Shoe is very stiff out of the box. I wore shoe for approximately 2 weeks before they felt comfortable. The shoe seems to provide good support. Maybe this shoe will improve with time but as of now (three weeks) I would not purchase this shoe again.

Great Boot - I haven't worn steel toes in a long time because they were so heavy. This is a great boot! It isn't too heavy and it is a very comfortable fit. Perfect size.

Very comfortable – AFTER I went up 1/2 size. My foot is wide front, narrow heel so it often takes some fiddling around with all-day boots, both work and hiking. But these boots look like quality workmanship and materials.

Rough & Ready - This boot fits true to size and is very comfortable considering the rough desert terrain that I wear them in. The placement of the hook for the strings at the ankle is especially a nice feature that allows a snug fit, yet allowing for continued blood circulation. Shy of inserting orthotics, it's a perfectly comfortable and durable boot so far.

Great pair of work boots! I bought these boots for my fiancé because his feet were always burning and aching even after hours of not wearing his old boots. These boots he can leave on for hours after working and his feet are not burning or hurting anymore. He absolutely loves them. They were definitely worth the money.

Great Investment! A++ First thing I would like to thank Zappos.com for the fastest shipping I have ever seen. It was literally shipped on Monday morning and it came at my house Monday afternoon. I have been looking for a good pair of boots and I came across these. Some of the reviews made me re-think at first but I decided to buy them anyways. I work 10 hour shifts and after about the 2nd day they were already broken in. The more I wear them the more comfortable they get. If anybody thinks these boots are heavy then they shouldn't be wearing boots at all because these are pretty light weight. After buying the black ones I want to buy another pair just for outside of work activities due to its comfort and durability.

Work boots - Timberland puts out a quality boot and this pair is another one. I work in a food plant and I am on my feet all day and the boots feel good on my feet.

My boyfriend loves them! My boyfriend is a union plumber working on a very large project on the Las Vegas strip. He just got these boots and loves them! He is usually a 10.5D and that size fit perfectly right out of the box. He said there was no break-in time at all. After 1 day of work they were already filthy and looked like he had them for awhile, but that's the nature of the job! Overall, a great buy, especially for the price.

Excellent work boot - Felt like your old pair of jeans when you first put them on. Needed only minimum time for break-in. I've worn out my old Timberland hikers so with plans of doing a patio on the house; I thought steel toed boots might be safer handling the heavy stones and lumber. These boots look better when dirty!

Awesome - I'm on my feet a lot and these boots are extremely comfortable, especially considering they're steel-toed. They need to be broken in a bit to get some flexibility, but that's true with any boot, really.

Excellent - I wear these almost everyday... not for work, but they're one of the most comfortable pairs of boots I've ever owned.

I use Timberland Pro boots for work. This boot is replacing a previous boot that is the same. They outlast Redwings and other boot my friends use by far. I went 3 pairs of laces and the only part that wore out was the pad around the ankle. I used them for 5 years. The new ones are not as comfortable, but I think they will be after they are broken in.

Best boots around, so comfortable! My feet are a little narrow, so I like that this shoe isn't too wide for me. I love these shoes, I'm in welding school and up on my feet for 6 hours a day doing metalwork and these boots are amazingly comfortable. I used to get pains in my feet from my old boots. I did a lot of lifting and moving also in these and they support your foot amazingly. Don't hesitate to get this boot, I'm so happy with mine!

Pretty good work boot - Part of the construction of the boot jams right into the arch of your foot. Works pretty good for 1/2 days only at first, then gets a little better for the whole day once they get worn in a bit.

Work boot - Once boot is broken in, these are great boots. Painful breaking in process for wide feet people, especially by the bridge of your feet and heel.

The best work boots period! This is me second pair of the Pit Boss steel toe's. I am a Package Driver so my shoes go through a lot of wear and tear. I have tried all the brands including Red Wing. I have spent up to $175 on a pair of boots until I found these. The comfort of these boots is unreal. They do not feel like steel toes. They are heavy though but that goes for any steel toe boot. The craftsmanship is excellent. These boots are worth twice their price. For my line of work, I have to replace my boots every 6 months. Under non extreme work conditions, these boots will last much longer. The first thing that usually wears out on boots is the sole. Amazingly, the sole on these boots are so well made that my last pair's soles were intact. I highly recommend these Timberland's. You’re taking a recommendation from somebody who wears a BROWN uniform all day. I spend 12 hours a day running in and out, so I can attest to what comfort really is. As always, thank you Zappos!

Great Boot! This boot is comfortable and good looking. The support is excellent and the light weight of the boot makes even a steel toed boot easy to wear. As always, the Zappos amazingly quick shipping will keep me coming back!

This boot is exactly what we were looking for. The size was right. It has the features required for the construction work done. The last pair lasted much longer than anticipated which is why we looked so hard to find the same one when replacement was needed.

Great Boots - This is the 2nd pair of these boots I've purchased for my husband. He is on his feet most of the day and he absolutely loves these boots.

Tough boots - These are the toughest boots I've owned. Just ordered my third pair. The tough leather makes them a little tough on the feet at first but once they are broke in you will have no problems spending long hard days in these boots. I am a pipefitter and have tried Redwings, Doc's, cat and what ever else and nothing is as tough as these. Both previous pairs the sole started coming apart on around a year of service but these boots see it all. Water, acid, alkali, heat, cold, oil, grinding the toe in to the concrete. I will keep buying these as long as they make'em. More comfortable then my tennis shoes. Stand on concrete all day long with no aches and pains. ONE TOUGH BOOT

Quality plus Price Equals SATISFATION - My girlfriend bought me a pair Pit Boss Steel Toes a couple of years ago because I work in Manufacturing and Construction, and usually spend 10- 12hrs a day on my feet. I have wide feet, I still wear those shoes now because of their comfort and durability. The price isn't bad either. My only suggestion is to smooth out the 4th eyelet, so they don't cut the strings (like one of the other reviewers mentioned).

Timberland steel toes the only way to go - I need steel toed boots that are rugged for work. These boots look good and can provide the toughness I require. My only complaint(not really) is that they seem a little narrow, and I have pretty narrow feet, so even for me they were a tad tight, but overall good.

Good Boots - the boots look great. They are a little large not quite a size but probably half a size larger. They are very stiff in the ankles. The ankle support rubs ankle. It took a couple days to loosen up, great boots but don't plan on buying and wearing all the time right away. Need to wear them in for a couple days before you wear them all the time.
