Earth Shoe Classic - The comfort and price are hard to beat for this previously, hard to find shoe.

Well, not quite what I expected- I thought these would be the answer to my back problems, but all I got was a different set of back problems. I have degenerative disks, so perhaps my problem is a bit different. My hip pains and small back problems didn't resolve, and the instep [mine is very pronounced] seems worse for wearing the shoes: now, having said that, I do believe these shoes might be good for someone, just not in my case.

Earth Classic Review - Where to begin? This shoe seems to posess a very refined sense of style, a subdued charm, a certain je ne sais quoi quality, that makes it simply irresistible! And to add to it's mystique functional posture correction and support, you have a smash hit on your feet, as it were. An absolute classic. Hence the name , I'm sure. Perfect in every detail. Ciao!

The best shoe I have EVER worn - We recently went on vacation to Colorado, and we did a lot of walking. Now I have a heel spur, and I wore my classic Earth shoes . At the end of the day my husband asked me how my foot felt and if I needed asprin, and I said "no", my feet felt great . These shoes are wonderful. I got a mens shoe, because I have wide feet, and I love them, thank you Zappos for offering such a wonderful shoe.

Better than ever - I first wore Earth shoes back in the 1960's. Then for a long time, I couldn't get them. Now, thank goodness, I can...and they're even better than before; more stylish and more comfortable.

Great Look, Durable and Very Comfortable - The negative heel is great, it is a very comfortable shoe, however the width of my feet made breaking it in a little uncomfortable. But now, they are superb! The look is classic and they breath well, meaning no stink.

fast - Came in 12 hours, awesome service. The shoes rock, but need shoe polish to manage all the scuffing.

Better with time - The Earth Classic is a great shoe. Don't be disconcerted if at first they don't feel perfect. The negative heel and large arch take some getting used to and the sole takes a little softening, but within 1-2 weeks they'll be the most comfortable shoes you've ever owned.

black Earth Classic - I like this shoe very much. It's so comfortable that I almost forget that I'm wearing them. I ended up with a 1/2 size bigger than I wanted cause Zappos didn't have the right size, but I ended up keeping them anyway cause the extra length didn't seem to make me any difference. Highly recommended.

Earth Shoes - Good service (fast) and at a better price than the manufacturer gave. I am highly satisfied with this company.

Help for Plantar Fascitis - After almost one year of suffering with plantar fascitis, I have found some relief. I have read the testimonials online of plantar fascitis sufferers who reported that the earth shoe helped them. I have had two pairs of orthotics, cortisone injections, night splints, ice, and consulted very well known podiatrists in my region. They all recommend surgery because all else has failed. I have had the shoes for three weeks, have tossed the orthotics and have found relief with the earth shoes. It is not a total cure but the redistribution of my foot bed has taken the pressure off the heel spur. The shoe could be a little more comfortable but I plan to order the athletic shoe to help in these regards. The sizing is a little different so when I order my next pair I may order two in different sizes to make sure that I may not need a size smaller due to the way the shoe is sized.

Meets my special need - I had problems with my Achilles tendon because of insufficient stretching and my son advised me to try the Earth shoes because of their relatively lower heels. I have already noted a marked improvement after a few weeks. Besides,the shoes are looking quite elegant.

Plesently pleased - I thought that I would try something different. My feet are narrow and shallow and long. Most shoes I have to purchase small to get a snug fit. But my toes get mashed against the end as the shoes break in. That can't happen with Earth shoes. With the heal lower than the front of the foot, gravity pulls into the rear of the shoe. The leather is top grade and does not need break-in time. The colors are great and the comfort is fantastic. I am very happy with Earth shoes.

Loved 'em in the '70's, these are just as comfortable - Ok, I was a bit surprised to discover that Earth Shoes were being made again. I wore through at least 2 pair back in the 70's and remember their comfort. I ordered a pair in the classic style and was very pleased at how quickly they arrived. My biggest concern was if they would fit true-to-size. They do and they feel GREAT! I won't say that I had flashbacks, but my feet remember the feel and I feel like I'm walking on pillows. Can't wait to order another pair. They really are great, a different fit and feel than my Birks.

Earth: A refreshing new feel for your foot! I like the negative heel displacement design. It more aptly contours to the natural shape of the foot reducing stress on the lower back. If you ever have lower back pain from or while standing, try this shoe! It also looks great!

Great Shoes - I gave these to my 18 year old son as a gift. He loves them, wears them all the time. My husband and I used to wear Earth shoes years ago and I am happy to see such a large selection at Zappos. I will be ordering a pair for myself and my husband soon. Zappos customer service is fabulous.

Glad They Are Back - I had a pair of Earth Shoes in the 70's and they lasted many years, I hope the pair I just purchased do the same. My new Earth shoes are just as comfortable as the ones I wore out in my high school days.

Love the shoe - I purchased this shoe for my husband, and both of us love the shoe. It is very comfortable, and looks very nice on. It is a very well made shoe, and I will not only purchase earth shoes again, but will also buy from Zappos again, definitely, because their service is the best I have ever had. Very fast, and very dependable. I have recommended Zappos and earth shoes to my family and friends.

A Classic Returns! I have been waiting for this shoe to come back for thirty years now. I owned a pair of the original Earth Shoes in the seventies and have been looking for another pair ever since the originals wore out after ten years of dedicated service to my feet. The new Earth Shoe keeps the best elements of the original design and improves where improvement was needed. Finally, again, I have a shoe that is shaped like a foot.

Feels Great - I feel like I'm wearing slippers at work. The shoe really is comfortable and I have bought a second pair. Zappos has great service.

Earth Classic works well...even for wide feet. I usually have to buy eeee shoes and was reluctant to try these shoes, but with a little stretching at the toe, they are fine. I have arthritis, and my leg goes numb to the knee within twenty feet or so when I walk. With these shoes on I walked two blocks before I noticed there was no numbness. Amazing. My son was at the house the day my shoes came and tried them on. He loved them too, so we bought him a pair. We are both very happy with the shoes and would buy more, especially from such a great company as Zappo's. Great, fast service and terrific prices. We tell everyone we know about the site.

This was my first pair of Earth shoes. The shoes have kind of an earthy, hippie, funky look about them, but the effect is altogether pleasant and unassuming. The best part is the way they feel on your feet. There shoes have quality leather insoles and excellent arch support. The negative heel feels a bit strange at first, but I soon ceased to notice it. I think the negative heel, in conjunction with the good arch support, make this a very comfortable shoe.

My husband had a pair of negative heel shoes years ago made by a Canadian company called Roots. He remembered the shoes as being very comfortable and was pleased when I found these shoes on Zappos. After they came in he felt they were comfortable and almost immediately wore them to work, where they were comfortable at first. After a few days, he realized that the arch support was so high that he felt his foot was being forced to roll outward (supinate). His feet do have a small tendency to do this, but he felt it was much worse with the shoes, although the negative heel did relieve the pain he was feeling in the sole of his foot by his toes.We couldn't return them at this point, so we bought a pair of inexpensive arch supports from the drugstore and put them in the wrong shoes. (the left side in the right side, the right side in the left side). This kept his feet from rolling out, and after a day or two the cheap supports flattened out a little, and the shoes are now very comfortable. For those who wonder why we didn't just get one of the heel inserts that are supposed to correct for this sort of problem, the insert raised his heel to the point that he didn't get the needed pain relief from the negative heel design of the shoe.Sometimes a crazy idea works great.
