to hold very little but it turns out there was still a lot of room at the bottom that was inaccessible if not packed in a specific order. I assume this will also make accessing my items at the bottom fairly difficult. My husband's mens' North Face backpack unzips much further making his much more convenient and I wish this one had that feature.

I just got this new back pack for school, it is so cute and the colors are great!

I have used the previous version of the backpack for all four years of high school and it does not have a single rip or tear. It is durable and long lasting. I intend to use this model for college and expect it to hold up the same. Great product!

I use this product for high school. I love all of the pockets and all of the compartments. I dislike how you can't fit to many binders.

I bought it for my boyfriend he needed a back pack a good one since he's starting the police academy. All in one backpack

This is my son's 2nd North Face backpack for school. It's roomy enough to hold his books and his chromebook, in addition to the smaller pockets and compartments for a water bottle, id card, phone, etc... He's already said that it's lightweight and feels comfortable (fully loaded) on.

This backpack has a ton of room and pockets for everything. It is comfortable even when its loaded down.The adjustable straps are padded and very comfortable as well. Usually I purchase a new backpack every year but this one I plan to use this for a few years. Highly recommend, even with the price.
