Takes a short time to get used to as there is no sole in the arch area, but very comfortable.

I tried four different pair of zumba shoes, and these fit me the best.
One complaint is that the shoe laces are way too long, and they don't stay put - so the laces come undone most any way I tie them.

Great dance shoe. Although this is really the first shoe I've had to go up a half size in. I know they are to fit snug but really this shoe runs small.

I like these shoes very much. My normal street size is 6, ordered size 6 and 1/2 and they fit perfectly. Use them for dance workout class and they are lightweight, flexible, and the bottom side helps with pivots and moving across the wooden floors with ease. There are many dance sneakers to pick from, I felt these were the best looking of the group I saw. Your feet feel secure and supported for a lot of movement.

Heeded caution on size; ordered up one size and got perfect fit. Also found split sole a bit strange and without rigid orthotics, believe there's a strong possibility for developing plantar fasciitis among those with flatter feet. But I bought expressly to use with prescription orthotics and love overall feel as result. Soles do slow spins a bit, but love that the design + orthotic takes pressure off forefoot (a MAJOR issue for me). Wish there was the New Balance style of final loop/closely-spaced eyelets to get better snug-up along side ankle and into heel. I reversed direction on final loop and got tighter fit. These shoes made even practicing ballroom and Latin on a tile floor bearable! P.S. My size choice was also based on the Capezio "Footlight" dance shoe, in which I also had to go up a full size.

After trying several different shoes, the Capezio Canvas Dansneaker is what I settled on for Zumba. (I found that a regular tennis shoe had too much traction for the pivoting of Zumba, and it was hard on my knees.) The split sole of a dance shoe takes a little getting used to, but I am happy with the Dansneaker for Zumba, and think it might be good for step aerobics, as well. I usually wear a size 9 or 9 1/2 shoe, and needed a size 10 in the Dansneaker.\r\n

These shoes do run small. I saw that many people had recommended this shoe for dancers with wide feet. I wear a ten and a half EE street shoe, so ordered sizes eleven and a half and thirteen. The thirteen fit perfectly. I hope this helps.

My husband usually wears 9 but needed a 12 in these. They just fit but I wish they would make wide dance shoes. Not everyone has narrow to medium width feet

I ordered the Capezio Canvas Dansneaker and the Ryka Studio D because I needed a shoe for Zumba on a carpeted surface. My knee hasn't been the same since having surgery for a torn meniscus several years ago. Because of my sensitive knee, doing Zumba in regular running shoes, was impossible. Unwilling to risk further injury, there was no doubt in my mind I would have to give up Zumba unless I could find the proper footwear that would allow my feet to slide without resistance. Although the Capezio was very light and hard soled, the toe box was too narrow, they lack arch support and I was unable to slide on the carpet like I need to. So I am returning them. My solution was to keep the Ryka Studio D for the roomier toe box and good arch support. They are a softer rubber sole and therefore grip a lot more than the Capezio so my solution was to also purchase Z-Gliderz. My feet are so happy in the Ryka Studio D and with the Z-Gliderz, they slide beautifully on carpet.
I'd also recommend:

I'm an overweight girl and have been doing Zumba since August, but my generic running shoes were cutting off the circulation in my toes during class. I bought these due to great reviews and was initially please with the comfort. They definitely have more flexibility and comfort in the toe and foot, giving me great range of motion for Zumba. The sole also has a great grip/slide ratio so I can do turns easily, but not slip all over the floor. However, after trying these out for 3 months, I've determined that they don't have enough arch support. Since the sole is split, technically they have no arch support, but I didn't notice right away. My arches have been hurting after class and I think it's time for me to move on to try some new shoes. A shame since I have these gently used Capezio Dansneakers taking up space in my closet.

I bought these for Zumba but I don't love the shoes. I think it's because I have plantar fasciitis and they just don't offer enough support under the arch because of the split sole. I also ordered the larger size as most customers suggested and they make my feet look like they're in little pillows! Loved, loved, loved the customer service from Zappos though. Quick delivery and easy return!

Comfortable…but didn't last -
I was very excited to get this shoe, knowing the reputation of Capezio dance shoes. I ordered a 1/2 size larger - based on the other reviews - and was grateful I did. My disappointment was that the seam split very quickly, and then I got a huge rip on the top of the shoe...looking highly unprofessional, I had to get rid of them after only a few months. I would have expected more from Capezio.
I'd also recommend:
I was much happier with my Sansha shoes which lasted years.

I'm giving this low stars because, initially, I thought these were great shoes. I tried them on and they fit fine. However, after trying to dance in them a few times, I found that the left show was pinching around my toe area. I have extremely narrow feet, and the right show feels fine. So I guess I got a lemon pair because the other reviews rave about these shoes. Just beware. Keep the box and paper wrapping. When you try them on, try to actually dance in them for about 10 minutes before you decide to keep them. Otherwise, like me, you won't be able to return them or wear them for dancing.

Come on Zappos, I know you're owned by Amazon now, but don't let your customer service go down the drain! This shoe size and the comments for it were not remotely accurate and I wasted time returning them.

Shoes won't last, they begin to tear around the front plastic after dancing for 2 or 3 months. It's canvas so they breathe well. They suggest for men to order a size larger but I'd say you need a size and a half larger, because they are narrow also. I wanted to like these shoes but they won't stand up to repeated use. Once the canvas begins to tear around the bottom edge of the plastic there is nothing you can do to fix them.

Horrible dance shoe! I bought this with the sole intention of using them for Zumba classes. My feet not only slid around, endangering me the entire time I was on the floor, but my feet were hurting like never before (for 2 days). I would not recommend these at all, unless you just want to wear them around the house.
