My first north face purchase, and I am super impressed. Worth the investment, as I have been using cheaper backpacks and they progressively worsened my back. This backpack provides good support.

For school!

I purchased a North Face Recon backpack about 10 years ago when I was starting high school, and I still use the backpack to this day. This is the best backpack I have ever owned, and I am extremely impressed that it has lasted me through high school, college, and vacations. My boyfriend's backpack was recently stolen, so I was looking for something that he could use for everyday use, as well as on his upcoming 5 week trip to Europe. I was looking for durability and comfort, so I decided to go with the same bag I have enjoyed for so long. He absolutely loves it, and says it has all the pockets and storage space he needs. We are both also a big fan of the fleeced lined pockets. So, GOOD JOB NORTH FACE!

I use it for school and it works wonderfully. The only problem is that the zipper gets stuck a lot buts it's an easy fix.

and obsessively debating each feature our daughter chose this backpack over many, many others. This backpack replaces her last northface backpack which was simply done after 5-6 years of heavy, daily, student abuse. She picked this color and it is just the right combo of neutral and color pop. This one will go to college with her and likely into the future. Very happy with this choice.

I use the backpack for books and supplies for school. I am very happy with it so far. It is highly functional and a perfect size. The color in the picture is a little different than it looks in person. The off white area in the picture is actually silver. It is a very cool looking combination either way. I would purchase this backpack again.

Mostly used in airline travel, and long weekend trips. Well made.

This is probably the best backpack I've ever owned. It's clear a lot of thought was put into the design. It's extremely comfortable, adjustable, and there are pockets galore to give everything a proper place. The 15in laptop sleeve is great too, it holds my Macbook securely, while keeping it elevated from the ground for protection (another fantastic design concept). My only disappointment was I ordered the backpack in hydro green, and when it arrived I thought they sent the wrong one. The hydro green looks NOTHING like the picture. The backpack is extremely blue. I've asked several other people their opinion, and they agree it is not green, and looks nothing like the advertised photograph. I know this is a minor detail, but it was pretty disappointing.

Great for hike up lava rock volcano

I received this as Christmas present, however it was on my "wish list" for a long time! Not only is it presentable but it is also extremely durable. I do not really have any complaints, besides the stiffness/size, but you easily can get used to it. In general, I would recommend it and it is worth the buy.

Great backpack, roomy and comfortable!

I am a first year student at University and this backpack travel with me on my bike sun or rain. The padded were great because I felt very comfortable with heavy books inside when I bike in campus. The only negative I have for this backpack is the high price buto it's worth it.

Purchased this as gift for granddaughter. Her request was for this backpack due to large padded slot for laptop, light in weight and stylish!

Ok, I can not describe it because I bought it for my 15 year old niece but I can tell you this, she went over it with a fine tooth comb, looked in every pocket, pulled on all the straps, and checked out how it fit her and she absolutely loves it.

Fits what i carry daily to class and weekend trips.

I use it daily to carry my load to and from school. It is comfy but roomy and seems durable. I will use it on hiking trips too and on daylong trips
