Hubby thought these felt too stiff, and the dark brown isn't quite the color he wanted. They're a nice shoe, though. We live in CA, and if we lived in a colder, wetter place the stiffness might be worth it for the waterproofing.

Ran at least a size larger heel went up and down even at smaller size. The leather and overall quality was good.

Okay shoe. Did not last as long as I would have liked for the price.

Very good show, except the heel wears out quickly. A bit wide in the heel, but perfect in the forefoot for someone with narrow heels and wide front. If you have skinny bony high arched feet like mine, these do bite the ankles after a few days of wear. they work well with orthotcs

I didn't bother trying these on as the color was _way_ more olive than the image suggested (I bought the dark brown leather). When I received the shoes, they looked almost yellow, definitely not the rich dark brown that the picture and description suggest. The material also felt plasticky, cheap, didn't inspire confidence in my purchase.

Bought this shoe primarily because it was waterproof. It looked to be comfortable since it had a thick sole. Well the shoe is extremely comfortable, but not waterproof. It actually is less waterproof than my shoes that are not labeled water proof. The soles wear out quick. I am a outside heel striker and the outside of the heels wore out after two years. To be fair I do walk a lot but that is the quickest I have had a sole wear out.

I really, really wanted to keep this pair of shoes. I love the look and they fit well on the front of my foot. However, the back of the shoe chafed my heels bloody after a couple hours of wearing them.

Shoes look great, however the soles are very stiff. Walking any distance at all makes my arches hurt.

I wear a EEE or EEEE depending on the shoe. These were supposed to be 4E, but they are a bit too snug. Initially, they were stiff and uncomfortable, but now they've become more flexible, but they're still a bit too tight.

Received these shoes yesterday. They are advertised as Dark Brown. Indeed, there are only two color choices - Dark Brown and Black. It even says "Dark Brown" on the box though the photo on the label is of a lighter shoe. The shoes are, in fact, a light brown - more a cafe latte. So this was unexpected and very disappointing. Could not be bothered to exchange or refund. The shoes are comfortable and the right size. I have ordered other versions of this shoe before and found them to be reasonably durable. The sole on this pair, though, looks like some kind of foam urethane - so I will see how long they last.

The heel of these shoes are much wider than other shoes of a simmilar style. This makes them slip on every step unless you have a very wide heel. There is also no padding on the heel, so when it slips, it digs in and rips a hole in your foot. Very uncomfortable. They look good though!

I don't think I'd buy this particular shoe again; in the image it appears to be a dress shoe with some extra tread for weather however when worn it looks more like a boot. It tries to appear more like a shoe by having a low-cut heel but that ends up working against it too as the heel rubs hard against the tendon (I had to take a break from wearing this shoe while my heel recovered). In the end I find I don't wear this shoe all that often because of the feel and it's too boot-ish to be worth the trade of comfort for style. As for it's ability to handle water - no problems there, wearing in rain and shallow puddles isn't a problem. I ended up wearing a substantially less expensive High top waxed canvas with high rubber midsole to protect from puddles (Palladium Pampa Hi).

After spending most of the last 30 years wearing one, and only one brand of casual shoe (rhymes with Dom McDan, whose retail purveyor will probably go bankrupt before year's end), I decided to branch out with these Rockport. I ordered the size I've always ordered, a 11.5 EEEE, and although they came in true to width, there was almost a full inch of space in front of my big toe. I exchanged them for a 10.5 (a size I haven't worn since college), and they were much better. Stylish and good-looking, they fit reasonable well. Although they don't have the cushioning my old Dom McDans always had, and they wear a little stiff out of the box, I'm sure they'll break in well. Zappos has an excellent exchange process, btw.

The shoes look great, are well made with quality materials and should last for a long time. They fit well and even with the solid construction are light to wear. After a week of wearing them for work they are still cutting into my ankles on the outside of each foot. It seems the top edge is very stiff, sharp and being unpadded continues to dig into each ankle to the point that I have stopped wearing them and purchased a replacement pair of a different brand. I would suggest that when trying new brands or styles of shoes that you try them at a brick and mortar store and then make your decision where to buy them from.

I've worn this shoe for years because it's the only affordable oxford I can find in a narrow (B) width that isn't really ugly. It's a good shoe for a while and even reasonably waterproof, but the sole wears very quickly and then has poor traction in wet or icy conditions. Obviously not worth repairing, because the overall quality is pretty marginal. Lately the inner lining of the heel has begun to wear out also. Check your pair carefully for fit and defects, especially around the heel. Thankfully Zappos does free exchanges.

They fit fine but have no style. They look nice online but appear cheap in person. They're not cheaply made, they just appear that way.

A nice quality shoe, but for me a little older looking than I had hoped for.
