Just give em a try! They have the styling of a classic roper boot so they can be cleaned up for formal occasions, but they are more than durable enough to hold up against abuse. I've worn them in thick mud, freezing cold, cleaned stalls, gone fishing in them with the water past my ankle, all sorts of stuff and they just keep going. As the leather has naturally distressed and aged they've grown a personality all their own. The inner stitching around your heel is really tight at first and rubs your skin pretty bad, but once broken in they fit perfectly in the heel. The heel spreads out in such a way that it almost acts like a socket. You heel has enough room to move around, but its just tight enough that your heel wont slip out. And they allow your heel to pop out when you pull them off. I would recommend going a size down from what you wear in normal shoes.

I love how long these boots last, my only problem with them is the break-in period which usually takes me a while and I end up having to protect my ankle bones until they are fully broken in. I am amazed at the size consistency. Every pair of Ariat boots I have are exactly the same size.

I ordered a 7.5 wide and very glad I did. I'm very happy with the fit and the boot itself and color. They were stiff to begin with but I steamed them over the stove and now they fit comfortably. I've received many compliments on them!

I grew up in the midwest wearing boots. Spent a career in the military wearing boots. I stumbled across a pair of Ariat Heritage Roper boots at Wall Drug SD and decided to try them on. They are the most comfortable, well designed boots I have ever worn. I am slowly replacing all my boots for work, dress and utility with Ariat. The only boot I will wear now!!

These boots do t take long to break in and be super comfortableZ easy to put on and get off at the end of a long day. Very stylish would recommend to anyone looking for a new pair of boots.

I received a boot that without exception fit great and comfortable at a really great price. I bought a 2nd pair just to wear for the night out. And the 1st pair for outdoor work which cleaned up really easy.

I love these boots. This is the 3rd time I have bought this style, and have been happy each time. They last a very reasonable length of time and hold up to daily use. They are waterproof around the seams for several years. I would definitely refer Ariat to my friends and family.

I have been wearing this style of boot for at least 15 years, let's just say my big wide feet make shoe shopping tough. I am always comfortable in these boots, and while they may not look pretty anymore, these boots keep performing. The soles and leather really hold up well to my abuse, and besides comfort, that is a huge win in my book

I bought these boots for my husband who rode bareback broncos 50 years ago. He has had no boots since then. These are perfect for him with the rubber soles. They are a perfect fit!!!

I like the roper style, and they are comfortable to wear all day or riding in the saddle. Just wish they also had a dress roper.

Been wearing Tony Lama's for a very long time. They just felt good and comfortable. I gave in to a salesperson and tried on a pair of Ariats. Long story short, I now have multiple pair of Ariat, and it is the first brand boot that i look for. I do have one pair that just will not break in, but in truth, I just don't think i wear them enough, because of the others ones I have are already broken in and too dang comfortable.

Love these boots. These things fit perfect straight out of the box! Pleasantly surprised with their snow/ice performance.

I love the boots. They are very comfortable. I wear them to church, work and to take my wife on a date. The only things better than loving boots is loving God, Jesus and my wife.

This is my third pair and the wear of the soles and heels are far better than any other boots which I have owned. The after purchase of ads was quite annoying, but it was easy to unsubscribe.

Great everyday boot. Comfortable and classic looking boot. I highly recommend. I haven't worn ropers since highschool and I absolutely love these.

I have two pairs and wear them daily. They are comfortable to walk and stand in all day. They break in fast and last a long time. I like that Ariat have narrow widths which are hard to find with other brands. For those new to western boots, they are an easy transition with the roper heel.

I've had 3 pair in 13 years. They have weathered many storms from keeping my feet dry standing un expected puddles or cleaning out barns and stalls. Even though they were not properly cared for they lasted longer then some of the other brand rubber boots I've bought.

Great boots!!! On my 9th pair and they get put through really tough work!!! Will never buy another work boot
