I expect to be able to wear boots after a week with just socks. Not bandaids and socks. Then after a month - no socks required.
The interior of these boots leaves something to be desired. The interior seems are sharp and pretty thick. So using my Dremel to take the edges off.
Other than that, a quality product. Just not meant for the everyday wearer.

I have bought many pairs of these Ropers boots over the years, and I like them so much that I thought to buy another pair-(note: during Covid19..) in case this style would not be made anymore. Well... apparently, the dye color is a dark brown now- and also not distressed looking. Upsetting. I am returning them today, and hoping that with my friendly note, they will send the original color---- If so, I would buy 2 pairs. ( In case the new "distressed brown" is forever gone). The Ropers are GREAT boots! Comfortable, durable , and sweet looking!

I've always worn Ariats and love them but they are manufactured in China and in this current Covid crisis I certainly would prefer only to purchase items made in the US. I'll be looking for a new boot manufacturer for my next purchase.

I wanted to love these boots but they were too narrow and the stiff upper hit my shin when walking. I know if I purchase an uncomfortable shoe it will stay in the closet after a few attempts to wear it.

Length was good. Width was somewhat narrow even with a narrow foot. A thick seam inside. Most disappointing thing is boots really aren’t as pictured. There was little to no variation in the coloring at all. Stitching was the same brown as the boot, so no contrast there like is pictured online. And the boots themselves were all the same brown vs the variations in brown shown on the online picture. So instead of being a brown boot with some distressing/stitching contrast, it was just a plain all brown boot. We sent them back for that reason.

I really want these boots to work! I first bought 9 (wide) and the width was perfect but the boots felt too long. So I ordered the 8.5 (wide) and they were SO much smaller I literally couldn't get one of them on. So I'm sending back the 8.5, keeping the 9, and crossing my fingers I don't end up with blisters because they are in fact too long. All this because they are so cute. We'll see if it's worth it!

These run a full size too large. I ordered a 7 and needed a 6. I ordered the size 7 on a Wednesday and had them the following day, Thursday. While I ordered a size 6 on that Thursday morning, I was advised I wouldn't receive them until the following Monday so I canceled the order. They were exactly what I wanted but they would have arrived too late.

I first bought these in a size 8.5. My heel slipped around, so I exchanged for a size 8. I could barely get my foot in, and that was only when wearing the thinnest socks. I really wanted to love these boots - nice quality, attractive, fit wonderfully under and over jeans. Just terribly uncomfortable!

These are great boots but there is 1 downfall: they smell weird! Like new leather and sweat. I've been wearing them for a while now and they still stink! I'm considering getting them professionally cleaned.

Mus admitt, my first try at this style of boot. Loved the heel hieght and the dappling of the leather. But, I found the leather to be real stiff and not comfortable for me. The long and short of it is that it is really not a practical boot for me and can't see myself wearing it much so I sent it back. Just think the stle is not mine which has nothing to do with the boot.

Size is true to fit. Is too narrow for me. I usually buy medium width in all shoes, however this boot is narrow I would need a wide for comfort. They are a bit stiff & would need to be broken in. Not as distressed as I had wanted.

I tried to make these work, based upon the reviews, but the 9.5 felt big and I could not get my foot into the 9. I do not have a wide foot. They also felt uncomfortable though maybe they need to be worn in. I have the Ariat laced work boots and I live in those. These were disappointing.

These are really cute boots. They are very stable unlike other cowboy boots. They are pretty stiff though - maybe I just need to wear them in more, but as for now, my feet get achy after I wear them for an hour or so. The leather is also sensitive - I can just lightly touch the boot with my fingernail and it has a scratch. I do not really mind this, but thought it was worth mentioning. Really, I would consider returning them if I did not wear them just because they are not as comfortable as I was hoping for, but hopefully my feet mold to them more.

I first ordered this boot in my usual size, 6B. The shaft was too narrow to get my foot into the boot. I then ordered size 6C (wide) and still the shaft was too narrow. I do not have a wide foot so this boot clearly runs very narrow at the lower part of the shaft where the stitching is. Sorry they didn't work as I really liked the boot -- great style and quality.

Great looking boot. Hate to give up on it. But it's a squeeze to get on (super tight in arch area). Once on the width is fine. But then you've got to fight to get it back off. And, I'm a size 10 and this is the longest size 10 I ever tried on. If not for the tightness I'd try a 1/2 size down. This pair is going back, unfortunately.

I loved the look of these. I loved how they felt once I got them on my feet. However, as another reviewer stated it was almost impossible to getting them on my feet that I returned them. The only way I could get them on was with bare feet, and since I planned on wearing them with socks, I sent them packing. I love Ariats, and really hope they will just improve these so that I can easily put them on. Please let me know if this happens and I will gladly buy them again!

Nice looking roping style Western boot...but couldn't get my feet all the way into the boot. I am an 8 to 8.5 and ordered an 8 based on reviews. Sadly they are going back. Going with Frye Carsons instead.

I'm not sure I've picked the best boot for what I wanted to get. They are a little wide and not that comfortable. I needed them right away and in retrospect probably needed a smaller size. They are light weight and have good support. I'll wear them but not as happily as the other pair of Ariat boots I bought. They were the same size as these but fit much better. These are wide for the size. Zappos was great to deal with as always.
