Very good value - My husband had a business trip coming up and needed a pair of oxblood loafers. We went to a department store and were told that this color was "out" and that only brown loafers were being sold. So this shoe was an emergency purchase and it pleasantly surprised both of us! Very good looking, solid construction, comfortable sole, although my husband reports it takes a while to break in. We read the other reviews and ordered the shoe in "wide," even though my husband's foot is far from wide. Overall very pleased, especially for the price!

sock-eater..... I've worn Nunn Bush shoes for 40+ years .. if there's a problem with them it's that they never seem to wear out. But like all loafer-type shoes there is a small problem .. they are "sock eaters"! Unless you wear knee-high socks with strong electic support socks just keep pulling down into the toes! Wish this "problem" could be solved in the construction of loafers!

Black Penny Loafers - These are about the most uncomfortable shoes that I have ever purchased. I am also displeased with the appearance. They have a very shiny plastic look.

Nice and shiny, the heaviest, stiffest loafer I have every hoisted. No give whatsoever in the sole--like trying to bend a board. Heel rubbed, too.

Great show at a great price! What a great shoe, this is my 4th pair! Out of the box, they are very comfortable. Great shine, means that they look great with a suit. I do about 20 trade-shows a year, and the cushion sole is better than any other shoe on the market! You will love them.

This is a fine, modestly priced loafer. The shoe looks good on the foot, and the quality of manufacture appears to be good. I would say that, for me, the pair seems just a bit larger than the stated size, but not so much to cause concern. Overall, I am very satisfied with the shoe.

Nunn Bush Lincoln review - I received these shoes after looking in the mall for black dress penny loafers and not finding any that either fit or felt comfortable. The Nunn Bush Lincoln's are a bit stiff but I am sure after an initial break in will soften and adapt to the contours of my feet. I have a pair of Nunn Bush's, different style dress loafer, that is made of a softer leather and were comfortable from the start. The Lincoln's are a more traditional dress shoe. Incidentally, the shoes arrived at my door exactly one day after I had entered my order. Zappos service is top notch. Thank you.

Very comfortable but a bit wide - The shoes are a bit stiff out of the box but have become very comfortable after a short break-in. They are a shade wider than normal.

Good Shoes! Shoes fit and look good. I will be ordering more Nunn Bush shoes. They felt good from the first day - no real breaking in time necessary.

I liked the style and look, the length was perfect. However, my toes were pinched on the sides as I have never experienced in shoes like these. I cannot go a size larger as my heel would be slipping. I never have had to go to a wide width in dress shoes before, and at any rate Zappos did not have an EE width in burgundy.

Unfortunately, these shoes are perhaps the most uncomfortable pair of dress shoes I've ever worn, and the right shoe "squeaks" with every step. Of the two pairs I purchased from Zappos, this was the brand I most recognized and trusted, but it is the inferior product of the two. (The other brand was Fitzwell.)
