I purchased this for my high school aged daughter. She carries all of her books each day for school. This bag is really well made, comfortable and attractive. The only problem is the size. Unfortunately my daughter had to go back to using her older, larger bag.

I use this product in my everyday basis, to do school work, to travel and to work.

My last NF bag was a Recon from 20 years ago. I finally decided to replace it with this. I like the laptop compartment. It fits my 19" ThinkPad. The main compartment isn't huge though. I like the organizer pouches, but honestly wished there were even more since I don't carry a separate purse if I take this bag to work/school. Super comfortable to wear.

It's comfortable on. My complaint is that the pockets are too narrow and when you have a laptop or iPad in it (which I always do when traveling) it falls over when standing up. If it had a little bit wider/deeper base I think it would be better. I really like the color and the way it looks, and wearing it is fine, it's just when you set it down that it's very annoying.
I also wouldn't have paid full priceway too expensive, so thanks to North Face for the discount for healthcare workers.

I got this pack as an every day bag, back and forth to work, to carry on trips to the zoo, hiking trails, etc. I don't like it as a daily bag since it falls over and has a tight fit. Recommend for packing in water , snacks and whatever else for day trips since it holds things in well and has nice thick padding against your back.

I bought this bag for hiking. It gave me more book bag vibes for school than a daypack for hiking trips. I would have loved this backpack in high school.

A gift for my daughter. Nice looking and roomy. Developed a small tear within first few days. Question long term durability.

Has tons of pockets. Built with quality material, stylish, and comfortable straps with lots of padding for back and shoulders. However, not roomy enough so I can't fit binders when my bag is filled with text book and laptop.

I love the look of the bag. It's very comfortable too! I think I probably should've spent a little bit more to get a backpack that I could roll up clothes and put inside easier though. Sometimes I like to stuff a jacket or an extra pair of sweatpants inside. This backpack doesn't really lend itself to well to that sort of usage. However it's great if you're just carrying a laptop and a couple books. Maybe just not as good for bulkier items.

I'm a health professional and gym rat. I use this bag to carry my personal computer since we can document on our personal devices and am able to carry my gym clothes as well so that I don't have to lug around an additional bag with me everyday on top of this one and my lunch box. I would highly recommend this as it has several pockets to help me keep organize and appreciate the padded pockets to keep my valuables safe from getting scruffed or what not. The cup holders are awesome too as I can carry my 32 oz. Yeti mug and 26 oz. Yeti water bottle. The whistle is also a nice touch cause you never know when you may need to draw attention to you. The additional elastic pocket up front is nice just in case I need to carry a jacket for potential inclement weather. Personally, it has gotten the job done for me for the past several months of owning and can not highly recommend this anymore!

Very great product, love all of the features. However it is not very durable and you need to be gentle with it, especially the carabiner holders.

Backpack weirdly compresses things to a skinny fit in the bag. Straps not so comfortable on shoulders bc they're plastic at their core. Mesa rose color is very vibrant/pretty.

I bought two these for my boys in high school. Great durability, great pockets, only complaint is that it is a little too narrow front to back to put multiple books/binders in along with a laptop.

The bag falls forward when on a flat surface due to the stiff back panel. But other than that I love it. Lots of room and easy to keep organized with all the pockets.

I love this backpack, but after only 3 months of using it, the backpack strap on the right side has torn. It is slowly ripped more and more, so I am hoping it doesn't rip completely. Other than that, love the design and look of the backpack.

Love the fact the color is black with color accents instead of the other way around, my last Recon got dirty fast and it was easy to see. It's great for carrying my laptop and books around for class, the one downside is that once you fill up the main compartment it's harder to fit things inside the pockets in the front pocket. It's roomy but compact so it's nice for carrying everything without looking like a pack mule.

I use this product strictly for school college. It is a great backpack and holds all of my textbooks, computer, and whatever else I need. Comfortable padding so heavy textbook don't weight it down. Only con is the the navy shows dirt really easy.

The bottom of the main large pouch is difficult to access if the upper front section is full.
