These were a gift from my sister and I love them! They fit true to size and with the lace up a thicker calf isn't a problem. Be sure to check the holes for the laces that they are completely cut. My first pair had a few holes not cut. But as usual, Zappos was amazing getting me another pair overnight!

These are awesome. Worth every penny! They run about a half size large. I ordered a full size down and they are a bit snug but I decided to tough it out. They seem to be stretching with wear. They were quite uncomfortable the first time I wore them. I recommend a half size down, not a whole size.

For smart goth girls. Okay, man magnet alert! If you didn't want to attract every male in any radius around you, this isn't the boot for you. They're absolutely comfortable, ooze gothy gyspy boho styling, and are literally a dream on your feet. For arch support, pick up arch orthotics at Duane Reade or something, since these bend with your feet so nicely, they will mold. They're literally the hottest boots I've owned. Everyone here in Brooklyn asks me where I got 'em. I'm actually waiting for Zappos to restock my size. My first pair of knee high black ones, I got 'em 5 years ago and they're still perfect, lovely faded and molded to my feet. Seriously, Zappos rules for carrying these, and I'm serious - be careful if you go out with this boot and you didn't want male or female attention, you will get both. All my guy friends for some reason stare at these for hours, it's like a spell. Maybe because I look so radiant and comfy wearing them. Don't even hesitate buying these. And Zappos, best company I've ever incorporated into my life, Amazeballs! Have a sweet day!

After four days of being extremely impatient, I finally received these boots. Before I purchased them I spent a lot of time reading the reviews, which many people said to order a size bigger. I went against my better judgement and ordered a size up. Oh what a mistake that was! They are so big that I can't even walk correctly in them. If you plan on wearing big chunky socks, then you may want to get a larger size, but if you are like me and would rather have your moccasins fit snug, then you should order the size you normally would. I just spoke with a Zappos representative and had her exchange the boots for a smaller size. I just want to point out how extremely easy, helpful, and nice this representative was. I ordered these boots for my upcoming engagement photos, which I told her about and she upgraded my shipping for free so that they would be here in time. I am extremely pleased with the service Zappos offers and will definitely order from them again. Thank you again, Tisha! You were a pleasure to do business with!

This is my first pair of Minnetonkas and I love them! I'm about 5'4" and they hit right below the knee. I'm usually a 7 1/2 and ordered a 7 and they fit just right. They rub a little bit at the ankles and toes but just need a little bit of breaking in. As always, got my order super fast and the customer service is excellent!

These are super comfy boots. The leather is really soft and the sole is comfortable which I was worried about. My husband loves them, says they look hot.

These boots are so cute and also comfortable IF you get a pair that is properly stitched. The first pair I ordered arrived with a hard nodule in the left boot (maybe a large ball of rough stitching or some glue). The right boot was perfect and comfortable. I contacted Zappo's for an exchange, which they processed quickly and helpfully. The second pair I received was better, but this time, the left boot was perfect and the right had a patch of rough stitching, not nearly as uncomfortable as the first pair, but still chafing. (This pair looked like it might have been returned, and I wonder if it was because of this rough spot on the inside). Thinking maybe I was being oversensitive and perhaps the rough spot would smooth out with use, I wore them. Sadly, that rough spot is still there and quite painful, even through socks. I am trying out Moleskin to see if that will help, but I wish I had exchanged these ones too. Shoes like this should not be uncomfortalbe even a little, as my experience with the left boot attests. So my bottom line review is: These are fantastic, cute, comfortable, fabulous boots, BUT make sure you try them on and exchange them as many times as necessary to get 2 comfortable boots. I'm a reliable size 9, and the size 9 I ordered seems to fit great.

These boots are really cute and comfortable. The only thing I don't like is they are very hard to put on and take off as well. But I do recommend them.

The boot is very nicely fitted. the suede is thick and soft. the only thing is the sizing is in between. I wear a 6.5 or 7 normally so the 6 is too small and the 7 is half inch too big. Oh and if you are wide footed this might be tight on you but it will stretch.

As far as the style of these boots go they are really cute, but the sizing is a little small. I am a 7.5 and usually size up to an 8 in boots. Now as far as length goes the fit is good, but the width is narrow. I don't have wide feet and I would prefer them to be wider, but not bad for me. They don't hurt, it's more aesthetics for me, but I feel if you do have wide feet these would not be good a boot for you. They may stretch a bit being that they are leather, but I don't know how. Bottom line, cute boots, but size up.

Love these boots! The material itself is high-quality (except for the delicate laces), and the style is perfect. When I first received the box, some of the fringe was laid incorrectly - so I had to set the boots out with a weight to have them sit back in their correct place. The laces, easily snap and break because they're so thin (I just bought new ones at Michael's). I noticed the lining up of the laces holes were slightly 'off', as well. Even though these are my favorite boots, I wouldn't necessarily say they're made the best. Quality of material, yes, quality of making, not so much. They're hard to get on but super comfy once on. Wear heavy socks the first times because (like all new shoes) I got blisters on my heels.

