This is good for a learn to dance class, not for going dancing. It needs to be a little dressier for going out dancing.

These shoes do run half size small, but they are functional and fairly stylish. The heels do not hold up very long if you have a lot of walking to do. My heels were worn down after only one wearing because of lots of walking on concrete.

Nice dancing shoes! Very comfortable, nice heel height. I like them very much. I wear anywhere between an 8.5-9.0 and I ended up keeping the 9.0 so I would say they run true to size and are a great value.

Love this dance shoe! I started taking a dance class and wondered how in the world I would be able to dance with heels. I'm use to walking in flip flops and flats. However, these are so comfortable, I can dance for hours. The only problem is they run small. I had to get a whole size bigger.

Great shoe for contra dancing - This shoe has a great fit and gives a little bit of height. It is a great look and functions well for those of us who like to contra dance.

I am very happy that Zappos carries a full line of Capezio Dance shoes. They arrived promptly and fit perfectly. To buy locally I would have to travel 40 miles. It's nice to know I can purchase on line from a company with free shipping both ways in case I have a problem.

Great because it has that strap that will prevent the shoe from slipping off. However, the lining on the sole and heel are slippery and take a while to wear down.

Based on other reviews, I ordered these larger than my normal size. They are too large, so I am returning them to order my normal size.

Very comfy! I bought these for dancing in and I have no complaints. I took a cross-section of the advice in the earlier reviews and bought my normal size in a wide and they fit perfectly, plenty of room for the tows with good arch and ankle support. I am not usually someone who wears a wide shoe though, so I expect this means they run narrow.

These are the softest shoes! No breaking-in necessary! If you wear "between size", go to the bigger size and they'll fit perfectly.

I normally wear a 9W in a dress shoe with nylon hosiery. I ordered a 10.5W in this shoe and it seems to fit just right. Should be great for ballroom dancing.

These are great shoes. I ordered these for my 11 year old who is in the Show Choir and needed character shoes. It's a nice for the price since she'll outgrow them by the end of the school year.

I purchased the same shoe locally when I started ballroom dancing last September, but the local dance supply stores do not carry a large selection in the wider widths. I found it more convenient to order from Zappos.com where I had a large selection of colors, styles and sizes. They shipped it right out and I received my shoes in two days! The shoes are very comfortable on my feet, and that's especially important because I have had joint replacement on two of the toes of my right foot.

This is one of the most comfortable dance shoes I've ever worn! Great if you need a wide width.

Upon reading other reviews, I decided to order this shoe one size larger and am glad I did! It was a perfect, comfortable fit. Also, the heel is just the right height -- enough to give you a little "lift". Along with the trusted Capezio name, what's not to love?

They are the best dance shoes I have used. I bought the same size I wear in sneakers and they are perfect.

My daughter wears a woman's size 7 but luckily I read the other reviews and ordered a size up. Otherwise it fits fine, and I'm glad Zappos carries Capezios so I don't have to trek across town to the Capezio store.

You may know these as kickline shoes or brown character shoes. Bought these for my daughter and I ordered them 1/2 size larger than her street shoe, perfect fit!

Wow! I ordered the shoes on Sunday and they arrived on Tuesday! After reading the reviews, I decided to buy a 1/2 size bigger. I normally wear a solid 7, and the 7 1/2 fits perfectly. I don't have a wide foot, just normal and these seem to be perfect. I bought them for an upcoming community theater production I am in.
