Wonderful shoes: comfortable, supportive and pretty. Out of the box, the soles are quite sticky and can leave black marks but this is simple and quick to fix. Just take 160 grit sandpaper, wrapped over a wood block, and vigorously sand the bottoms. This only has to be done once. Also, the size 8.5 was equivalent to a 7. 5 or even a 7.

I have resisted buying a pair of Bloch's over the years because of their ugliness. However, after wasting money on Zumba brand and others, I finally made the right choice with the Bloch shoe. They were immediately comfortable with lots of support and cushioning. I will ALWAYS wear Bloch shoes. Make sure you order at least 1/2 size larger than your usual size. And thank you Zappos for handling the returns and replacements so quickly!

Very comfortable shoe. I use them for dancing. I've used the Capezio before I found these and the Blochs are so much more comfortable and flexible. They do run small. I usually wear a size 9-1/2 and I bought these in an 11. The 10-1/2 fit the foot but too short in the toe.

These shoes have been wonderful for Zumba class. I originally bought them in black and liked them enough to also purchase the pink ones. I searched out shoes that would protect my knees when dancing. These slide well on the ball of the foot when turning or pivoting in class, but seem to have a good balance with a little traction on the other parts of the shoe so they aren't too slippery. It took a couple classes to get used to wearing these dance shoes instead of fitness shoes, but now I can't imagine Zumba without them.

I haven't tried this out on the dance floor yet, but it looks great. I like the turn spot under the ball of the foot and the split sole has been a winner for me in the past. I'm not a professional dancer, but wanted something unobtrusive for salsa and other dancing.
I'd also recommend:
Capezio, though inferior to this

I bought these for my Zumba workout. I have been wearing Bloch's Evolution pairs that are also awesome shoes for dance workouts, kickbox, dance, etc. I wanted to have different shoes with me so that my feet won't be getting used to only one shape of shoes so I also bought these to have varieties. These are again, extremely comfortable, very stable, yet so light. Most importantly, they allow you to spin, turn, and slide with ease (like Evolution). These have thicker sole then Evolution so my ball of foot feels easier for landing from jumps as well. I got so many compliment on these, especially the pink one. They look much better in person. [I bought two pairs in pink and one pair in black so that I can alternate them. I work out 6-7 days a week.] I avoid wearing most dance shoes outside studios or classrooms though since I don't want the sole getting rough by concrete surface. I hope Bloch will be making these forever (well, at least while I am alive).

Very, very comfortable...but order at least one size larger! Great for salsa practice and zumba no matter how clunky they look. Worth the comfort and protection for legs and feet.

This was my first experience with dance sneakers. I have a hobbit-shaped foot (broad across the ball; narrow in the heel). I chose this one because it had a fair number of reviews from people with width issues who liked it compared with like shoes. I normally wear a 10.5 in sneakers and other flat shoes (on the rare occasion that unicorn size is available) and an 11 in most other women's shoes and boots. It is reasonably comfortable given that my foot size and shape doesn't really exist in women's ready to wear--not too tight across the toe, not too slippy in the heel. I ordered the 12 based on other reviewers suggestions and it was the right size with a light sock. If I wanted to wear a heavy sock I might go up another half size. The support is adequate and the pivot it great (no more tweaking my knees unnecessarily!). I wear them on a hard wood floor and have no problems with slipping. The insoles come out and you could easily substitute a thin orthotic; again, I'd consider going up another half size for a bulky one. I've only worn it twice and can't speak to longevity, but it seems like a sturdy well constructed shoe.

Perfect for a wider foot, especially one with bunions. The reviews are correct in suggesting a full size larger.I ordered a 1/2 size found it to be just on the verge of being too small.

Perfect shoe for dancing! I tried two other Bloch and this one has the most support! I'm usually a size 9 but I got a size 10 and it fits perfectly!

I love my Zumba sneaker dancing shoes. It gives you an easy move when dancing, especially turning around. It has a good arch support as well. When you order just make sure it is 1/2 size bigger of your regular shoe size.

I have been purchasing this dance sneaker from Zappos for many years. I wear a size 10 shoe, but size 11 in this Bloch shoe. It's the only dance sneaker that I would buy, and I recommend it to others.

