Great shoes, true to size

This is why I continue to return to Zappos! And these are the shoes that I was expecting last year from Rockport's Oak Knoll Shakespeare Circle series, but was disappointed from the start. More on that later. I have been cursed with a size 11.5 right foot and an 11.0 left and for so many years was a B width (so hard to find), though now in my senior years, width has become almost medium and socks can make up the difference. In reading the reviews of this shoe, I became convinced that the size 11.0 would be my best bet and it sure is. Comfortable from the first steps, with a silent roll off, not the heel plant/sole slap that so often confounds me and rich cordovan aniline dye. The message here, Read The Reviews. Raising my right big toe marks 1/2 inch behind the stitched seam and on the left, 7/8 inch, which is fine. The heel does not slip with regular weight socks. The Rockports came with a "brush off" painted leather, which was cheapo and none too good and were just too large in the 11.5 M size. Never could get happy after adding custom leather liner and an assortment of insoles. I'm 76 and still enjoying classic cordovan penny loafers with creased jeans and khakis. Try these.

Everything OK

A great looking shoe at a very reasonable price. The size was perfect, and the shoes were really comfortable right out of the box. I would definitely order these shoes again. Dick from Chicago
