I use this product for school everyday. I am a sophomore in college and it has plenty of room to fit everything and more! The laptop compartment is my favorite feature that the backpack offers.

Great for carrying books.

This is actually the best bag I've brought. It's a little pricey but it's actually worth the money. I would recommend to a friends. BIG THUMPS UP

This is the best back my son has ever owned!! It is not only great looking but also very comfortable. He carries lots of books in high school and the the padded back and shoulder straps makes it very easy to wear.

Great because it has features that other backpacks don't have.

Nice bag big inside... a great start for high school

I've only owned this bag for a few weeks (Recon Gry/Orng). So far, I'm a fan of the design and layout, but obviously I haven't been able to put it to any big tests yet. Built into the back is some sort of plastic support, which I'm a huge fan of. Keeps it straight. Not sure if it can be removed, but someone who is looking to fold up/bunch up the bag might find this as a disadvantage, but I like that it doesn't slouch over when I set it on the ground.

My daughter uses it for school to carry I pad air and I feel it protects well i also bought another one for my oldest daughter that take her Mac notebook to school

I bought this backpack for my daughter to use for school this year. There is plenty of room and it is so comfortable to carry. I plan to use it when we travel.

Would love for a little more room but works great for school!

I am a college student and I can honestly fit all of my books, laptop, paper, etc in here without ruining anything.

I ordered the grey/orange new Recon to replace my backpack for college, and I love it! The new design is extremely comfortable and intuitive. The pocket placements are perfect and I know I will utilize them all. Definitely an improvement from my last school backpack!

I got this backpack for college, and it has been perfect for every need. It has alot of space to pit binders in and a place for your computer. I would recommend this backpack to anyone.

Daughter is using this backpack for high school!! Everything has a place to go in this backpack!! She loves it!! Color is exactly what she wanted and is exactly how it was described!!

I use this backpack primarily for my school. The pockets are very deep (sometimes too deep - I hate digging around the bottom for my pencil pouch!) and functional. I feel like my laptop is very secure within its pocket. The only thing I do not like about the Recon is the amount of straps hanging off of my body - chest strap, lower ab strap, and adjustable shoulder pad straps - I feel like an octopus sometimes. It's nothing a little knot-tying skills can't fix, but it is rather cumbersome. Otherwise, I love this bag! I purchased it to last me through college and beyond - so far, it's holding up great! I highly recommend!

Love the backpack, but the color wasn't anything like displayed on website. We returned for a different NF backpack,

I bought the women's recon backpack for my freshman daughter. She absolutely loves the style, comfort, and versatility this pack has to offer. There is a special compartment for everything--laptop, notebooks, cell phone, pens/pencils, etc.

I love how the backpack is extremely durable and very comfortable when there is a lot of things in it and when having to walk long distances.

I just use this project for a school book bag. I had a recon before and went back to buy another one because I loved it so much. It looks great and minimalizes heavy loads making it comfortable and fashionable. I would recommend this bag to anybody from the avid outdoorsman to an average student.

Durability on the bottom when you set it down needs rubber

I am satisfied with this backpack. It is a little uncomfortable though because it is very stiff. There is a lot of room to keep items like gum, headphones, a planner, etc. the main part could have more storage because my computer takes up a lot of the space.

Has the perfect amount of room!!! Enough room for: a 14" laptop, a 1in binder 4 notebooks with 70 pages each, two water bottles, a tablet, school supplies(pencils,pens,highlighters ect.) and a phone and various other smaller things!! Also, unlike any other backpack I have had it doesn't hurt my back! I love it and would totally make the same choice if I had to make it again! It works well for me because it has enough room to pack for my busy schedule! I have all meals and everything I need for my 16 hour days!
