I bought these for my husband. He normally likes the "classic" Timberland boot. But it seems whoever is in charge of design thought it would be awesome to have the boot go up over the ankle. This is a horrible idea. I ended up getting this pair for him instead because they didn't go too far over his ankle. Great boot. Comfy. And doesn't go too far over his ankle. Don't change that. We'll probably get 15 or so years out of these boots like we did the last ones.

I originally purchased this boot in a size 13, width D, but they felt too small and narrow - smaller and narrower than the size 13 boots they were meant to replace, which were also a bit on the small side for me (I wear a 13 in dress shoes, 14 in casual/gym shoes). I exchanged the 13 D for a size 14 EE (my first time ever having to order a wider shoe/boot) and the 14 EE boots are more comfortable, if a little on the big side. I think I'm actually a 13.5 but it's hard to find any shoes in that size, so if you're in the realm where half sizes don't really exist then I'd size up and maybe get the wider version. I only wear work boots while doing yard work/DIY home repair stuff, but I'll wear them for several hours at a time and my old boots were too small and made my feet hurt. I've only worn these twice for more than a couple of hours and they feel much better, if a bit on the big side. I don't like my boots to have too much flash - just plain lines and useful features. These boots match that description, save for the patch near the heel. But again, these boots are for function, not style.

Will use initially for casual wear and eventually make it a work boot. Upon trying them on, the left boot feels about a half size smaller than the right....have not experienced that before....will know more after they are broken in. Best order and delivery service I have experienced with any online purchase!

Its fits great but the width of the shoe was a tad bit narrower that expected. They're really snug at this point but might cause problems down the road.

It's alright for work boots. I bought them for more of a casual wear. I wouldn't recommend you walking around all day in them unless you have some sort of gel support. They are a more compact looking shoe compared to the regular Timberlands but all in all they are cool.

I do landscaping work for a living, which means I'm always looking for shoes that can handle everything from ice melt to mud to grass and heavy equipment regulations. Did a lot of research and was really impressed by the reviews for this one, so I bought a pair. Well, despite triple checking the measurements the website provided, the shoes came in too small; my toes ended up all scrunched up. And not by a little, but quite a bit. I probably needed a size to a size and a half larger. So I've sent them back with their nicely included return shipping label and waiting for that to clear before trying again. Other than the sizing, though, I was truly impressed with the shoe. Minus the toe part, it really was comfortable, with nice arch and ankle support. The black colouring was nice, dark, and even (which I realize is a weird thing to worry about, but I look better in blacks rather than browns, so my vanity point appreciates it). And there's just that feeling of quality that came with putting them on. It's hard to describe, but you *know* when something's cheap/badly made. You can just feel it, and these were probably the most quality footwear I've put on in a long time. I'm really looking forward to getting a pair that fits.

I wear this boot all day everyday.I have two very different size feet and leg lengths, the quarter has great support and accommodates a lift and inner-mold.The sole has a great tread pattern that doesn't track dirt badly as I wear them in the house.I would like it to be available waterproof.

Been looking for "wheat" or "camel" colored boots to wear with jeans. I am size 15, but 15s at Boot Barn were too big (how often does THAT happen?). I think 14.5 would be perfect , if they made them. Only had 'em 2 days, so far so good, but little stiff so I hope they break in just a skosh

I returned a 9.5 wide that was too narrow at the toes. I always wear a 9.5 medium and wanted some extra room with thick socks, and the wides were still too narrow. I tried a 10, which was slightly better but then just felt overall too big while still pinching my toes on the sides. Trying another brand. Something has changed with Timberland.

An almost perfect work boot. The only way it can get better is if it was waterproof or if there was a waterproof option of this boot. Overall super comfortable and durable. Just sucks in the rain

This boot is comfortable, I walk on concrete up to 16 hrs a day and my feet are happy. These boots are warm and snug. The bad thing is wear and tear is very rapid.
