I work in shipping that recently required steel toe shoes. I was previously using timberland pro mudsill shoe by choice but the durability didn't last. Thought I give timberland one more chance.
The shoe looks amazing, doesn't feel to heavy but well built. The steel toe box has plenty of room. Been using these for two weeks now feel good so far, however I did switch out the insole only because I already had some from my last work boots and they were still Fairly new. My feet do not hurt after a days work, which is always a good sign. One thing I noticed is that my foot feels secure in this boot and I don't have to over tighten the laces either.
Would definetly update on the durability.

A solid boot. I bought these to replace a pair of 10 year old Doc Martens that were finally wearing out. They're comfortable, true to size, and incredibly sturdy.

My Dad remodels homes and I buy these for him every year. He's a size 13 standard width and they're the most comfortable for standing all day, everyday.

My work time is split between the field, the office, and the test lab and these boots are great in any of these settings.
After initial break-in (2-3 days) these boots just keep getting better. I can spend 10-12 hours on my feet and feel great. Excellent comfort and support.
Comfort of mind knowing I am protected from electrical shock, oils, and impacts.
Of course try them on first - everyone's feet are unique. I tried the Direct Attach first and not a good match. You have to find the boots that agree with your feet! I did and these are it!
Even if my company allowance won't cover the entire cost, I will kick in the rest knowing I will have slipper-like comfort all day, everyday.

I bought my first pair probably around a year and a half ago. I put these boots through complete and utter hell. Most of it was land clearing. Being ankle deep in mud and muck. They held up! I'm now in residential construction and they're more than I need.

I bought these for my husband because I read on a website they are rated top 10 shoes/boots for mechanics. He says they are so comfortable. He loves them! True to size.

I need steel toe boots for visiting customer manufacturing facilities. I wanted a boot that was light and comfortable while still providing the protection required. The boots have a nicer sleek look to be work with dress slacks. They fit true to size and are easy to lace up.

I spend 10 hours on my feet every day working at a large industrial manufacturing facility. These type of boots are required (safety toe), but after a shift of work my feet still feel good enough to hit the gym on the way home. I walk through syrup, hot water, milling buproduct, and the boots keep on truckin'. I recommend them. I buy a pair annually due to company allowances and have built myself a nice stockpile of them for years to come.

I have owned at least 5 pairs of these boots for work over many years and love them. they can stand up to all the oils, ink, and solvents that a press room can throw at them. THATS WHY I keep coming back.

These are awesome work boots that took very little time to break in. The fit is dead on and the lacing top notch. I do not just wear them to work, I wear them most everyday. And Zappos had next day shipping. Overall, one of the best footwear choices that I have ever made.

This is a great work boot. I can wear this shoe 12 hrs with no fatigue. The ankle relief in the rear of the boot is a huge plus as bending is a large part of my job.
The only down side and I am not sure that I would complain anyway, is that after a "lifetime" of use the sole tends to separate from the boot. It always seems to be an indicator to purchase a new pair.

I don't think you'll find a steel toe boot that offers as much comfort as these do. I wear wide width boots and these ones provide durability all day at work when I'm on my feet. When I get home, I even sometimes forget I'm still wearing them.

These are well made as all Timberlands but the Steel Toe was too hard and did not give enough for comfort. I will order a different style. As always I was very please with Zappos!

This is my second pair as I use them in a heavy repair truck shop. They last a very long time. And very comfortable.

Two weeks in, good quality, progressive sole when walking(rolls forward well-easy on the legs and feet to push off) very stable, shock absorption is good, not the soft floating on air feeling I was hoping for but not too far off. They are light considering they do look a little clunky with the thick sole and high toe box (can't say I've noticed any increase in room in toe box though) Obviously, as it is with every shoe, ever, arch support is pathetic I think manufacturers put the little bump in the arch area for aesthetics. So I put arch supports in them from day three. I'm a machinist so I stand a lot for hours on concrete and overall I'm happy with these boots.

I wear Pit Boss boots daily. I am a woman who has been buying Pit boss men's boots for 10 years. I discovered Timberland at a higher end department store while looking for a better quality boot than the lesser quality ladies boots I had been purchasing. Since my life revolves around contractor work and a home farm, boots are essential. I sport a 2 x herniated disk, in which the Pit Bosses have the superior support for the degenerative condition. Often when walking on concrete floors with Pit Boss boots it actually feels like my feet are floating, it feels therapeutic to walk on the hard surface. My other boots, tennis shoes, street shoes don't have this quality. Currently I own 6 pairs of Pit Boss and one pair of another Boss line, each has a designated use, with 3 pairs that I rotate out weekly for daily work use. I am purchasing an 8th pair for non work use. I took two pairs to central america to work with the Green Sea Turtles last year, they protected my feet from the sharp cutting fingers on the bottom of the turtles flippers while we were measuring and inspecting these 400lbs gals. The flippers are so strong that your feet are pushed back hard and you loose your balance. One pair of boots has some slight nicks from the flippers. My friend didn't wear Timberland, her boots were ripped up badly. Another time I misjudged and hit my Pit Boss boot with the chainsaw blade, soft toe in 2006. The cut wasn't as deep as I thought it would be as the boots are tough, my toes were saved, I still wear those boots in daily use. Nobody laughs at me for wearing men's boots, they think its wise if they know anything about boots. I am sold on these boots, obviously.
