I have not worn the Melton much at this point, but so far they are a beautiful and comfortable shoe. As someone else familiar with the shoe recently said to me, "They are perfection...like a hand crafted golf iron."

Stiff shoes that will break in after iwear them about 4 weeks and I get 5 blisters on each foot. After that a beautiful pair of very professional looking shoes. Got any easy way to brak these shoes in?

Due to Type 2 Diabetes and foot surgery, my left foot requires a wider fit shoe; I thought dressing stylishly came to an abrupt end; fortunately, J and M manufactures a classic sylish lace up in EE and EEE. I needed the EEE. I ordered three styles in BLK, BUR and BR. I cannot wait for the dress loafers and monk straps to become available in EE and EEE widths.

I’ve had several pair of this shoe over the last 6 years, the first pair being my go to pair several days per week. I easily spend 12+ hours in them and they are incredibly comfortable. A short break in period for a lifetime of comfort and support. Take care of them and they’ll last- my first pair is on its third full heel and sole.

This is a great shoe and fair value. Take care if it and it will last a long time. One pair I have is on its 3rd full sole and heel, is sooo broken in I can spend 14+ hours on my feet without a thought. I have a second pair on this same journey and a pair on the bench waiting to join the rotation. J&M: please don’t change a thing- you’ve found perfection!
