I find that I like to alternate between these and the Keen line. These hold up better over time than the Keen's, and are a little warmer as they do not have any mesh. They are comfortable and accurate on sizing in my experience. The suede finish on them can make them susceptible to getting dirty, especially when you have contact with fluids, but these are a good, long lasting, comfortable work shoe.

I purchased these shoes because my job required travel to warehouses where steel toes were required. However, I didn't want a pair of boots and so found these shoes. These were the most comfortable steel toed shoes I was able to find and have found them also to be quite durable. I still prefer a pair of running shoes, but when you need that extra protection of a steel toe, these shoes are hard to beat.

As someone who usually alternates between 6" ST boots and All-Star lo-tops, I decided that for the summer I would give a ST "sneaker" a try. The arch felt a little far forward on my one foot, but that is because my feet are a half-size apart. Moreover, I have low ankles, which these shoes cut into the moment I put them on. Such a shame.

Glad I got the wide version. Fits perfect. Surprisingly comfortable for a steel toe shoe. Very pleased. Zappos was fast!

Really liked the looks and how it felt on my feet. However, when I wore them around the house the first night I got them, the footbeds had wrinkles in them that began to really bug me. Had to return them rather than take the chance on them.

This is my second pair of Timberland Steel Toes and I find them to be the most comfortable ones out there, as well as highly durable. These have very large and aggressive lugs in the tread and around the side; a very industrial look. One shoe took a couple weeks to break in, as the top would buckle and pinch the top of my foot. That seems to have worked itself out, though, as a month in now, I don't notice it. I have owned Sketchers and Red Wing steel toes and found both to be lacking. I would highly recommend Timberland shoes.

Overall a good choice.
I've had these shoes for a short time and they seem light and comfortable. The toe box is nice and roomy. The tongue can irritate my foot at times but it's easily fixed by taking the shoe off and repositioning the tongue. I found them to definitely run a half size larger (so I bought a half size smaller than my usual).

Your are not going to look cool in. Anything more than a fast walk they become uncomfortable. After standing on me feet for 9 hours my feet were sore and tired. However, not bad for a steal toed shoe, you could do much worse.

Timberland Mudsill -
I'm a mechanic in the heat of So. Florida, this shoe is cool for the feet in the heat. It has good traction for slippery floors and is comfortable while standing and walking for long periods. I highly recommend this shoe to people that have to wear safety shoes in the workplace.

I wear an 11. So I ordered an 11W. But It was too big. Then I ordered a 10W. The 10W fits well a little snug. No arch support. But I still like it.

Good outdoor work shoe.
Solid outdoor work boot option for those who like low-cut boots. Fit is good - I find the arches to be a little severe for my taste. Traction is excellent, and mositure resistance is very good as well. Tread pattern is a little agressive for what I need, but gets the job done. Overall, a solid choice.

Unfortunately i have to return these. I tried em in a 14...no way. Tried em in 15 wide and the toe box is still extremely narrow and my pinky toe tends to rub the edge of the toe protection and they were also about 1/2” to big in length. I wear a 15 in nike and new balance and some boots, few shoes i can wear a 14. It is ALL about the toe box area for my foot personally. I can find 100 shoes that fit everywhere but the toes, thats the killer. My merrell all out blaze with wide toe box are my number 1s but i need a protective toe for work at times. I have a pair of the Timberland Titan XL boots and their great so i tried these cause i wanted a low top leather shoe but the toe boxes are no where close to similar. I also have a pair of the timberland disruptor in a size 14 and their awesome as well in the toe area. Yall with feet this size know how difficult it is to locate a shoe/boot that fits and feels good in a retail store? Good Luck! Thats where Zappos is my go to for footwear, they are phenominal. Been buying and sending back for years lol. Its a pain in the butt having to order, try on, decide to keep or ship back and get a different size or scrap that shoe idea all together and get something else. I commend zappos and their service they provide for my difficult to find footwear needs. Thanks yall

Mud "grabber" Low-
Much more comfortable and lighter than my other steel toed shoes, but, I am much happier with my most recent timberland purchase. The titanium toed Titan 6". If you are considering, go with the Titan. Much lighter, much wider, best ever.

Excellent first impression -
This shoe looks awesome. The first day I wore them they felt great and I was really happy. The more I wear them though the less I want to wear them. Timberland advertised that even though they were steel toe there was plenty of toe room. That is NOT accurate. My toes feel very confined when I have socks on. The other problem is that the nubs on the bottom of the shoe are so great at providing an enormous amount of traction that I trip over them when walking on certain holey surfaces. Think about what it would be like to walk around in rubber cleats. I can't wait for winter. I doubt I will slip on the ice in these shoes.

Comfortable, but not durable -
Extremely comfortable, but not very durable. There are stress points on the sides caused by the steel toe (which is very nice, roomy and light) which tear rather quickly. I still wear them though, since they're so comfortable.

Didn't get a chance to break them in at work before lace hook broke. I would have likely been happy with them as work shoes, but lace hook breaking within first hour of using them at work means a poor review. Especially since now I have to wait two (2) or three (3) weeks until I get a replacement pair...

These were perfect shoes, I thought, a hybrid between a work boot and a tennis shoe. I work in a metal fab shop that involves 4 miles of walking each day. After the first month I noticed a small tear on the side of the shoe. The cause looks as if one shoe is a little wider which causes a bulge of material off the side that eventually separated and now 2 months later there is a hole that my sock can be seen through. I have bought Timberland Pro's for about 7 years, there has never been a time that I would not recommend the same pair of shoes to a potential buyer until now.

Too narrow -
Bought these shoes 2 sizes too big and the wide version. Steel toe was still to narrow. Don't be fooled by the 'wide' version, they are very narrow. Zappos.com is great though!!

I have been trying to break into this shoes for a week, but it's just as hard and painful as the first day and it so uncomfortable that I am starting to have blasters on my feet.

I purchased these shoes and they did not even last 2 weeks I am currently deployed. I was counting on these to make it 4 months. I will be sending them back the eyelet broke 7 days after having the shoes.

I was looking for a low, grippy shoe. Looks really ugly in RL and is a size too big. Too bad I wore them in the mud.

Both pairs ripped on the top within a few weeks
