Good boot. 8.5’s a bit snug, but the 9’s were too big and were returned. Usually wear a 9 in sneakers.

I wanted something fairly lightweight to wear to work that would keep my feel warm and dry through the 1/4 mile parking lot full of snow. These fit the bill perfectly. They fit great and and were comfortable right out of the box. I was pleasantly surprised by the arch support. The soles are very sticky, even on wet floors. Another nice surprise. I am able to stay comfortable while being on my feet wearing these for most of the day. They look to be well made, but time will tell. I could see these being good for a light hike or car camping trip, but I don't know if I would trust them on a Boundary Waters or backpacking trip. Mine tend to want to roll my foot inwards, which I have never noticed with any other show before.

Nice Shoes , have used in the past , when i did not have feet pain , they were comfortable then . Have to use now during traveling or long walks to find out whether it still has the magic .

My first pair of timberlines, and I love them. True to my normal size, and very comfortable. Unlacing is fast and easy. They look great with jeans and shorts, and being waterproof is a plus. Ordered on Saturday night and go them on Monday - how Zappos does this I don’t know.

I love Timberland boots! I'm very hard to fit and these boots fit better than any other brand I've tried. If I have any complaint its the arch support but I have extremely high arches and have to add support.

Ordered a 9.5 - medium width, the box was marked as such but the boots felt very tight. They were ordered to replace the exact boot in a 9.5 medium that I use for work. I put them on and they were too narrow. I checked the boots and the size showed they were a 9.5 but the width was not marked. I match them up sole to sole with my old boots and the soles were clearly 1/4 inch narrower. I also noticed the old boots were made in Vietnam (appeared to be a higher quality) and the new boots were made in China (they just didn't appear to be as well made). Very disappointed that the quality of this boot has really taken a nose dive. I guess I'm on the search for a new boot. I do want to say that I am a longtime customer and ZAPPOS is an excellent company to deal with and that my poor experience with these particular boots does nothing to change that. I will order from them again, but it wont be for these boots.

it is November 2018, I am fixing to order these boots again to replace a pair that I originally ordered back in December 2010. These boots were not worn everyday until they became the only pair I had left, so that added to the longevity. I had and used a couple other brands of boots that I tossed out as they worn out beyond their usefulness. Of the all the boots I had, these are the only ones I am ordering an exact replacement for. They are a comfortable and rugged boot. They fit well and don't hurt the feet if you happen to be in them all day. I used mink oil form time to time to soften, condition and water proof the leather. They have been used for some hiking, working around the farm, hunting, fishing from muddy river banks and riding the motorcycle. I have been happy enough with them to get another pair.

Great pair of boots, true to size!

These Timberland boots were an overall loose fit, however, I do have a slightly narrow foot, but they were too long as well. I wear a size 10 medium and usually don't have any issues buying this size online. I thought the tongue material was cheap, it wrinkled and folded when I tried to tighten the laces. The back of the boot was very stiff and uncomfortable up against my ankle. I returned these boots after trying them on in exchange for a different brand.

I've been buying these for years and thankfully they haven't changed them. Great all-around boot that I primarily use as a work boot. For light hiking I wear the Timberland Chocorua Trail Mid Waterproof, which is a very similar boot. So, if you are looking for a truly waterproof boot (this one is not) then it is a good choice. They both fit well right out of the box with literally no break-in. The upper is relatively soft (but durable) and the foot bed/insole is firm but still supportive but may be lacking in arch support for some. The Chocorua is noticeably warmer with a slightly tighter fit.

The BEST boots I've ever owned. Just bought a new pair and they feel awesome-- even right out of the box. I would recommend for work, snow, hiking, or even comfortable walking shoes.

Very attractive shoe. Nice leather. Not very cushy inside, but am planning on wearing with two pairs of socks, so that will take care of the comfort part, I hope.

Use these for work all the time

I think it's obvious from the other reviews that this is an excellent boot. I have owned four pairs of these boots over the course of twelve years. I just received a new pair, and Timberland has maintained the level of quality from the first pair I owned. I generally don't write reviews, but when a company with the heart that Zappos has asks me to do something such as write a review, I feel it's the least I can do in return for all the awesomeness they bring to the world in terms of their customer service--in this area they have surpassed excellent in that they have brought, on several instances, a humanness to it. Thank you for the boots and your overall awesomeness Zappos!

This is a fantastic comfortable boot. Many of the people reviewing this shoe use its for work and say it’s incredibly comfortable and I have to agree. I work on my feet 10-12 hours a day and I feel very little discomfort. I think anyone standing 12 hours a day for s bound to feel some discomfort but it’s not because these boots. In my case it’s that I’m diabetic but these are more comfortable that boots I purchased specifically for Diabetics so these are outstanding. Zappos provides outstanding customer service that provides fast shipping and Zappos aims to please. Thanks Zappos????

Shipping was lighting fast on Zappos and the price was right. The shoes I received appeared used but no problem. Zappos immediately shipped me a new pair no questions asked. Fantastic customer service. The pair I received used were in excellent condition except some light scuffs on the toe and Zappos donated these to me for the trouble. I was hesitant to try these on because I’m a bit germaphobe and wasn’t to keen about putting my foot in a shoe someone else wore but didn’t want to wait for my replacement pair to arrive. I must say these are sooooo comfortable!!!! Plenty of room in the toe box also that’s a plus because winter is not too far and will still fit nicely with thick socks. Because I’m diabetic I always order 1 size up to avoid any rubbing due to some shoes running small. I’m glad I did so because these run about 1\2 size small (my opinion). I just like a bit of extra room in front so for most it’s true to size. Excellent boot. Outstanding customer service. I love Zappos. I’ll never order from amazon as long as I can find the shoe at Zappos. I’m new to Zappos but their customer service has made me a customer for life.

Seemed to be a bit larger than the specified size but I use inserts and that made them a perfect size for my feet. These are very light weight but the construction seems plenty durable. I'll need to break them in before I can really comment on their comfort.

Simple good style and an excellent fit. I have very high arches and had to put in my own orthotic insoles. I wear 15EE’s which are difficult to find and more difficult in accommodating high arch insoles. These do very nicely. I’ve not had the opportunity to trail hike in them yet but I am sure they will be fine. Very good boots at a very good price. I don’t see the need to spend more for any more supposed performance.

This is my 2nd pair. Showing lots of wear after many years. Soles started peeling off, so time for new pair. Most comfortable boots I own. Only issue is that the pair I ordered had the wrong size boot in the right size box.

i’m sad that i’m coming to ends with this pair of boots. they’ve lasted me well over a year with hard abuse coming from delivering furniture all day to walking mailbox to mailbox in rain! great comfort and style .. i wish they came in black!!