I have been wearing Blochs for years! I absolutely love Blochs! They run small but once you find your correct fit, you will never wear anything else for dance or Zumba! I normally wear a 9½ in all other shoes and I have multiple feet issues. I purchased this specific design because of the mesh front. I have bunions, plantar fasciitis , and morton's neuromas so a less constrictive front is important to me. I purchased a size 11 and 11½ but the 11 was perfect. I use them for Zumba as well as ballroom so I need a great shoe that will not wear quickly and will not lose its shape either. I strongly recommend they be carried to your class; do not wear them to putter around or you will stretch them out too quickly and will be disappointed. This is my third pair in 10 years, I think that is an amazing track record!

My zumba & belly dance teacher encouraged me to look for a shoe that would work better than a regular sneaker for the pivoting, toe-pointing, etc that is done in dance. After reading the reviews on this shoe, I ordered it & I am extremely pleased with it. It does fit a full size smaller as I am normally a 7 1/2 & ordered the 8 1/2. It fits fine, although I probably would be fine with the 9 as well. I have a huge arch so support was essential. This shoe delivers on that point & it is just so comfortable. So glad I got it! As someone else said, it would be nice to have the same model with bright colors. Love it!

I love these shoes! I was getting aches in my knees in Zumba class and these are the perfect fix! So comfortable and the smooth circle on the bottom allows your feet to swivel rather than staying in one position while your knees turn! I normally wear at 6 1/2 or 7. I ordered a 7 1/2 but had to send back and get the 8 which fits perfectly!

I have tried so many shoes for Zumba and nothing worked until I decided to try these Blochs. I tried running shoes but they didn't have enough lateral support, so I kept lacing them tighter which made my toes fall asleep. I tried cross trainers, but they didn't have the cushioning I needed for my foot issues. (I was a dancer in my youth with some big toe joint issues from dancing on pointe. I spent the past decade running marathons and developed knee problems, too.) The Bloch shoes did not feel "cushiony" right away but they provide excellent shock absorption for my toe join pain. The less "grippy" soles mean that I use my leg muscles more to keep myself from sliding and I don't torque my knees on pivots, so my knees feel much better. The slight elevation of the heel seems to make them more comfortable too. I have very strong arches, so I don't notice a lack of support with the split sole, but that might be a problem for some people. I love these because I can really concentrate more on my workout in Zumba rather than on my shoes hurting! I wear and 8.5-9 and got a 10. They are a tiny bit loose but very comfortable and never rubbed or hurt at all. My only problem is that they make my feet look huge (I am petite) so I only wear them with long bootcut pants to disguise them a bit. With capris or yoga tights, my feet look like clown shoes. The comfort is worth it for me, though, so I will look a bit dorky but get a pain-free workout!

These are dance shoes and work well for a Zumba class because they slide. Dance shoe sizes run smaller than US women's. So be sure to order 2 full sizes larger. I normally wear 9 to 9 1/2 and ordered 11. That was perfect. I've worn them to 2 classes so far and am a happy camper.

I have to say that I'm glad I didn't follow most recommendations on here to go a full size up, as the shoe would have fit me too big. I also do not wear thick socks with these, but the thin no show ankle kind. I'm a 7.5 and went with an 8, which is fine, but my regular size 7.5 would have fit more snug, and that's what you want when dancing for stability. I also have narrow feet, so I think you have to consider all of those factors when choosing your size.

Great for Zumba! The front sole has a spin disc to make certain turns easier on the foot and knee. Great support. Size up on these, I normally wear an 8 and I take a 91/2 for this shoe. Provides great stability in ankle area.

These shoes were a godsend. I was having major knee problems after my jazz and hip hop classes and after a little tlc and getting the proper support from these shoes, I'm able to dance at least twice a week now with a Zumba class or two thrown in. As others have stated, they run very small, I'm a 8-8.5 and I ordered the 10. It fit snug at first and then I danced once and they're perfect now. I cannot emphasize enough, take care of your knees and get these shoes!

I read the reviews prior to purchasing a size & half larger than my six & half. I loved them but felt they weren't snug enough so I returned & exchanged for a half size smaller. The seven & half are very comfortable now & a fit perfect. Loved the pink color, enjoyed wearing them to Zumba class. Customer service was awesome & very helpful with the exchange. I plan to buy a pair of walking sneakers next.
