I have big feet. It is hard to find shoes to fit big feet. Zappos makes it easier. I cannot buy shoes locally, I have to order them. I have been wearing Timberlands since the 1970's and for my money theses are the best on the planet. Comfortable and serviceable.

Lasted 2 years in a refinery environment walking on catwalks and climbing ladders. Still were wearable but the tread was pretty worn down

I bought a pair of these exact boots about 4 years ago that were comfortable since day 1. I had zero issues with them and was VERY happy. The only reason I replaced them was because the soles were worn down so low after 4 years of daily use. I never had any problems and told everyone how amazing they were! 2 months ago I bought another pair to replace the worn out pair and well, that was a mistake. I think they must have changed manufacturers or the manufacturing process. They are no longer nearly as comfortable, the back heel rubbed and caused blisters since day 1 and just yesterday a grommet broke off (one of the metal ones!!!!). Very disappointed. Now I will have to send back for replacement and I guess buy another pair in the mean time as I need them for work.

I have been buying Tim's Pit Boss for years (about 12 pairs). They are a great boot that will wear out on the toes in about a year. I spend a lot of time kneeling on concrete so that is to be expected. The last pair wore a hole in the toe after only 2 months. After contacting customer service they want me send send the boots back to them for inspection. I sent them pictures of the damage to no avail. Now I will be without boots until they decide they were inferior material. Found out they are made in the Dominican Republic. Sorry Timberland - I am disappointed

Absolutely terrible boots! The fit was right but they were about the most uncomfortable boot I have ever worn. I wore them for one day and that's all I could take.

Awesome pair of boots! I work in a restaurant, and am on my feet between 10-15 hours a day. While it seems like overkill to have these boots in a restaurant, they are the most comfortable and durable footwear I have used in that setting. I've tried all of the recommended shoes for hospitality work (Birkenstock clog and boots, timberland restaurant shoes, sneakers, other restaurant shoes, Skechers memory foam etc), but none have been as comfortable as my pit bosses. While I don't have much use for steel toe or electrical resistance, it certainly can't hurt! Seriously, it's hard for me to use any other shoes, even when I'm just out and about. I have Resistors, and these are much more friendly for every-day use, since they dont seem as heavy/bulky. If you work in a restaurant or in a profession where you stand all day, give these a try! I spent so much time doing research, and money, on comfortable shoes that can't stand up to the abuse of every day use. They might look out of place in a restaurant, but that foot pain will be gone! I'm not one to write reviews, but these boots definitely deserve a thumbs up.

Had a pair of these before, lasted me many years working outside, hiking, and work. Bought these from a vendor of Timberland who advertised the 30 day comfort guarantee (which doesn't apply to these boots, FYI). Boots were very very comfortable once over the 1 week or so break in period, but the sole cracked loose from the boot within 2 weeks. I figured it was a fluke, because I was always impressed with Timberland boots in the past (have had other soft toe versions as well), so I requested another pair through Timberland customer service. They sent me another pair and I sent the 1st pair back... broke the new pair in for a week or two, and the soles split off the boot again.
Contacted customer service again, and they said send them back for a refund. I waited for my refund for a couple months, but they never issued it. I contacted them again asking for an update, and they said something to the effect that the person I was talking to had left the company and my refund wasn't processed.
They sent me a refund in the form of a gift card to Timberland.com. After requested an actual refund so I could buy another manufacturer's boot (because of the quality issues Timberland is having), they said they couldn't do that.
Bottom line: I had (2) pairs of boots fail within 2 weeks of standard walking usage in a factory.
I had to chase my "refund" for a couple months.
I am forced to buy another pair of Timberland boots with my "refund".
Very disappointed in their handling of both quality, and refund policy. Will not only not recommend them to others, will account my experience as an extremely dissatisfied customer and recommend they shop elsewhere. Hopefully to a company that treats their customers better...

These boots lasted me 4 years of heavy use. I used them for 2 years of warehouse work and now 2 years of butcher work. I also use them to fish and have fallen in the lake plenty of times. I wear these boots for 45+ hours a week for 4 years. No tears or nothing.

These boots are great! Arch support could be better, but I try to keep in mind that these were designed more for safety, and they do a good job at that. They already feel more flexible and broken in after a week, and I have no problem standing in them for 9+ hours.

Bought these after my PRO helix boots wore out. I drive a forklift so they don't see much hard labor, but on DAY 2 of wearing these I have had one of the lace holes fall apart as well as a lace holder fly off. If I could return these I would. They are also very easy to scratch/scuff up. I have multiple ones from 16hours of work. HOWEVER they are very very comfortable (so far). Will be contacting local store as well as Timberland to try to resolve my issues.

After a year of use the soles start to separate at the inner and outer portion about where the foot bends the sole when walking. These were worn mainly for dress the first year while using an older pair for work. the older pair separated in the same location but was reglued by a local shoe repair shop. The repair on the older pair did not work so now I have two pairs of the same boot that separated the sole in the same spot. I have a new pair that is now just a year old that is still being used for Sunday dress due to the snow and ice in my area. Watch out for the soles. I will not buy another pair of these boots as the one year date only warrantee is useless unless you wear them 24/7.

Likes these boots at first but that changed quickly. My right boot has a larger seem in the back and it rubs the back of my heel raw. I thought it just needed to be broken in but it never wore the boot in just tore up my heel. The leather on the steel toe portion of the boot also wears and gets torn up very easily (pretty much destroyed). Because of this I no longer wear the boots. Wish they would fix these problems the insoles are very comfortable, boot has good grip and feet arent fatigued at the end of a 12 hour shift (other than my heel).

I bought my first pair of PitBoss composite toe while working for an armored car company. I spent hundreds of hours walking, stooping, crouching, jumping, standing, and you you name it --- on concrete and steel floored trucks. Also, I worked in sub-zero weather while wearing these. Granted, I wouldn't recommend them for ice fishing, but if you are moving they will keep your feet warm with proper socks. As far as durability and comfort, they will not let you down. I do remember during the break in period that they were rigid. But, as they formed to my feet, like a baseball glove does, you will love them. I also did some hunting in them and farm work. The leather is high quality , and the laces last forever. I had that first pair for more than ten years. I'm over 250 pounds also, so each movement magnified the stress put on these boots. I also had numerous foot injuries from sports. I have never had any pair of shoes of any style that supported my feet as these do. I have since moved on from less labor intensive jobs. However, I just purchased my second pair of PitBoss! These are brown and soft toe compared to original black ones/composite toe. These look great and I look forward to wearing them for many "foot pleasing" years!
