Review of the SoftWalk San Mateo, blue scrolled leather - Felt shorter and the uppers not as soft as my last pair of san mateos. However, I’m keeping them and hoping they will soften with time. Also the toes are not as high up as the other pairs' toe, just not as comfy. As usual the soles are heavenly, and I’ll buy more from this line I’m sure.

They were not what I expected...I thought they looked like the leather was soft and pliable, but the leather is hard and stiff...It is a good looking shoe, I am hoping that with wear they will relax more, so I will keep them, but they are not my favorite shoe...

Okay, but a little disappointing... My hairdresser highly recommended the brand, so I decided to give it a try. Overall, the shoe is good, but the leather upper is a bit stiff/hard and I'm hoping as I wear them it will soften up and get "broken in" - that's the only complaint I have about the shoe itself.

Dressy looking shoe - The style is what I was looking for. They're a good looking shoe but seem to run narrow. I'm sure in time they will stretch out.

Very nice - The shoes are as comfortable as I’d imagined. Not quite slippers or sneakers, but almost as good. I got them a half-size up so my heel would be sure to clear the "cup" in the back. They fit perfectly. I have diabetic feet, so comfort is crucial for me. The one thing I would have changed...I would have preferred less of the shiny finish to the leather.

Julie's Soft Walk Clog - I really love the comfort of Soft Walk. Work in retail and stand on a cement floor 80% of the time. I find very few shoes that I can wear all day and still walk normal at the end of the evening. My hips and knees are affected by my long day.

Nice shoe - Nice shoe, had to get use to the bumpiness inside, padding is comfortable.

In the photo the leather has a soft luster to it; in reality, the shoes are quite shiny – almost artificially so. It looks like some sort of coating they've put on the leather. Also, they fit quite close to my foot, and the sole feels thin. There is a very pillowy padding to the insole, but underneath that is a thin, hard rubber sole. I'm used to wearing Merrills and then got converted to Keens (even more comfortable), and so this shoe doesn't measure up to comfort. If the leather looked like it does in the photo, that would have made up for it somewhat. But it doesn't. Not a shoe for lots of walking or standing, and not as nice as it looks in the picture.

The Only Choice - I have very wide, sensitive feet. Very few brands fit me comfortably. I am grateful they come in a variety of colors. I a sure I do not stand alone when it comes to such problem feet.

Soft leather clogs - I like the shoe - very comfortable. I only wish that the cushion lining was black, not beige - it shows when I wear the shoe.

6W San Mateo - If you have a high instep you may want to avoid. The toe box is NOT high. Even with the W width I had to work with stretching the shoe for comfort. It has worked out, but you don't expect to have to do alterations at this price, for issues that didn't appear up until worn awhile.

I love the cushioned inner sole on this shoe. For a clog-type shoe it has a neat look. Arch support is adequate and overall it is a comfortable shoe for walking and general wear. I may even order some of the other colors. Zappos overnight delivery is just the greatest.

Comfortable slide - The San Mateo is comfortable to stand in--due to SoftWalk "egg crate" cushioning footbed. After wearing the shoe all day, however, I had some rubbing and soreness along my instep. Perhaps, however, that is due to my particular foot shape rather than the shoe.

One shoe felt smaller and narrower :=( These are so cute, but one shoe felt more narrow and smaller than the other... not the shoe's fault I'm certain, probably an owner issue. But very cute: I will try to gently stretch out the one shoe, 'cuz the right one feels great. I would buy again.

I love the feel of these shoes and I need the extra room in the toe area. I just wish that the shoes did not make my foot look so fat.

Great shoe, but... This is a great shoe -- my left foot is just loving it. However, the right shoe does not quite fit right. The major issue is that the shoe is more than wide enough (I take a WW), it is just not "tall" enough for my high arch. If you have a wide foot, you will love it unless you have a high instep as well.

This is a great looking shoe. I have very wide feet and this shoe was comfortable from the minute I stepped into it. The only problem is that the shoe is wide in the midsection also, causing it to gape.

These are so comfortable! This is my second pair of San Mateos, the first was the smooth leather style, the second the woven style. They are both very comfortable for my very wide, very swollen arthritic feet. My only gripe is the leather weave came unraveled slightly, the second time I wore them, on the side of my shoe and sticks out a bit. Soft Walks are just about the only shoe I can wear, I just wish they weren't so expensive. Zappos, you are great as usual!! Thanks for the fast shipping.

Had to send it back and trade for another style that comes in 3A. It was completely true to size--just too wide for my skinny feet.

9 WW (E)Walnutwovwn - Very soft, very comfortable shoe! I have very wide feet with a painful problem on the ball of one foot, so this shoe if perfect for me. They do remind me of my grandfather's bedroom slippers though.

They are very comfortable and required absolutely no break in time and I do not regret buying them, but did have some disappointments. There were three areas where the stitching snagged my hose and irritated my skin, plus a spot at the back where the stitching unraveled after being worn just four times. Also, there are "wings" on each side of the shoes where they flex with footsteps and do not retract when at rest. However, I bought them with plans to wear them while traveling in Ireland and think they will be great for that purpose.
