Good so far (haven't worn them much yet)
I originally bought the Wolverine Exert 6" Steel Toe Opanka Boot. Found that it ran wide, so I returned them (Zappos makes returns painless). The Timberland PRO Pit Boss runs true to size. Arrived as advertised. I haven't really used them yet (I'm not a professional--I'll be wearing them while doing home projects), but from the fit and solid feel, I anticipate very good wear from these boots. Third time my family has purchased from Zappos--we're totally impressed with its customer service (fast service, free shipping on returns, etc.). Will continue to shop at Zappos.

Great Work Boots - Timberland -
I really liked the boots, although they did take a few days to break in which is normal. After two weeks of wear they are comfortable.

I'm just bought my 4th pair of this boot. I've been wearing this model for 10 years. I wear them 2-3 days per week at an indoor machine manufacturing facility and occasionally outdoors in the woods when splitting wood. My only complaint is that they are very slippery in the cold. I am in excellent shape and very athletic but I have almost fallen multiple times when walking on ice or cold/wet surfaces. The sole loses all grip when it gets cold. Definitely not a good cold weather outdoor boot.

Normal size is size 12 which was too short. No 12.5 available anywhere; straight to size 13 which is too big. Why not half size over 12 even on Timberland site?

This is my second pair. The first pair lasted 8 years in a commercial kitchen. There great. My feet stay dry throughout everything
The down fall is the insoles wearing out rather quickly.replaced with Dr Sholes.

Width was good, but unfortunately, the steel toe was pressing on the top of my foot, became very uncomfortable after a couple of minutes. Without the steel toe, they would have been great.

Probably the best fitting shoe I’ve ever purchased. That being said there is not enough vision so insoles might be needed depending on your size. I’m 250 and need extra support. When you have them tied all the way up the cuff of the boot rubs against your sling irritating the skin.

I've been buying timberland pros for 10 years. But I've always had a problem with the soles falling apart within 8 months. These Pit Bosses finally have a durable sole. Now if they would come with a decent insole...

They are a very stiff boot to start out with but they are true to size for sure. It will take a while to break them in but it seems like a great boot.

Ordered the same size as the Tim’s I’m currently wearing. These were at least an inch longer. Need to order a full size smaller.
Also, they are very heavy.
Nice , thick tread on the sole and they do look good.
Kind of tall on the leg as well. Goes well above the ankle.

I have been wearing the Pit Boss without the steel toe for the last couple of years. I get about 1.5 years out of them and I feel I get my money's worth. Did try the steel toe once. Never again.

It only took 2 weeks to break these in, the material on the top by the ankle was the hardest to break in, but now they are comfortable

I mainly purchased these boot under a recommendation to help with my plantar fasciitis. The support and comfort are great. Seem to fit tight so order wider than other brands. Also wish the boot was offered in an 8" .

These boots are high quality stuff . But it seems the Right boot for this specific type of Timbs has problems with the Achilles tendon cushion being too stiff or not cut right. I have to use tape
