These appear to be well made tap shoes. We are happy with the quality and style but the sizing is a bit hard to figure out. For reference, we shopping for a slightly smaller than average 10 year old who would normally wear a youth 3.5. The women’s 4.5 in this shoe was a tiny bit tight for her.

Runs small! Overall, great classic tap shoe!

Reviews are correct. I usually wear a 7.5 sometimes an 8 but rare. In these the 8.5 fit perfectly. Thanks all for reviewing!

Great shoe for my first tap class in 30(!) years. Agreed with other reviewers that they run small so had to size up.

Theses are beautiful tap shoes and appear to be well built and sturdy. I ordered one half size larger than my usual size 7 street shoe, thinking the 7 1/2 would allow plenty of toe room. I should have ordered a full size larger, as recommended by other reviewers, instead of going with what the Bloch sizing suggestions indicated. I will be returning these for a size 8. I can't wait to receive my new Bloch shoes!

Per the reviews, we ordered 1 1/2 size larger than our usual size. We did send it back for a bit smaller - one full size larger than our regular size worked out right. As always, Zappos service and policies are awesome!

These are as reviewed. About a size small. My daughter wears a 7 and we ended up with an 8. They are very comfortable and do not need a lot of time to break in.

Fit well but 1 size up. Sound is good. The strap is a little tough to get tight over the top of the foot but overall very happy.

I ordered this shoe for tap dancing in a musical and for tap classes. Mind you I'm a beginner, so I don't have tap shoe experience... The description says 1/2 inch heel, but it is 1 inch. This was disappointing as I wanted the comfort of a low heel. Nonetheless, I'll probably keep them as I like the way they look and fit, and they are very comfortable. The square heel seems stable, and I like the secure slide of the strap buckle as I don't like trying to find the holes in regular buckles. I ordered 1 size larger than my street size, and I'm glad I did. Rarely do I find such a perfect fit.

They seem to run small. Very nice and a great price but I would order at least the next size up from what you normally wear.

Too small

Didn't work at all. I'm size 9 medium, these were really tight. Sold them to my friend.

Were a least a full size to small.

I ordered a half size larger than my normal size 8.5 but my toes were to the end of the size 9 shoe. I had to go up to a size 9.5 so I think this should work. I should have listened to the reviews that were posted. When the size 9 arrived today I could tell that they did not look not a normal size 9. Sigh.

Nice looking tap shoe. My daughter wore them for Thoroughly Modern Millie and her feet never stopped hurting.