I ordered a half size down and they fit perfect! The fit and look of these are great. They are really comfy. My only complaint is that they are hard to get on and off. Once laced they are so tight that you almost have to unlace to pull them off which is a pain.

I bought these a few years ago, and hardly ever wear them. I really love them, though. They are a little over the top. I finally found a good way to wear these to work (on Fridays), when it's cold out and my tighter jeans tucked in. They have a nice boho vibe to them. They are pretty comfortable, but the heel kind of rubs the wrong way. I just got another pair of ankle Minnetonkas with fringe that I like a bunch more because they are easier to wear (putting on and taking off, and easier for my style). These would be great if you are a young person - I think they are great on teens, girls in their 20's. I'm on the high end of my 30's and feel like these are a very youthful boot.

I have owned these since they were first introduced and I still love them. They aren't great in snow, they don't have great arch support, which is none, but the way the wrap around your calves is unequaled in any other boot I have worn. I live in Wisconsin, so I know snow, but they will keep you warm!

Oh, my goodness. These are THE most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! The height is just perfect for leggings, slim jeans, or skirts. I would wear them everywhere if I could (they just don't go with my work scrubs). These boots are a PAIN to lace up initially and a PAIN to get on and off the first few times, but the time and energy are well worth it. They are far more comfortable than other Minnetonka boots I've purchased, so I will deal with the hassle of getting them on and off, though I did take away a star for that aspect. I am not completely in love yet with the way they look on me, but I think that's because I am so accustomed to the more elegant, cosmopolitan look of riding boots. Oh, well. I replaced a pair of those with these Minnetonkas because the former were just to darned rigid and uncomfortable after having these on my feet. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for stylish, comfy boots that go with just about any outfit. I am going to save up for a pair of brown ones. Then I can get rid of every other pair of boots I own! FYI: As other reviewers have stated, these WILL get dye all over your fingers and it is rather difficult to remove from skin. Also, the lace holes do not line up, which can create a bit of bulging around the edges. Not atrocious-looking, but definitely not a polished look either.

I'm a US 6 and ordered a 6 & find the size is accurate, however if you're going to wear thick socks, you might want to upsize. The toe is a bit pointy, so if you have wide toes, I wouldn't suggest these. Also, if you are short, I'm 5', these come right up to the knee cap, anyone shorter wouldn't be happy. I love them and with skinny jeans being in style, they are a perfect match. I have received several compliments too.

I bought a pair in the brown a couple years ago and I love them! They are so comfortable, warm and fun. I tried ordering the black twice but both times the black dye rubbed off on my legs and fabric on the car seat when driving. Sent both pairs back and was very disappointed. I'm tempted to try again as that was sold from a different company although they were Minnetonkas. I also had tried purchasing the brown and the black purse that matches but they also rubbed off onto my shirts. Sent those back as well. That was even more disappointing because the purse is so cute and perfect size. Oh, well. The brown boots are great.

They are very cute...even if you have a large calf they'll hug it nicely, but I love them but they are narrow so I have to break them in. Plus I'm a teenager and I'll give them the okay for any teen.

Love their unique style, smell and feel of soft suede leather, however, inserting the laces could present a challenge for the cord's tip is bare with no lead attached also I'm 5.3 ft legs average height so the back top of the boot chafes a bit behind the knees when worn on bare legs. There is enough room to tuck skinny jeans in. TIP: insert foot insoles for added support and structure

I read all the reviews before I purchased & bought a size down from my 5 1/2 foot & got a 5. My heel rubs & when the laces are tied up the leather bunches up. I tried loosening & tightening but nothing worked. My foot kept sliding off the side of the insoles. These are beautiful & I really wanted them to work because I love the Bohemian look but did not work for me. I was afraid to get a size 6 to try my luck with them because these are a bit pricy to have them rub in the back & have to take them to a shoe cobbler to add extra holes to try & prevent the leather from gathering.

Loved the boots, very pretty 7 great colour (brown), however true what others reviews said, lacing them is a bit of a pain, but the worst for me was taking them on & off, and having to re-lace the tops every time. I ordered the Minnetonka 5 fringe knee boots, they arrived today & they are the "ones"!!! More comfortable...easy EASY on & off, I think the 5 fringe (at least for me) fit better and were far more practical!! They are adorable & am looking forward to wearing them!!

Looks amazing and are really comfortable to walk in! Unfortunately, even with my thin calf getting them on and off takes so much time. Had to return them for that reason.

I love these boots but the second time I wore them the ankle seam ripped. It was only seven bucks to fix at a shoe repair store but still it kind of sucked.
